The interface is simple and effective. The support is great as well - very helpful plus they often run free or very low-priced webinars with lots of valuable content. Cons I would like to be able to easily see my non-engaged contacts so I can remove them so it doesn't count towards my subscriber numbers - this can be done with some settings however seems complex and I haven't gotten around to trying to work it out yet. Switched from [Klaviyo](https://www.capterra.com/p/156699/Klaviyo/) I moved from B2C to B2B so didn't need a lot of the features Klaviyo had, plus I found it a bit expensive. Pros ActiveCampaign was our BIG step up into the big leagues of email strategies for our business. Having a solid email strategy is key these days with how crazy other marketing platforms can be. We are able to connect with our "people" at any time, knowing everyone gets the email. No algorhythm here. Cons I wish there was a way to add photos to the media library without having to be in a campaign creation. This is somewhat frustrating. Pros Activecampaign is the most advanced email marketing platform I've used in my career as an internet marketer. I love the modern interface and how easy it is to create email lists and campaigns. So many page builders integrates with Activecampaign . Cons Nothing really serious at the moment, newbies could easily get overwhelmed with the advanced interface, I personally struggled with figuring out if my list was working correctly after I linked it to my squeeze page. AC allowed me to create robust funnels in sales, customer service, sales recovery, welcome emails and many more. I am extremely satisfied with AC and always recommend it to my friends. Pros active campaign is the most powerful tool when it comes to automations. It was the only software that allowed me to create complex funnels for my online course. My work is now completely automated with AC and it was very easy to setup. Cons honestly, nothing. I have used others softwares before and AC was the best one. Maybe a calendar view for the scheduled campaigns would be a good feature. All things considered, it was excellent that there were so many onboarding studios. It just seems like there were a lot of times were getting things started would be expected. Pros what i like the most in the software is like the fact that it is very effective and sufficient. Cons it's not a beginner friendly and it's hard to use especially someone with no experience. Graphic Designer Marketing and Advertising Used the software for: 2+ years ### "A really slick product with a few performance issues that keep it under 5 stars" June 27, 2017 4.0 Pros ActiveCampaign's feature set is really hard to beat (I know, because we had some performance hiccups that had me researching alternatives); the automation tool is unequaled by any competitors, and ties in very neatly with their sales pipeline component. Cons My only real complaint is that the server infrastructure their product sits on appears to be a little underpowered; at times the system is unusable due to slow loading pages. We have had some hiccups with the software where it was absolutely not working correctly, but support was able to provide a workaround eventually until the issue was resolved. Those issues did cause some major disruption to a large campaign. Additionally, their SMS solution can only send 1 message per second, which is fine, but that limitation wasn't noted anywhere, so we made the mistake of broadcasting to a large list, and the final messages weren't delivered for over a week. The application is easy to use and is an affordable solution when compared to other similar applications. Presence of additional features like sort and organize and provision of filters by analyzing customer records based on their purchase lists and event engagements. Integrations to meet all business types. Integrates with Google applications like spreadsheets, docs etc. Sales pipeline component and the campaign automation features are the best for active campaigns. Templates available and you can create your own templates, with which you can work to personalize emails and add-on graphics. Assigning tags to each customer based on their interactions is another unique feature. Cons Attachment of an image to the email message is time-consuming. Real-time custom recording of events is absent. Manipulation of data and exporting feature is also absent. An outdated application program interface. It is an affordable solution but lacks a lot of features that similar automation systems have. President Marketing and Advertising Used the software for: Less than 6 months ### "Promising but poor support, bugs and clunky interface make it hard to use" July 6, 2020 4.0 I have been attempting to do the following: Email marketing campaigns New customer onboarding email automations Customer satisfaction surveys and Google review solicitation Pros The tool has a quite a bit of promise. It has a usable automation designer that would be terrific if it weren't so slow. Their onboarding process is pretty good, with phone-based coaching calls for a limited startup period. Cons The "wait until" feature for automations frequently fails to work properly, leaving users stuck forever in a wait state that should have ended. The price is not very affordable. The email design tool for campaigns is generally very crude and really only fit for designing plain text emails. Also, there is no easy way to undo changes. Pressing "ctrl-z", which is an industry standard control key for "undo", often will lose ALL of the work that you have done. Support via their chat tool is non-existent, because wait times are often longer than an hour. There is no phone support. Support via their Facebook group is problematic because they sometimes delete posts that ask about, or point out, defects in the software. Some support tools that would be helpful, such as "study groups", are not free. There is no integration with most other software tools, and where there IS integration, it is often buggy and unreliable. The WooCommerce integration is a good example of that. Another good example of that is their integration with G Suite, which is so bad that it's embarrassing and they should be ashamed of it. Pros Really appreciate the reporting aspects of automations, keeping track of contacts "in the flow" and the tagging and query capabilities. The form builder is solid and easy to integrate, the options are many, and you can mold it around your needs. The support team is always eager to provide specific assistance and guidance and help in any way they can. Cons I wish it had a way to block "garbage" emails - so more filtering on the front-end forms. It helps you know what deals are most worthy of your time, helps you optimize your emails, and predicts the best time to send. It's incredible. Additionally, the workflow builder is really clean and easy to use. They also offer a really intuitive chat bot for on site messaging. ActiveCampaign is a great tool. Cons The CRM is a little wanting. It's clear the focus is on email marketing and marketing automation. I would say it's probably not the best CRM solution for a larger B2B company with long buying cycles. But other than that note, there's not much I don't like. Review Source Paul R.
