Pros
Great customizable dashboards for getting an overview on our statuses & easy to integrate with other systems. It's easy to add new monitors with great customization.
Very positive overall experience. The software is comprehensive and a good value for the cost.
It performs very well, and I recommend it. The support team also engages with me periodically on the use of the product, which shows great customer care.
My experience with the company has been great. They saved us money over our previous monitoring service and customer support has been excellent.
Cons
The dashboards provide many options, so it can sometimes be confusing to know where to find exactly what you're looking for.
We now spot downtime BEFORE our customers notice it, and we get insights into the exact problem by means of waterfall charts and screenshots.
It also takes quite some time to set up things properly to avoid alert fatigue.
And they conveniently interpreted "3 months" as "4 more payments. E., I cancelled in mid-June, and I'm charged at the end of June, the end of July, the end of August, and the end of September.

"Good for shop monitoring"
Overall: All in all, this is good software. Helped us improve our online shops - with monitoring response times over time and comparing them between the stores.
Pros: That it simply works and provides reliable data. We use Slack a lot, so slack integration is a big plus. Ease of use - the entry level is not too high, so anyone can configure it at the basic level. Customer service is great also - people are kind and always willing to help.
Cons: Transaction monitoring is a little bit expensive for what it does.Configuration is simple but has its limitations. Yet for our use case, it is fine and working.
"Uptrends "
Overall: With uptrend I can increase the price of my products. The increase has helped in the growth of my business.
Pros: The high swing low and the high swing high makes it easy to predict the products price. The higher the cost, the better for my website. I love it because of its potential reward relative to risk.
Cons: It is very difficult to determine the cause of an uptrend since it consists of High and low swings and can affect a business either positively or negatively
"Unfair business practices - READ THE FINE PRINT"
Pros: Works overall. Does as advertized and easy to use
Cons: We had a yearly contract with Uptrends. I attempted to cancel it several days before the expiry and they told me there is a 3-month notice period and refused to cancel. I have not seen any SaaS company that needs a 3-month notice period, so be aware before signing up. These guys are running a scam with their cancellation policy.
"Powerful and reliable uptime monitoring"
Overall: Uptrends provides us with an important and independent measure of our site health, and we rely on it for instant reports when our website is unresponsive so that we can take action immediately.
Pros: The wide range of monitoring locations, and the fallback to a different location on failure - this means we don't get false positives.
Cons: We haven't had any issues, it has been reliable and provides a rich set of features.
"Perfect in so many Ways"
Overall: My business sets up local and wide area networks for clients. The most pressing business requirement was to proactively monitor all client networks to keep my finger on the pulse of each network's performance. This way if there is an issue, many times I can call my client to discuss the resolution before they know they have a problem. The Uptrends solution provided the capabilities I needed (and more) to protect my business from having unhappy clients.
Pros: Both extensive Monitoring and real-time Alerts make Uptrends ideal to manage small, medium, and large-scale networks. The product scales up or down to best fit the business and technical needs.
Cons: There were some improvements that would make building Dashboards easier. I brought those to Uptrends and they added them to their queue of future developments. They actively want to make the product better, and they want to serve their Customers. The bottom line is they care and get it.
"Site monitoring for hosted environments"
Overall: overall a very positive experience and I would implement it again. It's been instrumental in monitoring of commercial sites
Pros: easy to setup. reasonable prices. very good support
Cons: The sales people used to be aggressive. Not really in a negative way, but regularly trying to sell more. That's changed since the acquisition.
"Beware of 12 month contract with 90 day termination notice"
Overall: The worst SAS contract I have every seen for a moderately useful product.
Pros: Their monitoring is fine. They were helpful in getting us set up.
Cons: Buyer Beware: when signing up, you are agreeing to a 12 month contract with a 90 day termination notice. If you complain about this, their customer "service" will send you a screen shot of the contract with these terms highlighted. The 12 month term is not mentioned on the website. They aren't offering annual pricing with a discount vs monthly pricing. Nope, you're just signing up for 12 months with a 90 day out.
