Pros: Training staff very is easy, it takes about 3 hours on average. This system improves work flow and productivity.

Cons: How often we have to change our passwords - currently we have to change approximately every 90 days or so. I would prefer about once every year unless there was a problem.

Sevocity has by far been the best EHR we have used.

Pros: Mostly we like the templates, how we can make our own templates that best fits our office and that support is always there to help. Team members are great and always helpful. Also the its easy to train new staff.

Cons: Sevocity has grown since we first started with Sevocity so recently there has been some changes and we understand that they have more clients but a little more one on one and quicker customer support would be great just like the good old days.

Overall: OUTSTANDING TEMPLATES, EASY TO TRAIN EMPLOYEES, AND GREAT REPORTING TOOLS AS WELL AS CUSTOMIZATION.

I HAVE USED MANY EMR'S IN THE PAST AND SIMPLY LOVE USING THIS SYSTEM

Pros: Ease of use. Keeping OCD 10 codes current. Relative low cost of ownership and maintenance. Quick response of support team.

Cons: The inability to incorporate laboratory results in the body of the encounter note. The inadequacy of the fax /ehr integration.

Overall: Much improved delivery of health care to our population.

Comments: The salesperson made his pitch he STATED that I would have a 60-day trial. No mention of 100 encounters must be made within the 60 day period which included training time. It was imperative to sign up before the end of the year to avoid start-up costs. If I was not satisfied with the product all of my money would be returned. He also assured me that the program would be customized to fit the needs of my practice. NEITHER of these is true. It was a complete misrepresentation of the facts. This is not a program for Doctors starting a practice. The program was NOT customizable, and there was NO SUCH THING as a money back guarantee.

Dr. Davis, I am very sorry if there was any confusion about our Two Month Guarantee. We do many things to ensure customers understand the requirements. The requirement for finalizing encounters is covered in our standard demo introduction, on our pricing webpage (http://www.sevocity.com/custom-ehr-solutions/pricing/), the pricing sheet you were emailed, and also included in the customer agreement: "The two (2) month period begins on the Go Live Date specified on the Activate SEVOCITY® Enrollment & Signature Form. In order to qualify for this Section 4.5, Licensee must submit payment for Start-up Fees and the first month of Monthly Fees pursuant to the Agreement and pay for the second month of Monthly Service Fees when invoiced. Licensee must also finalize a minimum of one hundred (100) encounters for each Provider contracted for during the two (2) month period.¿ We require the usage because we want to ensure the provider gives the system a chance before deciding to cancel. However, if they do the required encounters and decide to cancel we certainly honor the agreement and refund all amounts they have paid to us. Otherwise, we are going to considerable expense to implement and would be providing refunds for customers who didn¿t complete the implementation or try to use the system. We are more than happy to work with you and extend the 60 day period in order to give you time to be fully trained and to use Sevocity for the 100 encounters. If the 100 encounters is too many for you based on the size of your practice, we are also more than happy to work with you to determine a feasible number of encounters. Pros: The ease of medication prescription and ability to tailor to specialty.

Cons: It is a little difficult to create templates.

Overall: I am a nurse practitioner at a pain clinic that utilizes Sevocity on a daily basis. It is suitable for a small practice and easily utilized by practitioners and scribes alike. Medication prescription is straightforward, and communication among staff is efficient.

Comments: I have been employed at this Family practice clinic for about one year and seven months. When I started I was introduced to Sevocity Electronic Health records. I was nervous about this due to working on different EHR at other clinics in the past and how long it took me to learn. There was definitely no reason to for me to be nervous because Sevocity EHR was no so easy to learn it and navigate. I am very satisfied .

Pros: Sevocity is easy to navigate through, yet effective at internal communication between provider and staff.

Cons: Software updates, although necessary, do not always run as smoothly as one would hope.

Overall: Sevocity is easy to customize to meet the unique requirements of any practice type. It is very user friendly which makes it less of a daunting task to train new employees.

Pros: The organization and protection that it gives us as providers.

Cons: The fact that you cannot delete permanently a record that was upload it by accident.

