It allows us to build systems for private clients that is quite profitable. Pros My company uses this software for many different applications. We've developed systems that use the emailing and texting features in Activecampaign to accomplish marketing goals that would otherwise be hard to do manually. The value is fantastic because we get a lot of small scale projects. It's a pretty fair monthly price for the basic plan considering the services you get. They are absolutely critical for my list-management quality. Pros As a copywriter and not a tech person, Active Campaign took away the tech hassle I used to have. Right now I can focus on writing the best emails, deploy them and that's it. Cons Between saying that you want to add an email and actually copy and past the email into the software, it's a bit time-consuming as you have to go too many steps that could easily be all together in a single page. Customer service or support does little or nothing to help me get out from their putting a hold on my account all because they found a filler text in my email. Pros Nothing. I like nothing about them at all! Cons They put my account /under review/ because there was a place holder text in one of my email campaigns. This place holder did not appear in my Test email I sent to myself. NOR did Active Campaign notify me at the time of my test email that they had an issue with a place holder text. Instead, in the midst of my campaign they stopped all of my emails so my new subscribers are unable to receive my emails. NOW I can not send out ANY Email bec they placed my Account 'UNDER REVIEW? I fixed the problem but to no avail I cannot send out any emails and do not know how to lift their Under Review which means my account is on hold. Pros The most impactful feature is the deliverability rate, never again an email going to the "promotion" folder, always manage to deliver at the up of the "priority folder". Super cool. Pros It's easy, it's clean, it makes sense. The customer service is SO GREAT. They are so friendly, and really take time to show you how to do things. Which is so great as this stuff can be confusing!! They make you feel good :) Cons It can be a bit confusing to sort out tags and segments. Pros It's simple and easy to use, yet extremely powerful whether you are a light or heavy user. Automations and campaigns are easy to create and the guides and templates are very helpful. Cons It can be a little difficult to figure out how to do something particular at times, with some of the settings and features you need to know where they are before looking for them! I'd like to be able to see at a glance the email address that opened the email in the campaign activity stream... I also wish they had more support available during a disruption of service. Cons They finally improved HTML capabilities so our team is in a much better place. May 19, 2021 5.0 Pros I like so many aspects of the software. We mainly use it to send out newsletters to our customers and we also use it to collect newsletter entries fully GDPR complaint. We manage a variety of email lists with ActiveCampaign and use automations to send out information automatically. In our opinion, ActiveCampaign offers many features and a robust platform for a good price. ActiveCampaign is one of the leading solutions and is integrated with a lot of SaaS tools. It revolutionalized our way of doing business. We knew it was a simple email marketing tool, but it allowed us to do automation. Think of this, you send an email and then if they click on the button in your email, you can then retarge them on your website. On top of that, we were able to automate certain email flows. The customization was neat where we could automate based on days or even inaction. We heavily utilize their RSS feed function to provide our customers automated emails with curated content from our website. I'm particularly glad that Active Campaign is constantly updated and upgrading their software which as a client brings me piece of mind. Cons There are different pricing structures that might not fit everyone's budget needs. I've experienced more frustrations than positives and I'm not entirely convinced I'm going to finish out my paid year on it (but I also don't want to deal with migrating yet again to another platform, so I'm willing to continue to try it for a little longer). Pros I moved to AC because it provided more data and insight than my prior platform - FloDesk. At this point I'm still too early to get much out of the data provided and utilize it. Cons Oof the AC platform has not been my favorite. There is a massive learning curve to using it, and I feel like my Virtual Assistant and I are constantly putting out fires. The emails themselves aren't aesthetically pleasing and quite difficult to make them as I would really like them to look. We are on the most basic level which is about the cost of other platforms, but I feel like we get less for this $$. For one, I got beautiful landing page capabilities on FloDesk but not so much for AC. Sure I could pay more for it, but the cost is astronomical compared to competitors and hard to justify when I'm barely happy with the product as is. The person who onboarded us was hitting up my phone daily to remind me to sign up and pay, but then when we eventually reached out to her for questions after she was unavailable (and now seems she's not even at the company any longer?
