We're not quite there yet, but for a simple set up, it's worked great for us. Pros Easy to use and start learning management system that I researched and ultimatley used to build a training environment to teach a workflow process in my business. Cons It had a steeper learning curve than some other plug and play learning models, but it was the most cost effective choice for what I wanted to do. As an admin, I am satisfied with this because I can send a broadcast to all my users. Cons I use Moodlecloud. The feature I like the least is the process of creating the performance usage report. I discovered when I first extract that information that there are columns that are not relevant - I want main details such as how many times a user logged in and how long they were logged in and the courses they viewed/attempted, the functions they used the most and all those. It provides all the necessary features for a Computer Science student, but it desperately needs a modern visual update, and also , the files submit system , should be updated. Pros As a computer science student, I really value the learning platform because it serves as an all-in-one hub where I can access all my course materials, submit some of my assigments. It has a organized interface, supporting multiple file formats and activities. Cons The platform feels quite outdated, often requires too many clicks to locate specific documents. The mobile experience is also somewhat limited compared to the desktop version, with inconsistent notifications. Also, when I try to add a file and submit it, a lot of time it takes to many clicks to confirm it , I have already missed some deadlines because I forgot 1 of 5 confirms. All the disciplines, assignments, homeworrks, and teaching materials are published there. You can also look up people there (teachers or students). We also used it a lot when we had online classes (during Covid). Cons The mobile version is not very adapted, and the interface, and the design could have been better. Otherwise, it surves its purposes as a platform for sharing materials. It could have also been a bit more well-structured and more straightforward. Even given the security concerns, it is ran locally on our servers and we did some work to get that secured. We do have a lot of great experience with that software and it helps us develop skills and learn new things every day! Pros It is free, fully customizable software that allows your team to develop a lot of quizzes! It it pretty easy to setup (if you have basic web development knowledge) if you want to do it yourself, but as far as I know you could just buy a tenant on their hosting and use it straight from there! Amount of customizations you can do there is amazing! From basic configuration things, to custom code you can provide there. Me and my team love it, when we educate ourselves about many different things! Cons It is still an open-source software, so I am concerned about security of this solution. With Moodle, I can reach more customers by being able to teach those classes online. It is easy to set up my courses no matter if they are live on-line or static classes. The reporting lets me know who has attended the classes and captures their data so that I can send them updates on new classes they might be interested in. Pros I love the fact that Moodle is free. I teach classes with Moodle and since I am a small business, Moodle allows me to pass that savings onto my customers allowing me to be more competitive with the larger companies. Cons I wish it had more training on the integrated AI function. I think if I understood it better, I would use that function more.