Comments: There are a lot of good things about this system, but not always user-friendly. You cannot send a refill and see the patient's chart at the same time. Pending orders have to be MANUALLY reconciled. There is not an opportunity for bi-directional interface with labs allowing for true computerized order entry.

Overall: Software: The software is a bit challenging to customize for some, but they do have customization experts that can help and do it for you. A few things could be added to ease use and interfacing, such as more detailed reporting options and import/export options. Luckily, they have product request forms and an actual department to take these requests into consideration for future updates.

Adding Users: The paperwork involved in adding users to Sevocity is minimal and not too tedious. The paperwork and wait time for adding clinical staff to the prescribing software, RCopia, is a bit too much, especially when you have a high staff turnover rate.

Customer Support: Starting out in Sevocity a few years ago, customer support was completely lacking. We would call and then not receive a call back for weeks unless we kept calling in to keep track. However, over the years they have developed new ways of handling calls and requests which have made it MILES ahead as far as efficiency.

Recommendations to other buyers: Be patient and attend the frequent training phonecalls

Pros: Ability to generate specific reports and review quickly. User-friendly. Ability to access multiple patient related report features. Ease of adding and uploading documents.

Cons: I do not have any cons at this moment.

Overall: Always discovering new features that are extremely useful and user-friendly. I have recently been given more Administrative access and find it an easy learning curve and the support is superb.
Looking forward to expanding my usage of the system in our growing practice.

Pros: Ease of use.
Great customer support (which was rarely needed).

Cons: No audible tone when a patient is ready to be brought back.

Overall: Sevocity was the first EHR program that I had ever used. I was amazed at how with just a couple training sessions how easy it was to pick up. Sevocity made my first EHR experience a good one.

Overall: Inexpensive, but difficult to tweak once started. I have had it for almost ten years. Customer support is pretty good. Updates are sometimes a pain.

Yudelsy, Thank you for your feedback. All chart entries are editable up until the provider signs the note (note that the audit trail automatically tracks all changes by user and date). After the note is signed by the provider that same provider may amend the note. If you make a really ¿big¿ error such as putting a note on the wrong patient and the system will not allow you to undo this, please contact Support and we can assist.

Comments: The support department is excellent. They always answer the phone, try to help, solve the problem before they give you a ticket for the issue. The department keeps you updated with email as to where they are on solving the issue. That is truly SUPPORT.

Pros: The software is user-friendly and the product seems to be consistent.

Cons: The interface with other software's need to be better and the execution on when to update the software (time wise) and how it affects the customers.

Overall: The quality of the product is good. The only concern that is constant is the execution of the product and getting new providers enrolled but once that portion is completed things run fairly smooth. The last concern a customer service representative. There is one individual that needs additional training which can either make or break the process and that person answer calls regularly.

We have customers go through support to enroll providers because we have to set up ePrescribing and we also offer customization and personal training to all new providers. Our support team director will also get more information regarding our support team member who may need additional training. Support calls are recorded and we have a quality review process where several random calls are reviewed and scored weekly. We may have missed a team member¿s need for additional training and certainly will address. All updates are scheduled to begin around 11pm to midnight CT and we notify customers at least 72 hours in advance when an update requires Sevocity to be off-line. We make every attempt to limit the off-line time to 4 hours or less for such updates so that Sevocity is up and running no later than 4am

Pros: The Support... I have called as late at 10 oclock EDT and was able to either get a question answered or they have logged in with me and fixed my problem , then took the time and explained what we may have done wrong... Love the support

Pros: Easy to use and learn, takes very little time and effort to get up and running with it. Is tightly designed and compact. None of this modular approach, like there is a module for this function and yet another module for that function. Feature rich, easy to set up and customize to your liking.

Cons: Email feature bare bones, needs to function more like a real email system. But it is OK to work with, we use it a lot. During note creation, one can only access the prior note, not any other historical notes, a clear shortcoming in documentation. Sevocity uses Dr First as their e-Rx feature. While that system is not bad, Sevocity should insist to get more access to training resources from Dr. First. Training on Rcopia is spotty. With time and usage one can figure it out but an area that could be improved upon.

Overall: Our office has come from eMDs and Praxis EMR systems. In addition, we have reviewed many other systems before we made the transition to the next EMR. Based on that information I can say Sevocity is easily the best of them all. We are a family practice clinic and I would highly recommend Sevocity for any primary care doctor.

