### "LONG TIME CLIENT"

I have been using this system since 2011. It is pretty easy to use and set up for my clients. The payment portal would be a nice feature to use but you need to offer more than just Global Payments to use with it.

Pros

It has been pretty easy to use since I first started using it in 2011. It allows me to get my clients into the system and bill out their claims quickly without a lot of startup costs.

Cons

I am not impressed with the lack of knowledge of the support staff, especially since the sale of the company. This has been an unfortunate change. I really dislike the credit card processor that CMD has chosen to use in their payment portal. They need to have more than one option for this feature. Because you use Global Payments and they charge a bunch of unnecessary fees, NONE of my clients chose to use the payment portal in CMD. It would be nice to be able to email statements without having to use the payment portal.

I still use Crystal for the Optometry clients because that is specifically designed for Optometry practices. I chose CMD because I could get my clients started in it quickly for not a lot of upfront charges.

### "10 years ago, it's a OK PM, today stay away"

We signed up 10 years ago, if I get to redo, hell no in picking CollaborateMD. The first few years were pretty OK. After they sold to Denver, it's down hill.

Pros

Simple, very little functions BUT has quite a few reports. It works OK most payor but you might run into problem with some payors.

Cons

If you discover a bug, they don't have developer or refuse to fix it. If you find that a payor having difficulty with a clearing house and you want to route it thru another - they will refuse to help you. They do the bs, will review future date a week from now and that's a week is forever. They DO NOT have the heart to help you although they take the fees. Suports is in layers over layers - goal is to stone wall.

Love CollaborateMD, we recommend this system to all of our clients -- we've been using this system for over 5 years.

Pros

We love CollaborateMD's customizable reporting. The system is easy to use and also very easy navigate.

Cons

Sometimes getting accurate number on the reporting, but you have to really choose the right data fields and filters when creating custom reports.

Terrible. I wish I knew what we were getting into before signing. They are also extremely inflexible with a contract. I would not sign one again.

Pros

Collaborate is a very complicated system that does not support its customers. I cannot give you a positive thing.

Cons

They are extremely hard to work with, they over sale you on the capabilities of the system, and still charge per MB to store documents like we are back in the early 2000's. I have never though billing was hard until we switched to this system. Trying to get any support is impossible and their response times are extremely slow. Would not recommend this to anyone.

Customer support is excellent and it always there if you have any questions. It also has a built-in schedule.

Pros

Payments are posted quickly and easily are deducted from the patient's account. The program easily integrates with practice fusion and its bi-directional.

Cons

A bit of going back and forth within patient and claims section. Wish it would be combined into one.

### "Training is taking too long and inadequate"

Supposedly I can reach out to my trainer and my representative. I have called my representative and emailed him several times for help. When I go to the chat or help desk they won't talk to me without going to my trainer who I have also emailed.

Pros

Ability to enter claims quickly without having to go from platform to platform. Other than that I find it confusing to use.

Cons

I cannot get anyone to answer my emails. I get trained for one hour per week and then I have to struggle alone until the next training. My business is in limbo. I really do not think my trainer has ever entered a claim so they really can't see what I see and do not understand what I am talking about. There was a problem with an ERA last week and I cannot settle the claim because he didn't know how to deal with it. He never followed up with me to let me know how to proceed.

The system may be great once I get it set up to work like it needs too. There are so many errors still happening and I need proper assistance to make sure things are updated to make sure it's working the way it's supposed too.

Pros

There isn't much to say other than it's user-friendly. Training was sub-par. Getting further assistance on how to make the system work effectively and efficiently is almost non-existent. Everyone I talk to wants examples of problems in the system but NO ONE seems to know how to set up the system properly to avoid issues.

Cons

The setup process has been a disaster. Information on how to get the product working efficiently has been a struggle since the beginning. The trainer assigned had very little knowledge and left out so many important details.

collaborate MD is a great option for medical billing practices. From onboarding clients to sending out the first batch of claims it has been easy transitions and accurate set ups. The customer service is also very knowledgeable and helpful.

Pros

Collaborate MD is so intuitive and able to be customized to each specialty to provide accuracy for our billing practice. The security and ease of use is the best!

Cons

We do not have any cons for collaborate md. It is a great tool for making the biggest impact in your practice.

Overall it is a fairly good experience. I was very transparent when we signed up for Collab that this implementation period cannot drag out for a month or two and the Collab rep stated she understood that. Here we are a month later. This is honestly ridiculous to drag it out.

Pros

It is user friendly and easy to navigate. I honestly was able to learn more on my own than with assistance.

Cons

The implementation is sloppy and drags out. It should not take over a month to get this started. Extremely disappointing.

Mostly positive. This is my first experience with this type of software. I could have used more specific training. I am learning "by trial and error." I also would like more training on reports.

Pros

The claims creation, submission and follow-up features are my favorite part.

Cons

All things concerning patient statements are my least favorite feature - they are ugly and expensive. The "statement batch print" search features do not function properly when a mix of electronic and paper statements are sent to patients.

Good but could certainly improve their customer services and timely response to issues when help is needed.

Pros

ease of use when generating reports, tracking claims, era posting, and eob auto insert on bills.

Cons

unable to speak with a customer service rep in a timely fashion and they want you to file a claim ticket and then track it on their software when all you want is a quick answer or use their selfhelp. If I knew the answer, I wouldn't be contacting them.

The worst customer support! I was told by a CollaborateMD supervisor that at most, they have 6-7 representatives working at any given time. This is outrageous. They don't bother to re-call if the call is dropped. No genuine concern for their clients whatsoever.

When I was choosing my billing software, Collaborate MD caught my eye with the user friendly setup. I became even more impressed once I began using it, and I saw the quick turn-around on claims sent through their clearinghouse. From entering the claim to receiving the payment, Collaborate MD has been amazing.

I believe the reports could be better. More options to choose from on what goes into the reports.

I can't say enough about the support and training I received throughout setup and implementation. The trainer walked me through each phase and left no question unaddressed. By the time training was complete, I was fully equipped to work with CollaborateMD.

I most liked the ease of use, the flexibility in functionality, the integration with our EMR, and the visual attractiveness of the product.

Cons

I least liked the requirement to close patient information in one section before opening a different section for the same patient.
