I just like staring at and drooling over the organizational Mecca’s I create in minutes. I would not consider myself a techy kind of gal, but I feel like the boss of the universe with my organized contacts and my streamlined funnels. Plus everyone I’ve ever talked to from ActiveCampaign has been kind and helpful, not condescending and not confusing. It’s so nice to have software I like, trust, and feel professional with. Cons I just thought of another thing I love: not having to sign in with a huge long process each time I need to access my account. Okay what are the cons? Hmmm. Sometimes it takes two seconds from when I press “save and exit” to when the browser exits the campaign. That’s the worst of it. The tag feature allows you to keep track of large quantities of people with important notes. The customer service is truly phenomenal. The live chat feature is by far the best I've experienced in my time as a marketing professional. The "reports" feature gives you most of the information you need to know in an easy-to-digest format. Cons There are some issues with using graphics and compatibility with Outlook, but there are some workarounds to make it manageable. The "reports" feature could be better - I wish there was a capability to export the data for multiple campaigns in spreadsheets for better data analysis. November 10, 2023 5.0 Pros ActiveCampaign is SO easy to use and set up. Our monthly email have never looked better! I love that we can track open rates, unsubscribes, and link clicks quickly and efficiently. We have saved so much time (and money) but setting up our marketing with ActiveCampaign and letting the program do all of the heavy lifting. The customer service representatives are always willing to help and even make videos for you to watch if you're having an issue. Pros ActiveCampaign is very intuitive and user friendly. Cons I feel like the HTML features could be improved. For instance, if I build a campaign from HTML, I would like to see the same options listed to 'add' as I do when I build a campaign from scratch. I was able to not only set up a test campaign in just a few minutes, but also was able to sync it with a sample data set within my CRM. Cons Trial is very short (14 days only) which isn't enough time to really give the automation a good run through. Also, while it does work in conjunction with our CRM, the unique ID in Active Campaign seems to be the e-mail address which makes it difficult to build complex profiles. Everything was easy to find and their introductory course and videos made it very easy to find solutions to common questions. I also liked that they have integrations with various platforms and we didn't need a developer to integrate. Cons What I didn't like about this platform was how they set up their dashboard. We manage multiple email marketing clients and everything is grouped together. It is not for people who manage other accounts. I also did not like their reporting function, they only report if the receiver does certain functions. I also was not a big fan of their templates. Pros We looked long and hard for a good CRM and Marketing Automation combo option. ActiveCampaign won the race. We've really liked them over the past year. They give a lot of functionality for the price point offered. Cons Their UI can be a bit buggy and their Gmail Chrome extension doesn't always work like it should. I wish they were a little faster at fixing the bugs we find. The software program is so robust that it is also slow to load at times. I don’t like the reminder system. I wish there was an option to organize them differently. Pros It integrated easily into my webhost weebly. Its also very intuitive and easy to use and I use it to generate leads on my website by offering customers coupons upon their visit. Pros It was affordable and the tool is complete, had a lot of things that we needed at the moment. Not a bad investment if you want marketing automation + CRM all in one. Cons Their segmentation is really bad, they don't allow us to create lists of people to deploy campaigns to, but we have to create tags, and send emails based on tags, however, it's not clear if we could narrow tags down to a few attributes or not. I've had team members who felt it was super hard to use for automation. Others who didn't. Pros I really love and appreciate the ease of use. It's super easy to throw together an email, assign tags, create lists, etc. Cons I wish it was more customizable. I pay a lot and it doesn't really match where I am with my business income-wise.