"Reviewing Uptrends for Monitoring"
Overall: Monitoring SSL certificate status and website availability
Pros: The Web availability of HTTPS endpoints and SSL certificate monitoring
Cons: There is no way to monitor availability of JAVA based applications that do not have a public facing URL
"Very difficult to cancel"
Overall: It was very difficult to cancel. Most SAAS companies allow a user to cancel within 30 days and they can cancel on their own typically with a cancellation button or form within their account. I tried to cancel but they require you to send in a cancellation request which is not typical for a SAAS service. I put in my request and they informed me I was to continue to pay for 90 days upon request to cancel. They continued to bill me for the 90 days after the request which was very unethical. When I asked about most SAAS companies allowing a 30 day notice, and with nothing specifying this on their main webpages, they then presented me with the fine print in their TOS that it's required to continue to pay for 90 days after the cancellation request. I told them I would be happy to pay for the 30 days but not 90 so they threatened to turn my account over to their legal team and used threatening tactics to get the remaining 60 days. After many back and forth threatening emails I finally decided to just pay the unpaid invoices just to get them off my back. This company has very unethical practices and I wish I would have read other user reviews with the same issues. Stay far away from them.
Pros: Alerts are good when they work. You run out of credits quickly.
Cons: Expensive and support lacks. They use threatening tactics when you try to cancel.
"Very easy to use and some great features available"
Overall: Great product that is very easy to implement, setup, add monitors. Hassle free and easy to use.
Pros: We use uptrends to monitor our live API endpoints as well as websites. With the website monitoring you can add various levels of monitoring where it can login and test certain aspects of your website to make sure all is OK. Very Handy. It notifies us immediately if we have any issues which is essential for ourselves and our customers.
Cons: UX is a bit dated but since it works great I don't mind this much.
"Uptrends Continues to Shine"
Overall: We love the product, and trust it across our portfolio. It's clear and intuitive to use for the most part and the support team are first rate if you ever need to engage with them. Really happy we moved to Uptrends
Pros: It's easy to use, and customise and you can get up and running with a basic monitor really quickly. Support are excellent in assisting you get the most out of the product too, and have proved really useful when exploring the more complex monitor and journey tracking that is available
Cons: Don't like the new UI, but honestly, it's just a case of getting used to it. I wouldn't not recommend the product because of this.
"Great tool for monitoring downtime and reporting on uptime"
Overall: The team at Uptrends is great to work with. They helped us onboard at the beginning, helped us make changes to our configurations when necessary, and were very flexible when our Legal department had very specific requirements. Whenever we have questions, they are there.
Pros: The ability to consolidate metrics across all of our websites, along with real-time alerts of issues is terrific. Use of mobile app allows you to be in touch with what's happening any time and anywhere. I also like the way billing for services is done as it affords a great deal of flexibility. We can swap credits from one site to another, or change monitoring increments to make credits available for something else as needed. this ultimately gives us the ability to modify our product mix very easily.
Cons: No real issues. The dashboards provide many options, so it can sometimes be confusing to know where to find exactly what you're looking for. This would probably be solved though by my creating a custom dashboard which is a standard feature of the product.
"Excellent service, indispensible for our business!"
Overall: We now spot downtime BEFORE our customers notice it, and we get insights into the exact problem by means of waterfall charts and screenshots. Finally, it's super easy to generate detailed SLA reports, which we use both internally and provide to customers.
Pros: Uptrends allows me to detect, in real-time, when systems in production break. When that happens, we get perfectly actionable telemetry fed directly into our SOC, so the team can pick it up and start fixing it.
Cons: Nothing. It's really a well-rounded and mature offering they provide.
"Perfect for monitoring your SaaS applications from a user perspective"
Overall: Very positive. We not only use it to monitor the health of our applications but it also helps us when investigating performance issues.
