### "Very Good Beginner Nonprofit Fundraising Software"

Pros

I have stuck with Qgiv for years because of its ease of use and easy to navigate UI. I can get in and out, make quick changes and never am hit with anything unexpected or updates that scramble by ability to navigate to where I need to go. Qgiv has very good customer service. You will speak to real people. They do a good job of not being annoying when they trying to upsell but do it in a helpful way. For example, they will educate you on text-to-give offerings and look for ways it can help add value but without pushing it on you. One cool thing I'll add and recommend that Qgiv added in the last few years has been the ability of donors to cover transaction fees which has been a nice little boost to our average gift.

Cons

This isn't the best software for a seasoned pro. Don't go in looking to organize donor and transaction data in lots of different ways. The dashboard reporting won't give you much more than how much you raised in the current month, but if that's all you need, Qgiv is a good choice.

### "Qgiv is an extension of our team!"

I really enjoy working with Qgiv. The ability to use certain features but not others is really helpful for a small non-profit that has to watch costs closely. I work with a small team, so it's helpful to have the Qgiv team behind me to support our fundraisers with their expertise.

Pros

Qgiv has a lot of great features and tools, but the customer service Qgiv provides is like no other. The team is incredibly helpful - making sure we understand how to best use the software, sharing updates, meeting when I have questions, and providing other tools along the way. I truly feel like Qgiv wants our fundraisers to succeed.

Cons

Qgiv isn't naturally a "fits like a glove" software for our organization - some of our fundraisers have a very niche format that doesn't necessarily fit how Qgiv events are set up. But with some creativity and help from the Qgiv team, it isn't a large problem. Qgiv is still the best option.

### "Qgiv put our annual fundraiser at risk"

We hold an annual fundraising event that includes both a silent and live auction. The event has close to 400 registrants and and 350 attendees, bringing in $125,000, of which only 3% are ticket sales (which is only available in advance of the event). The glitches mentioned above, as well as more not described, resulted in long lines, lost bids, upset attendees, and frustrated staff. And, because they do not have any support available outside of business hours Monday through Friday, we had no way of helping people or resolving the issues.

Pros

The price was good for our budget in the past.

Cons

No customer support during the event. Being required to purchase their credit card readers at $100 each and then they were not reliable. Staff being kicked out of the program during check-in/check-out. The app did not function well.

### "Complex data tracking"

We've really appreciated the details we can pull from QGiv, and feel like it has given us a better handle on our fundraising efforts.

Pros

We capture a lot of unusual data at some of our events, and QGiv lets us build custom fields to track those answers.

Cons

Sometimes it can be hard to figure out what type of fundraiser you need to set up and where to start from. Once you get started, it's easy, though.

Cons

Pros

It's simple to use, and has quick and helpful customer support. It's easy to configure settings on forms, and the peer-to-peer and auctions features have been useful to add-on. Their team is also very open to feedback and frequently adds widgets and edits to the system in response to feedback.

Cons

While most of Qgiv is intuitive to use, they do frequently make updates to the system, which sometimes moves around features and buttons. Small thing, but kind of drives me crazy.

Pros

Qgiv is a payment processor platform that also has donation page generation capabilities.

Cons

When you generate donation reports, there are times when refunded or declined transactions show up on the reports and you have to reconcile in the system.

My overall experience with Qgiv has been great. I like the platform. It is overall easy to use and great for customization. The staff with Bloomerang have been wonderful in helping with any questions I may have along the way.

Pros

The pros of using Qgiv are: the ease of creating forms to use for various uses for our organization the fact that we can offer multiple payment methods to our donors

Cons

The only con of Qgiv is that I would like the tutorials on executing functions to be more detailed and easier to access. For example, I am still learning about building forms, but so many details are missing from the support pages' instructions.

### "Never Wish to Switch"

Amazing! I'm very happy and feel like Qgiv hears my needs and is working to serve me, improving their product over time.

Pros

Qgiv's standard forms and peer-to-peer platform are easy to assemble and present a clean appearance. Their customer service is top-notch, precise and patient. Every time. I appreciate when I add an administrator, I can always show them the basics and feel good about referring them to Qgiv for any questions, knowing my people will have a good experience with customer service.

Cons

Event Registration is still clunky. I am glad to see this addition and about to start using it for the first time, but it's not quite as clear as i'd like it to be. We need a way to register groups of varying numbers.

### "Great donation platform and text to give for the money. "

I'd recommend.

