### "Good for Managing Courses and Assignments"

May 22, 2026

4.0

It is very customizable and works for both small colleges and large universities. It is a platform similar to google classroom or a blackboard where all the teaching activities can be conducted seamlessly.

Pros

It is very useful for teachers and educators to upload assignments, lectures, notes and conduct exams or tests for a group of students. It is very easy to use and has many features for smooth conduction of tests and upload of grades. It is free and open source to use.

Cons

One thing I liked least about Moodle was that the interface can sometimes feel outdated and less intuitive compared to newer learning platforms. There were occasional bugs such as pages loading slowly, quizzes freezing temporarily, or assignment uploads failing on unstable connections. Notifications and navigation could also be improved because important updates are sometimes easy to miss. Customer support largely depends on the institution using Moodle, so resolving technical issues can occasionally take time.

### "A Helpful Platform for Staying Organized at Concordia"

April 19, 2026

5.0

My overall experience with Moodle has been good. It kept all my course materials, assignments, grades, and announcements in one place, which made it easier for me to stay organized throughout the semester. I liked that I could quickly check deadlines and see updates from my professors without having to use multiple platforms. At the same time, the interface sometimes felt a bit outdated, and the layout changed a lot depending on how each professor set up their course, so navigation wasn’t always consistent. But overall, Moodle helped me manage my classes effectively and stay on top of my academic work

Pros

What I liked most about Moodle was how easy it was to access everything I needed for my courses in one place. I could quickly find lecture slides, assignments, readings, and announcements without having to search through multiple platforms. I also liked that I could track my deadlines and see my grades as soon as professors posted them. Overall, it made staying organized and keeping up with my classes much easier.

Cons

What I liked least about Moodle was that the interface sometimes felt outdated and not very intuitive. Certain pages took a few extra clicks to find, and different professors organized their course pages in completely different ways, which made navigation inconsistent. I also found that notifications weren’t always reliable, so I had to double‑check things manually to make sure I didn’t miss updates or deadlines.

### "CS student moodle evaluation"

January 23, 2026

3.0

Moodle is a solid tool that gets the job done for university life. It provides all the necessary features for a Computer Science student, but it desperately needs a modern visual update, and also , the files submit system , should be updated.

Pros

As a computer science student, I really value the learning platform because it serves as an all-in-one hub where I can access all my course materials, submit some of my assigments. It has a organized interface, supporting multiple file formats and activities.

Cons

The platform feels quite outdated, often requires too many clicks to locate specific documents. The mobile experience is also somewhat limited compared to the desktop version, with inconsistent notifications. Also, when I try to add a file and submit it, a lot of time it takes to many clicks to confirm it , I have already missed some deadlines because I forgot 1 of 5 confirms.

### "Moodle Experience"

April 9, 2026

4.0

Knowledgable. I learned a lot as a student user once back when I was in college and now as an Administrator.

Pros

The chat/messaging feature. As an admin, I am satisfied with this because I can send a broadcast to all my users.

Cons

I use Moodlecloud. The feature I like the least is the process of creating the performance usage report. I discovered when I first extract that information that there are columns that are not relevant - I want main details such as how many times a user logged in and how long they were logged in and the courses they viewed/attempted, the functions they used the most and all those.

Reason for choosing Moodle

Because Moodle can be used in low-resource areas of Papua New Guinea.

### "Moodle review"

May 4, 2026

4.0

Its been good overall, the app is simple and the colour/organization is very user friendly. I like the calendar feature where you can see all the deadlines all at once.

Pros

I liked the simple system. Its very customisable for the professors/ tutors, and the assignment submission and viewing grade is simple too.

Cons

The assignment deadlines notifications are so delayed, most of the time the notification doesnt even come through the app bit through emails. And the Emails arrive after the deadline passes which causes a big issue of missing the deadline.

### "Moodle LMS review - TW"

I have been using Moodle for 15 years on various platforms. It always works without any issues. Moodle is well supported and system updates are frequent.

Pros

Free open source. Can host it on your own server at minimal cost. Moodle documents is a great source for assistance. Does everything and more that I need from an LMS.

Cons

I find it hard to ID any issues I have with this software. The only thing I like least is the complexity of the System Admin user interface.

### "Moodle Bridges the Gap Between Student and Teacher Communication"

May 10, 2026

4.0

Overall, Moodle allowed me to easily check my grades, turn in assignments, and receive communication from professors in a timely fashion eve if I missed class. The interface was a little outdated but it had all the features you needed and rarely had any bugs.

Pros

Moodle was a great tool when it came to not only checking grades, but stuent-teacher interaction as well. Professors were able to communicate deadlines and whatnot to students, even if they were absent. When I used Moodle, it was always very easy to use, and never had many bugs or issues.

Cons

What I liked least about Moodle was the interface. It was very outdates, but it did everything that it needed to do. The features all worked but it was just an outdated system visually.

### "Moodle my structured digital classroom"

May 26, 2026

5.0

Rigorous organization of my learning. I know exactly what I need to do and when, and I have access to all the necessary resources without having to dig through my emails.

Pros

As a user in a learning context, I appreciate Moodle's modular structure. Everything is centralized: course materials, assignment submissions, and discussion forums. I particularly like being able to track my progress in a module thanks to the completion bars; it motivates me to keep going.

Cons

I must admit that the user interface often feels like it's from another era. It is very functional but cruelly lacks modernity and intuitiveness. On mobile, navigation can turn into a real labyrinth if the course isn't perfectly configured by the instructor.

Pros

Excellent! I have used Moodle successfully both before and during COVID-19. It has helped me teach well.

Pros

I find Moodle to be the perfect LMS to use for both Blended Teaching and Learning and Fully Online Teaching and Learning. I have been using Moodle for both since 2013. I could NOT go back to teaching (and training colleagues) without it.

Cons

Moodle can be overwhelming because it is full of possibilities.

### "Needs integration but works fine"

April 24, 2025

4.0

Moodle is okay but nothing special. If it were more integrated or had university-specific offerings, it would be better. Like I’ve never seen a platform just for engineering schools.

Pros

Moodle is a decent classroom management system. It never malfunctions and is user friendly for students.

Cons

Moodle does what it was designed to do but it doesn’t integrate easily with other platforms like Google or Microsoft, or even the school’s own resources like the library.

### "The best open-source learning tool"

November 27, 2024

5.0

I work with a projet, my job was to deploy open-courses tool to improve learning experience using Moodle and kolibri. So, I deploy it in Cameroon, it was good, simple to handle for administrator, but not easy at all for student and instructor.

Pros

Moodle is open-source software that can be installed locally for offline use in areas where the internet is unavailable. Moodle can be installed or deploy with offline context, i like it

Cons

The user interface is the most complex. In rural area communities where learning is inaccessible, the Moodle user experience is really complex when it comes to courses and exercises.

Cons

It has a steep learning curve, outdated interface and in my opinion, required a great deal of support from my IT department.

### "User-Friendly Interface with Room for Improvement"

October 27, 2024

4.0

My overall experience with Moodle has been positive. The ease of use, particularly on the mobile app, makes it a great tool for students. However, the scrolling issue does affect the usability a bit. Overall, I would recommend Moodle to others, as it enhances the learning experience significantly.

Pros

I really like Moodle’s website and mobile app. The interface is very user-friendly, making it easy to navigate through courses and resources. The mobile app is especially convenient for accessing coursework on the go, which I’ve found very helpful for my studies.

Cons

One downside I’ve experienced is that when I scroll down in a course and open a section, returning to the main page always takes me back to the top instead of where I was. This can be frustrating when trying to find specific content quickly.

Pros