Pros: It is easy to use. Scenarios are easily created and managed. It also covers the possibility to monitor the entire end-to-end solution
Cons: I think the user management part can be improved. Next to that, the timeframes to monitor are not easily defined and implemented. Sometimes you just want to snooze your alerting (not your monitoring).
"Uptime Monitoring"
Pros: Uptrends provides monitoring from several locations across the world for uptime and performance and provides us the full insight on availability and identify any trends that may occur. The Uptrends portal is easy to navigate and to configure including dashboards and reporting.
Cons: It would be great if we could difference between planned outage vs. downtime or if we could include it as part of our automation so the specific base monitor is disabled for alerts during the planned maintenance.
"Great Word wide Monitoring System"
Pros: - Very easy to create Monitoring Checks- A lot of third party integrations- personalization of the dashboard- Escalation levels
Cons: -Difficult or not clear to add Alert/Notification to a Monitoring check
"Amazing and Secure"
Overall: Instant downtime detection, SMS alerts and more. The customer service is amazing when you have a question.
Pros: The product is easy to setup and runs without any hickups. We have had this software running for years and we still love it.
Cons: The user interface looks a little outdated, but that is the only downside we have with Uptrends.
"Nice tool to track your uptime"
Overall: I use it for all of my project, it’s worth the money
Pros: Lot of options and features to track uptimes und downtime’s, lot of great features like order process tracking
Cons: In beginning not easy to set up but they have great support who explains all und help you if needed
"Facilitated and effective monitoring"
Overall: Almost 2 years of use of alerts for the Live services of our customers and in-depth analysis with the RUM service to identify bottlenecks in navigation and portal performance.
Pros: Very easy to use and flexible in configurations
Cons: RUM is perhaps expensive but remain easy to use
"Very nice usiing this software"
Overall: Very nice usiing this software
Pros: Monitring endpoints and availability summary
Cons: nothing much that i did nott like this product
"Best Monitoring Suite Out There"
Overall: Our experience using Uptrends has been excellent. Their deep suite of tools enabled us to pin point performance issues that we'd been unable to identify with other tools.
Pros: From the basic uptime alerts, extensive monitoring capabilities (including uptime, transactional and API), and detailed customizable reporting, to the ease of use and great scalability, there's a lot that we love about these tools. In cases of more complex challenges, the support team is very receptive and proactive in helping us find answers. Also appreciated are the periodic check ins to ensure we're getting the most out of the product.
Cons: No complaints here! Uptrends is a robust, mature tool suite that's helped us resolve issues and constantly improve application performance.
"Great tool for monitoring our sites"
Pros: Generally very easy to use and get up and running straight away. Quite a few different ways of setting up alerts which is nice, not just checking for OK responses, but checking content of response.
Cons: Although easy to set up initial alerts, the UI was quite hard to navigate and find the features. WIKI entries saved the day.
"Uptrends has been proven useful and great value for money"
Overall: It gives us a piece of mind for a very low price. It is able to alert many of us which have been useful.
Pros: Easy to configure and set up. After that it just works without need for maintenance. It does what we expect it to do (give us alerts when websites are down)
Cons: We have over 40 web sites, someones not each to keep overview.Would be great to have an app to manage Uptrends (or if you have, I have not used it)
"Uptrends review"
Overall: We use Uptrends to gather data on our services for troubleshooting, and provide uptime reporting to our customers
Pros: Reporting and being able to browse historical data is by far the most interesting part of Uptrends for us. It provides us with detailed uptime reporting to match Service level agreements. In addition to that it allows us to spot issues by analyzing recurring issues
Cons: User and group management is needlessly complicated and not intuitive for a first time user. It works once you get the hang of it but it could be handled in a much simpler way without hurting its functionality
"A great tool that served its purpose very well"
Overall: Very positive, would definitely use again
Pros: Simple to setup, simple to use, reliable and dependable.
Cons: We saw very occasional false positives, but better to see that than miss problems.
