Pros: Can access it from my phone in the exam room very easily. All my medical calculators are easily accessible.

I also use it as my infectious disease resource- I can look up a infection and find the latest recommendations. The meds also include pill pictures which I have used to ask a patient to identify what strength med they are on or if it is scored. It also includes some herbal medications which is useful for checking medication interactions( you can put all your medications in a list and it will list all the interaction).

Cons: The cost is not cheap but it is worth it.

Overall: I have used Epocrates for at least 10 years. I use it multiple times every day to check doses, combination products, side effects and medication interactions. I find it extremely useful.

Pros: The possibility of taking it on your cell phone, tablet to the patient's bedside. Extensive data base of drugs, and its application of verification of interaction is very useful for the indication of medicines of infrequent use

Cons: As a disadvantage only the unavailability in another language such as Spanish. It would improve the signaling on the web page to log in, it is not easy to visualize.

Overall: I use it almost every day. It is a very practical tool for my profession. It is not easy to remember so many things in detail.

Pros: Epocrates allows me to quickly pull up all the drug information I need within seconds - and it's right at my finger tips. Like others have mentioned, the app is updated very regularly to make sure you're getting the correct information. It's super valuable for anyone in medical practice!

Cons: The price point for the full application can be a little steep - you have to weigh in whether the extra functionality is something you'd benefit from.

I would love the option to download information for offline use as well.

Overall: Extremely useful pocket guide that allows me to check up on drugs, their interactions and warnings. There is more built-in functionality that will really make your life easier.

Excellent app that allows quick and practical reviews about drugs of infrequent use and others.

Pros: Easy to use. Very complete database. Available in a format that you can take to the patient's bedside. Allows use by specialty.

Cons: I would only ask that it be available in Spanish. I can also add, that I had problems accessing my account from the mobile, because I did not accept the password. I had to delete and download the application again.

Pros: Easy to use. I've been using it for the past 15 years. Updates all the time. Excellent resource for anyone in a medical practice.

Cons: Some features not available unless you pay for a subscription. Very useful otherwise. Would pay for it if they gave a discount to providers.

Overall: Keeps me up to date on medications

Pros: This app is awesome for anyone who is in the medical field or learning about medicine. It is great and works as an application so it can be on your phone and always with you. It takes no time at all to pull it out look up what you need whether it be medical questions or pharmacological questions and then bam you got your answer.

Cons: The application at times can feel a little clunky and i wouldn't recommend following it to a "t" just in case there is data that may potentially be wrong. I have had the app crash a couple times when searching but i'm not sure if its my phone or the app itself.

Pros: Easy to use, regular updates (new medications, new indications, new alerts)

Cons: Nothing -- they have resolved the issues I used to complain about (mostly, it was that you had to be at the desktop to update)

Overall: I have used this since it was first launched in the early 1990s, on a Palm Pilot. Over the years, they have made progressive upgrades, both as technology has changed and to meet user requests/needs.

The periodic short pieces about recent research, the picture quiz poll, FDA alerts, etc. are very helpful, but do not interfere with your ability to get to the necessary content. They have finally added the class of drug in the individual monographs -- it now shows up under the main monograph header and under the Pharmacology section.

Pros: I'm normally not looking to sift through tons of information to get the little piece I'm looking for. This software is perfect for that, I normally don't have to search too hard to find appropriate drug dosages, drug interactions etc. The app is also really easy to use, I know nurses of all ages who use this. I was recommended it by a nurse who had been working for a long time and it's a great tool.

Cons: The paid app is really expensive. Other than that, I think its a must have for new or established nurses.

Overall: It's like having your drug "pocket guide" with you but only having to carry your phone around instead of a heavy book that is never actually pocket-sized. I've even shown the app to some patients, in case they are worried about drug side effects or interactions with how many medications they take.

Pros: I'm a med student, currently I spend most of them time at hospital and when I need specific information this app is the best of all, the search mode is easier than you think and the patient can get total access and help to understand about medications, illness, symptoms and more, this is the best medical app I know.

Cons: Some features are not available if you don't get a subscription, but I also think it worth you get the subscription, generally I don't have any complain about this app.

Overall: Information, and I think is the best benefit I get from this software, is the best in the medical area.

Pros: It has some of the most basic tools and data that doctors need. For example it has drug interaction checker, it also has infomration about drugs available for free and some medical calculators. It has FREE app availalbe for mobile devices. I have never seen any ads so it is completley free in that sense, compared to medscape which does show some ads.

Cons: The tools and resources are tooo limited compared to medscape. In fact it appears like a light version of medscape which is also available for free.

Overall: I always have it in my cell but i rarely need it since i have it's big brother too.

Pros: Each one of the topics that it presents allows health professionals to know in detail everything related to a medicine and the possible interactions with others; In addition to knowing which medications are specific for a particular pathology.

Cons: If I have to say something I do not like, I will only talk about the color of the page, because it should have more neutral colors so that it does not distract the professional's view.

Overall: It has been useful to me during the dental visit because it is an easy way to find the medications that I must prescribe to my patients.

Epocrates is very helpful in medical practice. It enabled me have access to quick references.

Pros: I like that it's readily available, current includes relevant information including cost estimates. I also like that it's integrated into my EMR.

Overall: I get up to date information about drugs, prescribing instructions, cost estimates.

Pros: This software is excellent. It gives you all the necessary information right in the app about any drug that you need. So easy to use and fast.

Cons: There really aren't any cons. One feature I would like to see would to be able search for drugs based on their looks. Sometimes patients can recognize pills when they don't know the drug name.

Pros: I currently have the free version of Epocrates. The app is generally good for finding out the indications for a drug and other basic information.

Cons: The free version does not have any type of drug interaction checker or pill identifier, which would be helpful. I also don't like how every time I open the app, a series of short article links pops up in front of the main menu and I have to exit out of that first to get to what I want to see.
