It has an intuitive interface that is quick and easy to learn. It's easy to customize workspace can be tailored to fit almost any need and it has great syntax assistance. Cons It is a "beast" of a program in that it is bulky and resource hungry. It's heavy use of machine resources can cause system lag. It is also a beast to install, taking well over an hour. Cons Visual Studio is a very good IDE, however is can be a bit clunky and can occasionally crash when opening. It specifically helps engineers complete tasks much easier and quicker. Pros Microsoft Visual Studios is a great tool used in the Engineer industry to help with code writing as well as storage. There are a lot of great features of the software but one in particular is Intellisense. Visual Studios offers intellisense, which helps to auto complete code. This cuts down on the time it can take engineers to complete a project. Cons Visual Studios come with a high cost. However, Microsoft helps those who cannot afford the Enterprise version by offering a free version, Community. The Community version comes with a lot of the same features without the hefty cost.
