Pros Uptrends provides all the monitoring tools which we needed. Compared to similar products available elsewhere, the more precise capabilities of Uptrends helped us choose it. Support of custom resolutions and multi-location support is a great bonus. Cons It would be good to have a wider range of mobile device/ browser combinations. Variable iOS or Android versions and device combinations would be a welcome addition. Different resolutions would also be useful. The increase has helped in the growth of my business. Pros The high swing low and the high swing high makes it easy to predict the products price. The higher the cost, the better for my website. I love it because of its potential reward relative to risk. Does as advertized and easy to use Cons We had a yearly contract with Uptrends. I attempted to cancel it several days before the expiry and they told me there is a 3-month notice period and refused to cancel. I have not seen any SaaS company that needs a 3-month notice period, so be aware before signing up. These guys are running a scam with their cancellation policy. The most pressing business requirement was to proactively monitor all client networks to keep my finger on the pulse of each network's performance. This way if there is an issue, many times I can call my client to discuss the resolution before they know they have a problem. The Uptrends solution provided the capabilities I needed (and more) to protect my business from having unhappy clients. Pros Both extensive Monitoring and real-time Alerts make Uptrends ideal to manage small, medium, and large-scale networks. The product scales up or down to best fit the business and technical needs. Cons There were some improvements that would make building Dashboards easier. I brought those to Uptrends and they added them to their queue of future developments. They actively want to make the product better, and they want to serve their Customers. The bottom line is they care and get it. Cons We haven't had any issues, it has been reliable and provides a rich set of features. The feature of monitoring from multiple checkpoints is invaluable to isolating network issues. The auto traceroute, log retention, reporting and integration with other tools is great. Cons We would have liked the ability to import our monitoring targets from CSV or some other automated method. Minor issue. Helped us improve our online shops - with monitoring response times over time and comparing them between the stores. Pros That it simply works and provides reliable data. We use Slack a lot, so slack integration is a big plus. Ease of use - the entry level is not too high, so anyone can configure it at the basic level. Customer service is great also - people are kind and always willing to help. Cons Transaction monitoring is a little bit expensive for what it does.Configuration is simple but has its limitations. Yet for our use case, it is fine and working. The support team at Uptrends is amazing in that they take the time to help non-technical people understand the monitoring, reporting and business and technical implications. Pros The comprehensive nature of monitoring and reporting. The dashboard is simple and clearly highlights any issues that require immediate attention, vs things that could be improved but are not immediate in nature. The waterfall report visually highlights opportunities for improvement. Cons Over the course of two years use of the software, we have not identified any opportunities for improvement. In fact, we have experienced upgrades in the software the improved the usability. It performs very well, and I recommend it. The support team also engages with me periodically on the use of the product, which shows great customer care. Cons None that I can think of at this stage. Pros Setting up the software is really easy. We'd previously come from Pingdom which was really difficult to setup and support was limited. Within this software is an easy to use recorder so you don't really need any technical knowledge to setup. You can then send to the support team who will check it for you and you get real value from them! Cons Overall we're incredibly satisfied with the product and wouldn't really change anything. QA Lead Used the software for: Less than 1 year ### "Excelent tool for performance monitoring" March 9, 2022 5.0 We needed a way to have a permanent measure of the performance of our site and Uptrends solved all our needs Pros Uptrends capabilities to monitor performance are great, it allows you to get detailed information on full page load times, transactions, API and uptime, using multiple sites all over the world and giving you a real user performance experience. The reports are excellent, same as seeing the information you get on lighthouse plus the information you will get on the network tab of your dev tools. You also get a daily report and have 2 sets of alerts for each monitor to define a yellow and red threshold. The monitors are really easy to set up and have them running in no time. Cons The transaction monitors are a bit pricey but given the functionality, they are worth paying. In cases of more complex challenges, the support team is very receptive and proactive in helping us find answers. Also appreciated are the periodic check ins to ensure we're getting the most out of the product. Cons No complaints here! It is very easy to monitor APIs, from simple to complex, even when you have to make multiple API calls in sequence that rely on each other's responses. Pros The multi-step API monitors are super flexible, but still very easy to set up. 👍 Cons We got some false-positive alerts regarding TLS certificates from time to time.
