Pros

I like that you are able to generate documents on amicus. I also love that customer service is quite helpful when I have a problem.

Cons

I don't like it when others are logged into a certain client's file I can't logged at the same time to make corrections or add additional information.

Not much that I can tell. More of a liability right now.

Cons

Using this review to vent at how awful of an experience we are having. Software is unreliable. No support. Lost access to billing, calendars, trust account for multiple days. Second time this issue has happened. Stay AWAY!

Pros

I love now love the amicus anywhere product so I can bill and make notes from anywhere. I also like the work flow and document customization.

Cons

I wish Amicus anywhere had more billing functionalities AND the app had more features such as viewing notes and bills.

In 2009 , we moved from Time-Matters after using it for several years because Lexis-Nexis could not get its act together. The product crashed almost daily and support required leaving a voice mail and hoping someone would call back. We moved to Amicus Attorney Premium with the help of a vendor-approved consultant. We soon learned that Amicus Attorney did not fully understand how to network their product or implement terminal services. The consultant was of little help and was terminated. After much effort, we finally got things working and the product was vastly superior to Time-Matters. As the product has been improved over the years with better integrated billing software and SQL, the issues have almost disappeared. We now run it on its own virtual server eliminating issues caused by the interaction with other software. Each year the product is enhanced significantly. For example, it recently added direct connection to Exchange Server so user emails do not have to be integrated with client files at the work station level. It handles all our documents, client files, billing, timekeeping, calendaring etc. so that our attorneys have all documents available anywhere Internet is available. I highly recommend it.

I like that it is easy to use and to the point. Whatever you are looking for is in the toolbar and it makes it simple and easy to figure out.

Cons

What I like least about this software is that sometimes it runs very slow.

The time entering and posting is very user friendly and syncs well with our billing system - TimeSlips.

Cons

When I look at other people's time I have to get out and go into other people's offices. Too time consuming.

Excellent for billing clients.

Pros

Excellent at reminding me to bill a client for work done using the software. That is the best part of amicus.

Cons

Pretty poor customer support. Not very flexible in terms of accommodating payment options. They are pretty unfriendly as well.

Pros

My clients that use this software appreciate that it syncs with other software they're using.

Cons

I run into multiple issues with the calendar sync. I can't seem to resolve phantom appointments and duplicate reminders. Also, if someone cancels an event, especially if it's part of a recurrence in Outlook, it doesn't seem to update in Amicus.

Pros

For the most part, the transition from Amicus Attorney SFE to Amicus Attorney Premium has gone well.

Cons

When we hit the button on the upper left to close out a window, it closes the whole program completely which makes no sense to us at all. Secondly, there is no turn-off of the automatic numbering for clients as there is for files which is frustrating. This means we have to go in and out to disable

Easy enough to train users to interact with interface. Easy to install, and implement across the organization. Users enjoy the interface.

Cons

Although the users enjoy the interface it is somewhat complicated. Finding certain features usually ends up being a call to support.

The graphics give the appearance that this product performs well. It does not. The calendar systems integrates with Outlook but the alarms go off every 5 minutes regardless of whether you changed the settings, tell it to snooze for 24 hours or that you will attend. The Amicus Accounting program is so bad that it is no longer available for purchase. That is an example of this company's lack of integrity. Shortly after purchasing the accounting software it was discontinued. We ended up purchasing their integration with QuickBooks in order to get our billing out. Their "integration" is difficult to maneuver. The Administrator program is inadequate. Giving this product 1 star is far more than it deserves.

None. We switched systems after 2 months.

Pros

The case management and cloud aspect was a nice feature. I liked that it was on the cloud and that the files could be uploaded.

Cons

The billing feature was horrible. The calendar was impossible to sync with our system. While the files were supposed to be automatically be input into our dropbox, we were still having to manually do a lot of work. Functionality was extremely limited.

We used this in our office for over a year. It was very good but unfortunately since it was not cloud based when it was down there was almost nothing we could do. It was easy to use and had a very neat presentation.