Recommendations to other buyers: Overall, very good system, no regrets having Sevocity run in our office. Interfaces very well with OPM practice management system (web based also), OPM transfers schedule, demographics and billing info, Sevocity transfers the orders from each encounter (Dx, CPT codes) to make billing in OPM a breeze!

Pros: all of the above and web based server! Also, it makes EHR incentive reports easy to do.

Cons: If the internet goes down we can't access our charts. Fortunately that is infrequent.

Overall: I had used 3 different EHR software programs at other practices. When I opened this practice 10 years ago I evaluated and compared Sevocity to the others and found it to be intuitive to use clinically and functions seamlessly with our practice management software.

Pros: It works well. It is not glitchy. I believe that reporting for Meaningful Use will be smoother than our previous software.

Cons: There is a lot of data entry. There area few areas that could be streamlined. I don't love the eprescribing feature. I think that could be simplified, made larger and perhaps color coding things throughout the software would be helpful.

Overall: We have only had Sevocity in our office for a few months. Sevocity's team of sales, customer service professionals, and support are quite rapid. They are quite organized. It was really impressive when we initially began. The training/trainer was excellent!

Overall: Recent webinar user ability, very helpful but let me wondering how the staff could better assist the Doctor so that his time is not all spent on sending the referral and documents.

Recommendations to other buyers: Would to see the linking ability to change so that you could check several documents to an encounter without having to go out after each one. Example: Patient has been in hospital and we get the ED report, progress note, lab, scan's etc. which come in individually and in order to link those to there Hospital follow up note we have to make multiple in and out trips to link 5-10 reports to that one encounter instead of being able to check on all of them and have them link all together.

Pros: As above, the product was easy to learn and the training was good. The prescribing software is excellent.

Cons: 1. Two people cannot be in the chart at one time. For example, if you want to chart in the HPI, your nurse cannot enter meds or PMH, or be in any other part of the pt's chart. This seriously affects work flow, and for this reason alone I would consider buying another EHR. If you have a busy office, this is not a great system.
2. Everything is an "encounter" so if you change a med, or refill a med, or talk to a patient, you have to scroll through these encounters to find your notes. You can only see the titles of 5 encounters at a time and then you have to ask to see more.

I have asked the Development Team to fix these issues but they told me they have more pressing issues to work on.

Overall: The product was generally easy to learn and is overall good value but the product has a tragic flaw (see below).

Recommendations to other buyers: Overall the price is good and the system generally works, which is good. However, my main complaint is listed in the "con" section

Comments: If you want a simple system that is easy to learn and use, Sevocity is great. It makes some things very easy (general navigation in particular), but other things are completely impossible within the system, so be aware that with simplicity comes some limitations. In particular, there is no way to see who a message is routed to once it is sent, or to recall it. The medication portal connection is not always smoothly integrated. There is no way to see the original prescription that was sent once it has been sent (including release dates). Vendor has usually been quick to respond to questions, and to update me on solutions. There was one issue that I spoke with a Sevocity tech support member about, and was told that I would hear back, but I have yet to receive a response (2-3 months later); however, the issue seems to have been resolved.

Pros: We love the vendor! They are always there to help with any questions we have. The product is very easy to learn how to use.

Cons: You can not open a new encounter unless the previous encounter is finalized.

Recommendations to other buyers: It is a great EMR system. We have been through 2 others within the past 2 years of getting this and would recommend to anyone!

Comments: We love just about everything about Sevocity. It is easy to learn and very easy to customize the system the way you want it.

It would be better if you could open a new encounter before the previous encounter was finalized.

Looking up the ICD-9 code can be a hassle. We we use the book more than the system for that.

Comments: Its easy to use. The training is very informative. The support staff is always happy and eager to help. The yearly conferences always a blast I love the one on one training and meeting all of the different users and sharing stories the trip is always FUN I would recommend sevocity to any and everyone

Pros: Sevocity is easy to customize to meet the unique requirements of any practice type. Very user friendly, it is not time consuming to train new employees.

