Owner E-Learning Used the software for: Less than 6 months ### "Great in comparision, but..." March 4, 2021 4.0 Pros Active Campaign is easy to setup and use. Very intuitive. The customer service is fast, amazing, courteous -- overall it can't be beat. I love all the educational opportunities the company provides to help you get acclimated to learn their product and services but also marketing in general. I've learned a lot from reading their blog and attending free webinars that they host. It also integrates with all of the other apps I use with no problems at all. Cons Their sales pages and shopping cart experiences are not the best compared to some others I've used. The sales page I created was not very professional looking at all. The templates are limited and the overall aesthetic is not very detailed. The price is a bit high for the small list that I have. There are cheaper alternatives, but they may not have all the tracking features. I set up my emails with their software in the beginning and with the drag and drop features and intuitive design the process was much easier than I expected. Now that I have everything set up and Zapier connected, I just check my stats weekly and send an update email each Sunday to my list. I have all of my templates and photos saved so it is a breeze. It is nice to have an easy checklist item each week. Cons There really are no cons. I guess they could integrate the ability to run an SMS campaign alongside the emails but that is not what the platform was designed to do. I don't have any plans of switching. Pros I like the automation features and ability to set campaigns knowing that things are going smoothly. I also like the analytics I can view for each email and details it provides so I can track the things I need. Cons Some things are a little wonky to figure out as in they aren't what I assume they would mean. I had to contact support to help me when I was trying to set certain things up but they were very responsive and helpful which more than made up for it. Cons Updating dates/field info can be cumbersome at times, especially if you forget to click on "save changes". Trotz mehrmaliger Nachfrage beim Support seit Monaten keine Lösung. Eine Verzögerung der Automatisierung ist zwar mithilfe von Zapier möglich, aber ändert nichts am Problem. Cons Features like the "open tasks" placement is not intuitive. The "notes" section can also be updated a little bit in order to make it easier to read. The icons for the "Recent Activities" section should also be updated so that the user can quickly scan the activity more efficiently. For example, if an email campaign was opened, why not use an open envelope symbol instead of the same envelope symbol used for every email action? I would recomend this platform to a friend. Cons Since I am not an expert, and since there is so many options, sometimes it takes time for me to find out how use some less usual features, but it must be a matter of practis I guess. Their automation funnels are best in class and allow highly sophisticated customer email sequences depending on essentially any variables you want. Cons The UX is pretty outdated and the email formatting tools can be clunky and hard to use. Certain options can be extremely buried, like how to format confirmation emails. And certain obvious features appear to be missing entirely, like making it easy for someone to subscribe to a newsletter when it has been forwarded to them. If AC implemented some of the much more modern features of SubStack into their email tools, they would be unstoppable.
