I'm a visual learner and have to do things hands on, so not being tech savvy, it's a bit of a challenge (for me anyway). I need to be able to reach someone immediately & have them look at my screen and work with me directly when I call because I'm in the middle of a project and can't put it off for their schedule. Pros Customer service is easy to reach by phone up until 1:30 Central Time and they are very helpful. I like the categorizing of the "lists",then "tags". Cons Phone customer service cuts off at about 1:30 my time and I don't do "chat", I like to reach someone immediately while working on my project. It doesn't have a mailing/labels program, so I still have to use Excel Spreadsheets for my mailings and have to keep records in 2 different spots! (ugh). Reason for choosing ActiveCampaign My web/social media advisor recommended it, set it up for me and told me all of the benefits. Review Source HL Hank L. Pres Construction Used the software for: 2+ years ### "Hard company to work with" December 8, 2017 1.0 The tech support is the worst, i try calling for 3 month no one pick up the phone it sims to me like they see the caller ID on the phone and they don't pick up the phone, had problems sending out email and setting up the picture, I sent them a nasty email and they told me we cant give you any support because you only pay some amount a month i was not told that, i only had 50 contacts and only sent out a email 3 to 4 time a year, well we went with Constant Contact they did me a favor what a difference the nicest people you can deal with. there program is a lat friendly to work with and someone picks up the phone within a few. I highly recommend Constant Contact. Cons The tech support is the worst and there platform not friendly to work with. not a good company we don't like the tech support. Review Source CG Carina G. I'm happy I gave in! I had a client select it, who then blamed me for the issues with the API. It's frankly defective software. Pros Powerful set of tools to automate communications with customers and prospects (once you successfully get them in the system). Cons There are endemic issues with the API that prevent users from being added correctly if you have had them in lists previously. I'm not talking about spam prevention or security features--I mean that the API doesn't' allow users that want to be added to lists to be successfully added. Review Source VJ Vanessa J. It's easy and simple to navigate and does what I want it to. It links with other software well such as my website and Facebook so I don't have to think too hard about joining the dots! I would recommend it. I wasn't with the company much longer so unfortunately, I wasn't able to use it past the initial setup. Pros Very feature-rich. Everything integrates well. On-boarding was great and lots of training and help setting up the platform and moving data over. Impressive as it wasn't insanely expensive. A great option to consider if you're looking for the next step. Cons The more features the more of a learning curve. It's the downside of needing something more complex but not the fault of ActiveCampaign. Like I said, their onboarding was great. Review Source KM Kim M. The analytics it provides are quite useful. Pros I like that this is a relatively inexpensive way to get started on my email list, without the need to move on to a different email marketing system as I grow, unlike some of the other free/inexpensive options out there. Cons I found that it's not very intuitive. I was able to figure out everything I needed to do, but it wasn't super easy to figure out. Love the kanban style deal tracking. It is also relatively easy to create nurture campaigns. Cons The CRM and it's Chrome extension seems to drop a lot of communications. Moreover it all tracks communication with one person in the deal when many are involved in the purchase decision. Need better tracking. I liked the big variety of automation events and the newly developed very simple sales CRM module which is appropriate for small business. I still like the interface style of Mailchimp more, but with Active Campaign for the same money I get more features and functionalities, and in the top pricing plan, there are even more features I am not familiar with today... Which I like most is the top customer service I get from Active Campaign via Skype, phone, live chat or email. Somehow they really make me feel supported by them.