Cons: Honestly nothing comes to mind - if we want a change we send a product request form to Sevocity and developments reviews our requests. They meet my needs and expectations

Recommendations to other buyers: It is very important that you know the steps (process) your business goes through to enter a patient, evaluate them, handle referrals and prescribe for them. What information do you want to see when scheduling an appt (I want to see Balances and Insurance Information) You also want to know operationally how with the new software improve your productivity - Sevocity has excellent method of internal communicating with staff and providers. Last but not least be knowledgeable as to what the providers and staff require from the software to make it more productive for your organization.

Comments: Pros - user friendly, easy to train new staff, very functional, and compatible with many laboratories. My practice has been on Sevocity since 2009 we have found this company provides the service that they promised they would within the timeframe. Easy to customize.
Cons - not yet available on the Ipad
Details - I have a large staff and they have no problem navigating Sevocity we use it for communications of all types, patient issues, meeting notices and confirming arrival at work. I routinely print production reports so as management I know who did what when - better yet who didn't.

Comments: We have used this product for 5 years now, we are very happy with our selection. We receive excellent support, training and guidance from the customer service team. Updates are done and training is constantly given. Yearly conferences are available. Customization's can be requested but are not guaranteed a provider enhancement must be submitted first and reviewed.

Comments: We have been with Sevocity since 2011, and we have had some issues but a lot of it is due to the fact that the staff and provider's need to take some time to learn more about this program that is and will constantly change with new and updates and requirements that are put into place by CMS. Product Enhancements are available, not always granted but available if enough provider's voice their opinions. 2015 was the first Conference I had been to and it was the best ever, I would recommend that all office's send their staff, Administrator, Trainer, or Physician's the information provided is so much more than you can get over the phone and is the key to providing to practice with overall success.

Comments: Sevocity is a great EHR system. i have used it for the past 4 1/2 years and it was easy to catch on. I think that its user friendly and the program has a lot to offer. I love patient portal because the patients can send messages opposed to calling. Its easy for the patients and works great for the staff.

Pros: It's user-friendly, and they have a great first line support team. Usually the first line support takes care of my issue.

Cons: Special requests for enhancements sometimes takes long to implement, if at all.

Recommendations to other buyers: Make sure you have buy in from the provider/staff. Make a provider and a staff person your champion users. When evaluating, you will be able to pick a software that works for all.

Comments: Sevocity was chosen to be our EHR system beginning in 2013. While skeptical at changing over from paper charts to electronic, Sevocity's customer support tried to make the transition easier with training sessions and conference phone calls. They were helpful for Meaningful Use, but we would sometimes have to call multiple times to get answers towards the end of the year. Overall the product is easy to use as it is set up like a chart, and the staff do try to get questions answered.

Comments: I really love the ease of using Sevocity. Its very user friendly. Our coding has improved as well as our time reviewing records. I especially like the reports that I can run as well as meaningful use is obtainable with this system. We have had no problems. The support staff at Sevocity has worked with us every step of the way. Comments: The implementation program was great, but we have since learned that we cannot do many of the things we were able to do on our old system. And many of the work-arounds do not work for our clinic.

The program does work, but we have had a lot of calls to support for problems with connectivity, RCopia, etc due to the servers being down, HL7 issues with data not crossing over from our Practice Management program to Sevocity. We also have issues with corrections not crossing over, but instead duplicating patients causing someone to constantly merge accounts.

I also have a problem with everyone being able to get into functions that only Administrators should have, such as merging. We have had problems in the past with this sort of thing and it caused many headaches and months to correct it.

Overall, it does do the basics and we are adjusting. We were used to more functions and possibilities.

Comments: We have been on Sevocity since 2009 - Sevocity and their product has grown with our company - improving rapidly along the way. On occasion when I contact Sevocity for assistance my calls are handled promptly by a representative that is knowledgeable, polite and helpful. It is very rare in this current climate for a company to be concern that they may not have met your full expectations. Sevocity is one of those companies - focus is on the customers they do business with. Elaine Mendoza, CEO and her staff are well trained in regards to their product, they do not give the customer an unreasonable expectation of what to expect. They deliver what they say they will - when they say they will. They are well above the rest of EHR in the market place! Sevocity is 10 stars in my book.
