Quante volte mi ha salvato il sedere da errori stupidi... tipo, stavo scrivendo una funzione e lui mi ha suggerito il metodo giusto prima ancora che finissi di digitare. Roba da non crederci! E poi, il debugger integrato... mamma mia! La prima volta che ho messo un breakpoint e ho visto cosa succedeva davvero nelle mie variabili, è stato un momento "eureka"! Finalmente ho capito perché il mio codice si comportava in modo così strano. Ho passato notti intere a programmare, senza accorgermi del tempo che passava, perché tutto era così fluido e intuitivo. Cons Però, diciamocelo, non è tutto rose e fiori. Ci sono giorni in cui vorrei lanciare il computer dalla finestra! L'avvio è una tortura... ho il tempo di farmi un caffè, rispondere a qualche email e fare una passeggiata prima che si apra! I personally use and prefer the "Community" edition as that doesn't require any licenses or upgrades, and gives users and casual developers most of what they need to utilize all the features of the product. Cons Some items are a bit complicated and not as easy to figure out if you haven't used anything like it before. LIke connecting to GitHub for a source code repository -- forking, branching, and merging development pipelines isn't the easiest and if you don't know what you're doing, you could wipe out important code changes you made. I also like that it handles big projects without falling over, and the Git integration is actually decent. Overall, it just does what I need without getting in the way. Cons It can feel a bit heavy at times, especially on startup. Some updates are also a bit disruptive or take longer than you’d expect.
