I simply don't know of any better one out there right now despite its drawbacks but it has a lot of room for growth and simplicity. The interface is old-school and we should be able to go seamlessly from page to page. Even the reporting aspect of it is often confusing as setting data points and logic into it isn't easy for the average loan officer. Pros It does the job! Once you are familiar with it and it's capabilities it's fairly good at giving you everything you need for a proper loan application and AUS findings. The thing I like most is that every company I have worked for has maintained a borrower summary screen which is basically information that translates over to different pages if filled out on this screen. Encompass' ability to transfer data from different tabs is very useful and helps speed up the loan app process. Cons There's a lot that can change. For one, it's incredibly slow a lot of the time. There are always errors presenting themselves and although this can be user error, they should do a better job with making it user friendly across the board. Maybe take a lesson from Apple on how to build software. The system freezes a lot, each company has different versions of it because they are custom made and that can be confusing, there's just too much individual changes that can be made which makes makes the learning curve high. Now that we are back in Encompass- I NEVER WANT TO LEAVE!! Best LOS software EVER! Pros Encompass just makes sense. Everything is where it needs to be, workflows are easy to adapt, and it is a very user friendly interface. Cons Honestly, nothing. It is a bit slow in moments but for the most part it is pretty perfect! Review Source MS Molly S. Mortgage Loan Officer Banking Used the software for: 1-2 years ### "Overall an excellent mortgage platform" September 12, 2019 5.0 Overall, I really like this system, it's definitely one of the best I've used in over 25 years. I constantly have to save things which is kind of pain and I wish I could access old pre-qualifications instead of having to contact the administrator. I like being able to access the e-folder after closing, that is a very helpful function and I use it frequently! Pros Easy to enter information, pricing is up to date, ordering outside services (i.e appraisal, title etc) is included and quick. I like the milestones as well, they help keep me organized. Cons When I am trying to move it to processing it's not always obvious what the "task" to complete is, that could be made more clear. Also, the e-signing / creating account emails should have a help line number instead of saying "call your loan officer." I don't always know what the error is on the borrower side. This has helped in many areas of our business. Pros Encompass is a great software to use. It has many great features. You can interact with people/alumni, take in gifts or register people for events. The reporting feature is amazing with how you can track your success. This is just a brief list of some features it offers. There are many more wonderful qualities as well. Cons We do have issues with the main iModules server being down and then that means our website is down and people cannot log in to register for events or connect in the online forum. Pros The third party integrations to populate Title fees, and compare Mortgage Insurance were the most time saving tools Cons The system either by design or through customization was built with operations focus. It often felt clumsy for origination, seldom was it intuitive or consistent in it's architecture. Pros iModules offered a lot of different features all in one solution. We used it for many things, but mostly: event registrations, online giving, alumni website, career network, and email marketing. I am less familiar with the other applications/functions. Pros I like being able to create templates and the ability to copy campaigns for events/emails that are recurring. It saves a lot of time and effort. Cons There are limitations to being able to sync Anthology with other programs we use, meaning we sometimes have to do a lot of handwork that could otherwise be streamlined. Review Source JT John T. Owner Marketing and Advertising Used the software for: 6-12 months ### "Great Tool...That Finally Looks Good" November 7, 2023 4.0 Anthology Encompass/iModules is a solid tool if you are willing to work around its quirks. Uploading csv files with names and email addresses is honestly just a pain due to how precise and specific everything has to be. For example: no extra spaces or duplicates allowed anywhere in the document. However, if you save a note on how the csv file needs to be formatted, this issue resolves itself fairly quickly. Also, the recent update to the user interface looks much nicer than it looked in the past. This is a major plus in my mind because the old interface looked severely outdated. Is this for you? If you work in academia, advancement, and fundraising, then yes it is the Gold Standard. If you don't work in this space, and work in e-commerce, then I would go with a different product dedicated to that side of email marketing. Cons It uses an outdated RTE for it's development interface. Although we are hearing that they will roll out a new update in August. There are a lot of options and endless ways to customize to make things the way you want them. Cons This software is not user-friendly and is very buggy.
