Pros Extremely feature-rich. Just about anything that can be done with email software you can do with AC, and it has advanced reporting features as well. Great visual campaign builder. Cons UI is slow, buggy, and unintuitive. You might have to do a good bit of research before figuring out how to do even basic tasks. I am happy with the email design functionality and ability to create automations. Pros I love the ease of use, especially within the email designer. Automations within this platform are much easier that I've experienced in 3 other competotirs. Intended interoperability between CRM and email platform will work well. Cons There is some progress to be made. They are missing a crucial component of being able to track each individual email sent within the CRM, such as within Pipedrive. I know they are actively working on their IMAPing, but it is not yet complete. Also, I would appreciate the ability to be able to organize email campaigns into folders. We connect it to our landing pages, QR codes, website email optin pop-up, and others. The email editor works well and creates attractive newsletters. Segmentation is very easy and detailed analytics are also another helpful bonus. Cons There is definitely a large learning curve and I think AC would be better suited for a larger company that makes a lot of their sales from email. The campaign automations are what I really like about this tool that set it apart from the other tools we'd tested. Here you're able to customize almost every detail of the drip campaign from the day of the week to the time of day (in the recipient's time zone). This is great when you're working with prospective clients all over the world. Customizing the emails to make them personalized and adding graphics were a breeze. They provide templates for you to work with as well as the option for you to create your own. Being able to have the freedom to be as creative or cookie cutter is always a plus! Pros ActiveCampaign is an incredibly versatile and capable email marketing software. We used it among other things to setup our marketing campaigns for an online conference. ActiveCampaign allowed us to send the right emails to the right users at the right time. Cons There is a learning curve for sure, but that’s manageable. Cons Integration is fine but I guess the system does take a while to get used to, as there is so much it offers. The tutorials offered are great but although I can't put my finger on it, I feel that some of the processes could be more streamlined. That said, I chose it because I love it so don't have anything negative to say about it for now. The API is better than most ESP, the automations are both powerful and easy to setup with the visual editor, and the support is pretty good overall. Cons Deliverability can be a bit finnicky, like most platforms. But when I contacted support about it, they were able to adjust some settings and put me on a better sending server. Another issue is there isn't a proper mobile version of the UI and some features run a little slower than it should (like reports, searching/filtering), but it's still very usable. The learning curve was short and sweet, and the customer service is top notch. This platform makes me look like a multi-person business, but I am able to do it all myself. Cons The only thing I wish they had was more editing options for the email templates. But I am not complaining, because I love everything else about it.
