It was efficient and effective and got the mailers out when needed. Pros Activecampaign is a decent and reliable email campaign software, and will effectively meet the needs of mid-level companies. They are not the easiest or prettiest campaign software on the market, but they get the job done. Training is high level and not very detailed, so it feels like a commercial or advertisement. Pros It's a great software. There are numerous things I like about it. However, the best part of active campaign is their automation screens... the automations and solutions are endless. Cons Steep learning curve to integrate. It's not priced or structured for startups and small business, i.e., free, who then can grow into their paid options. ActivCampaign's charges $70/month, which is pretty steep for a startup when cash flow is minimal. Compared to HubSpot who has a free version, Active Campaign is losing ground to this niche. Active Campaign needs a better WordPress plugin to integrate it into websites better. Again. Compared to HubSpot, who is dominating in this area, Active Campaign has not taken advantage of the worlds number one website platform.. May 1, 2019 5.0 Pros I am currently only using Active Campaign for automation purposes for email marketing. This has been an absolute game changer. I plan to upgrade and use the full version once I am ready to do so to have an all-encompassing platform for automation, CRM, and sales. Cons I wish the price point to jump into using everything was a little more budget friendly but I also understand you get what you pay for. It was not an easy change but I'm happy I did. I still have a MailChimp account that I use for other purposes. Pros The automation of campaigns definitely! They are very easy to create because the logic is not linear but created like a mindmap. The tags are also a very practical way to understand my database behaviour. Customer support is outstanding. Cons It's not so simple at the beginning but once you get the logic of it, it's easier every time. Some features can be confusing and overwhelming, but there's always Customer support. I am an affiliate. I loved everything in terms of how easy it was to use. It is reliable in terms of email deliverability, I know a few people who use it, I'm on their email list, and I receive the emails proper. So that's all good. I'm already heavily integrated with another service, and making the switch will be a bit too time-consuming at the moment. But if I was a blank slate, I would have gone with Active Campaign had I done the research properly when I originally signed up. Pros I like the personal touch from the support/sales team when I signed up for a free trial. They scheduled a call with me, and it was a legit good on-boarding call. Sure they tried to sell me, but it was genuine call to understand my needs, my situation, and help. Impressed. Cons The only thing for me is the price when it comes to really scaling to large numbers of subscribers. After finally spending time with them, yeah, they're cool, and I believe packaged platforms will increase as time goes on, but for now nothing compares to using ActiveCampaign for automation and a solid custom stack. And I'd call ActiveCampaign the core. Cons The forms aren't great compared to Gravity, but duh. The email builder is pretty weak - who cares? The CRM is alright, but I'd link it to another. We love all of the different reports you can generate as well as a great click map.. Cons Active Campaign just has a one-off email at a specified time that is blasted to all contacts. If your list is very large, you may have issues with spam filters due to the large amount sent at the same time. It would be more beneficial to be able to send out e-mail blasts in batches.
