To be perfectly honest, there are a LOT of features I don't use and I'm sure I'm missing out on a lot of opportunity by not using it to it's potential. I also like the customer service. It is responsive and very helpful. Lower end mail services leave you in the lurch with no way to get support. So that's why I switched over. Cons I wish there were a lower tier. October 6, 2020 4.0 I use ActiveCampaign in my own business, as well as for many of my web development clients. It's been easy to work with, and I recommend it to clients who have not yet chosen a CRM, and don't need something as full-featured and expensive as ONTRAPORT or Infusionsoft. Pros The drag and drop automation builder is easy to use, and full-featured. I like that it allows date-based triggers. Cons I wish I could share emails between automations. I value a lot the simplicity and minimalism. Pros The emails automation campaigns that you can create. They are easy to create and edit, and works perfectly. Also, they give you a lot of data and open-rates, etc. So you can improve your message, reach more people, bring more value and sale more! It does what it is supposed to do and I haven't had any problems. Pros ActiveCampaign is very easy to use but not overly simplistic. You can create customized emails that look good without knowing too much about design or html. However, if you do have that knowledge, there are a lot of additional options available to you to further customize things and make them really great. Cons I can't think of anything that I've really missed from this program. I do sometimes have trouble with creating segmented lists, but it's not a common thing for me to do and it always eventually works out. More organized compared to alternatives Cons Horrible support. Because I'm on the quarterly plan, I'm unable to upgrade the plan myself, when I hit my contact limit. While using this software, I've tried to send in emails to get upgraded on multiple occasions, but I always get no reply from support. You can set a list of contacts and create tags for several topics. It took me a bit to learn how to work with it but their knowledge base resources cover everything and once you get familiar with the system, it's easy. I've contacted their support many times when I needed help or advice and they were awesome every time. However once I started accessing the Education site for AC I found solutions to most issues. Pros Automation- the large variety of options Cons Integration - experienced many difficulties trying to integrate the software with Thinkific, Typeform etc. However we did eventually found solutions, but we had to search hard to find the answers, they were not obvious. Reason for choosing ActiveCampaign Promise of wrap around support in the early days, unfortunately this was over subscribed to and arranging a suitable opportune time to resolve the issue at a time that suited both parties was difficult. Pros The fact that it has so many features and integrations, you can probably find anything you're looking for. We have used other automation tools and out of all the other ones, Active campaign has been the most useful. Cons I would't personally recommend for beginners, there is just so many things you can do that it can get overwhelming if you're just starting out.
