I have found the software to be very useful as a one stop location to get all class notes and presentations. Pros Very easy to use and intuitive. Easy to create lockers for homework and assignment submissions. Allows easy collaboration by posting questions and allowing the whole class to answer. Easy to arrange class notes and presentations. Students, trainings, private documents. The cost is what attracted us the most as well as ease of use. Cons Since Moodle is open source we have to make sure our ERP and all of it's changes work appropriately with Moodle. Pros The software allows students and teachers to have a comprehensive layout of a course they are part of, which focuses on the grades, assignments, and attendance. Some of the clients that I work with are able to navigate without a lot of difficulty. Those with more learning disabilities have a harder time. Pros I like that students are able to access all of there class scheduled, assignments, grades from one place. Cons Although this is a good software, it is not easy to navigate if you have learning disability. There are a lot of tabs to recall. It gave proper assignments in certain categories and it was very clear. I also liked the quizzes. They could be timed or untimed and everything was easy to use. Cons I did not like how user friendly the software is. Perhaps a tutorial would help learning to navigate the courses. But once you get it, then it's fine. It wasn't the easiest tech to use but once you figured out how to use it. It was definitely worth it. Pros I liked the fact that I could share and post my work on the Software and be graded and connect with other classmates through Moodle. I haven't used it outside of school but when in school it was always one of the main sources of software we used to communicate with teachers and post our work. It was always very user friendly. Cons Sometimes I would run into some technical difficulty. I would have to have other students help me learn the best way to use Moodle. After being taught I realized it was a very effective software to use especially for a educators stand point. Pros Moodle is a great open-source software. We have used it to create an online learning environment for staff. I love the online resources for help, and that it will make additional suggestions on a topic depending on what I searched for. A variety of assignment types, options to make things required or not, etc. Cons Some parts are more tasky than they need to be. Namely, if you need to mark something so people can enroll themselves, it is a multiple-step process and is easily missed. I also hate that it is "enrol" rather than enroll, even though that is technically correct. Review Source RG Richard G. Pros Moodle was used at two of my previous universities to access homework and view grades. It always functioned as it was meant to and none of the students seemed to have problems using it. Pros This makes it easy for staff to take a training and get certified that they are in compliance with anything that may come up. Cons Not always, but at times, finding the correct course to get into can be confusing if it is the same course from a previous year but a small change has been made to a new course. This item is a reasonable answer for a Learning Management System. It offers fundamental elements and is solid. Cons It requires setting up a committed climate to run it. Linux abilities are an unquestionable requirement for setting it up. You should guarantee you do refreshes week after week to keep it secure and running. It will allow for an educator to run an online LMS effectively, but a lot of research and learning is needed for it to be effective. Many newer platforms have become more user friendly in my opinion. If a admin wants to tinker with and control their digital delivery, moodle may or may not be an option depending on how much work you are willing to spend. Pros Moodle offers complete open source material that you have your own rights to. Allows users familiar with other LMS's to learn the platform easy. Gives a mobile platform for students without a pc. Cons Features can feel outdated and overcomplicated at times.