Pros

Qgive is very inexpensive given it's functionalities. The donation form skins that you can create are very customization and can simply be pasted in your website to have the same look and feel as your site. Also, they offer text to give in a more basic concept. You can have donors send a text message to donate, then they are prompted to go to a link to enter in their donation. It is a nice product for the lower budget organizations who still want the functionality but not the expense.

Cons

If you are using this product for your online giving platform, I really don't see any cons. The rates are fair and the customization is high.

Pros

Qgiv is user-friendly fundraising platform with great customer support. When I began using Qgiv, I found the platform easy to navigate. Its structure and layout is logical, allowing me to easily access and execute the functions I wanted to utilize. When I have a question, Qgiv's support team makes itself readily available. Knowledgeable and patient, they are always happy to help. They always respond in a timely manner.

Cons

Setting-up a service integration with DonorPerfect is challenging. Since Qgiv does nto have a support team member who is an expert in DonorPerfect, there are some gaps in knowledge (between Qgiv and DonorPerfect) which make setting-up a service integration with DonorPerfect difficult.

While I am fairly new to using QGiv, I have found that it meets my needs. And when it doesn't, the customer support team is very helpful.

Pros

I use QGiv primarily for event management, namely event registration. I like how customizable registration is. I like that I can embed my event info on a website. I also REALLY like my customer support experience. The contacts are helpful but not intrusive or condescending.

Cons

I do not like that there is not a way to designate that a ticket is FREE. Currently we must mark it as $0.00, which messes up our tax information in our CRM.

The most impressive part of Qgiv is their customer service and training. They are responsive, knowledgeable, friendly, and willing to help. They truly want to help nonprofits succeed in their fundraising efforts. They are willing to go the extra mile to be sure that nonprofits are getting the most from their Qgiv services while keeping pricing accessible for all sizes of nonprofits.

Pros

Easy to setup and use. Built with nonprofit fundraising in mind. Affordable solutions for even small nonprofits. Simple and straightforward for donors. Gift Assist option is a huge plus.

Cons

So far, I have found nothing to dislike or be concerned about.

Pros

Grade A customer service. It's been years since I've seen customer service like Q-giv offers. They are available for chat, email, phone, etc... A real person actually answers. We could not be happier with our decision to use Q-Giv.

Cons

This is hard to answer because we really enjoy the features offered. Perhaps more options for adding graphics to donation page.

The online platform is great, we use it in our website and it's so friendly, our donors get an automatic receipt which saves a lot of work. for our finance team. Love that we can sync with other programs!

We've been able to make several different donation pages based on different campaigns, including doing our events registration page on qgiv this year. This is far more efficient for us as a small nonprofit. Also, since it integrates directly with our donor database, we don't have to duplicate entries, which saves considerable time.

Pros

I love that you can design your own donation pages and they look professional, current, and easy-to use. And that it can integrate with our donor software, Bloomerang.

Cons

It was (and is) a bit of a learning curve when designing a new donation page and has taken some practice. I am still now aware of everything it can do.

We use the free version and have also used the P2P and auction Auction modules. We have been very pleased with all of them. The forms are fairly intuitive on how to create, and if we have a question or problem, the resources to find a solution are excellent.

Pros

Ease of use for us internally and also for our donors. It's a win win! Excellent customer service.

Cons

Where the Save button is located in some areas in Form Builder - I've forgotten several times.

### "Great customer support"

Qgiv's user interface has been improved within the last year and provides users with an easy to navigate and visually appealing way to donate to their favorite nonprofits.

Pros

When selecting an online giving platform to use, I compared several features. Ultimately, I was looking for a product that would not incur a monthly subscription fee and Qgiv was one of few that had that option. Although that decreases the functionality compared to their paid plans, I have found that the free plan has all I need and more. Plus, their customer service team is still accessible to help those on the free plan. On several occasions I have reached out to make sure I was setting up something correctly and they walked me through it step-by-step. They also have an extensive library of Help guides. Overall, I have found that the personalized help and large number of features in the free plan outweighs the higher processing fees on the transactions themselves.

Cons

While we would be interested in trying the peer-to-peer functionality, we have been prevented from doing so due to cost. That feature may be similar in price to other giving software, as I haven't researched that. But, for our small organization, that is one item that we've simply not been able to justify paying for. (I will say, however, that for other features--like text to give--that may be needed for a short time frame, such as a day of giving, you can opt in and out on a monthly basis, making it very easy to increase and decrease your features without committing for a full year.)
