I have used Dolphin for over five years now. I barely scratch the surface of its capabilities. The lack of any manual or learning material means we will likely miss out on many great features. However, we also employ at least three other software integrations to make up for the features that Dolphin lacks. It just doesn't offer good new patient flow.

Pros

The program is very robust and offers a huge array of features.

Cons

Dolphin is way behind on the current trend of paperless healthcare.

The program is top notch, I can always get help when I need it through calling in or more recently the on line chat feature. The help section usually answers my questions without having to contact Dolphin directly. Honesty, I cannot say enough good things about this software and company.

Pros

Dolphin Management is my favorite! I am always learning new features that have been added and we have been using it for over 12 years now! It has made life at the office so much easier. From scheduling, charting, patient GPS, appointment reminders, finances.... you name it Dolphin has got the entire spectrum of orthodontics covered! I talk about how great the program is so often at the office they think I should work there! LOL Kudos to the Dolphin Team!

Cons

There are alot of updates, which I really appreciate, but sometimes they do not come in at the scheduled time and it will can disrupt the morning.

Saves time and costs. Makes one person able to handle different requests form a customer- patient.

Pros

Software represents multiple tools in one. Different aspects of daily activities ( administrative and professional) are gathered under one toll which makes pulling out necessary data timely and efficient. Some of the perks are treatment cards, imaging and financial information available for all users. Also, keeping financial information attached for each patient and possibility of extracting reports such as payment summary and walkout statement are lifesaving when it comes to explaining to a patient what are they financial obligations.

Cons

It could take a while to train new employee how to use this software. The main obstacle comes from complexity of the software itself. Facts that you have all different aspects united under one program makes training little bit longer and more demanding for non experienced staff.

It's potentially a powerful software, but their customer support is extremely poor and there are common and sudden issues popping up so often there's no way to justify any benefits received from choosing Dolphin over any number of other options.

Pros

When it works properly, Dolphin has a wide array of features and quick navigation. It also makes a cute Dolphin cry when you launch it.

Cons

We have had numerous issues with Dolphin suddenly not working, office-wide or workstation specific. When contacting Dolphin about these issues there is often a wait, and the tech agents are slow to respond. I have had live chat agents admit that they handle multiple clients at one time, explaining the slow responses and long delays in help. Even worse, when they are actually paying attention to you they often do not resolve the issue quickly, or sometimes at all. I can't possibly recommend this software based on my experiences.
