ConceptDraw MINDMAP Reviews
Pros
It was surprisingly nimble and responsive, and I kind of fell in love with its simple but effective uses.
This is a "Best of Breed" product that I know will be reliable and helpful over the years.
The ease of use with this software is amazing. The ability to convert to Word and/or PowerPoint with the click of a button is absolutely amazing.
Great to use when I'm starting a project. An excellent way to get all of the unorganized thoughts out of my head, and into an organized fashion.
Cons
Starting learning curve (as I don't like reading the instructions) but made it through.
ConceptDraw MINDMAP is not available on the cloud (SaaS) and has no mobile application. And the pro license is expensive unless you get a student/education discount.
A bit dated UI considering windows 10. Limited high DPI scaling on my 4k monitor.
I tend to get confused about the keyboard shortcut combinations. That is more abut me than the software.
"My take on ConceptDraw Mindmap"
Overall: I am a doctor and a designer and I mostly use the tool for my personal use for capturing ideas, making notes for presentations and this is a tool I cant do without. It can be overwhelming and there is a bit of learning curve, but once you warm upto it, the potential is limitless. Love Mindmap
Pros: 1. Minimal wide and yet highly functional brainstorming canvas. 2. Easily switchable brainstorming and mindmapping mode with efficient toolsets for organizing the information. 3. Vast library of templates, themes and graphic elements. 4. Great export features. I can't'do without its seamless integration with MS office and Evernote.
Cons: As of ConceptDraw Mindmap 9 1. A bit dated UI considering windows 10. 2. Limited high DPI scaling on my 4k monitor. Some sections looks too tiny.
"Convenient tool for brainstorming and organizing thoughts and ideas"
Overall: Constantly studying and working in any field (in my case, in the legal field), it is often necessary to have a convenient IT tool to work out ideas and organize your thoughts, which would allow you to fix everything in the brainstorming process and not lose anything. After a brainstorming session, you need to quickly organize disparate thoughts into a simple structure in order to gain clarity and understanding for making a decision. ConceptDraw MINDMAP does an excellent job with these tasks
Pros: ConceptDraw MINDMAP has a minimalistic and intuitive interface that does not distract from the most important thing - from work (thinking, organizing thoughts and subsequent planning). A big undeniable advantage of MINDMAP is the possibility of direct integration of thought from MINDMAP into ConceptDraw PROJECT and back. All this makes teamwork with ideas not only convenient, but also fast. I like the presence of various map styles in MINDMAP, as well as the flexibility to configure and manage them (not only business, corporate style, but also organic, taking into account the recommendations of Tony Buzen)
Cons: ConceptDraw MINDMAP is only available in the local version and is not yet available in the cloud (SaaS), so you need to have a computer nearby to work with the program, which sometimes is not very convenient
"Good On-premises Idea Visualization Solution"
Overall: As an instructional designer, I collaborate with team members on multi-phase eLearning projects that generally include ideation sessions, student journey mapping, and product features prioritization. Also, we pull learning analytics reports and research data from various resources into our workspace to support our product design decisions. ConceptDraw MINDMAP Facilitates idea mapping and concept visualization all-over our Instructional design project phases. The dashboard features allow us to bring data and organize/visualize our ideas all in one place and allow team leaders to filter and customize the project dashboard view to present our findings directly from ConceptDraw MINDMAP.
Pros: ConceptDraw MINDMAP is on-premises Visualization software with advanced features and capabilities designed to facilitate ideas organization and concept visualization during the various phases of teamwork projects. MINDMAP enhances teamwork productivity and collaboration and supports business and product design decisions. The dashboard has efficient features, like direct presentation, customized content filters, and various export options. Also, the continuous version updates improve the software capabilities over time. The MINDMAP dashboard allows users to attach files, embed links, and add notes to help users stay focused on one collaborative workspace. Also, it integrates with Microsoft Office and many ConceptDraw solutions to facilitate overall workflow and enhance project scalability.
Cons: ConceptDraw MINDMAP is not available on the cloud (SaaS) and has no mobile application. And the pro license is expensive unless you get a student/education discount.
"MINDMAP prepares students to solve difficult problems! "
Pros: It is a valuable tool to help anyone communicate a vision and objectives to others. It gives the opportunity to play with huge challenges getting skills to be later a successful professional.
Cons: It takes a while to understand all the functions. But mostly all could be discovered instinctively.
"Very satisfied with the application integration"
Overall: I am an architect and I have had the opportunity to manage several projects in several divisions at the same time, I have used the tool from the earliest planning to the development of the final closing phase. Capturing ideas and integrating the entire solution from all three applications is incredible.
Pros: 1. The ease of use to really dedicate time to generating ideas and organizing them in MindMap is perfect. 2. The ease of integration to convert ideas into a tracking program in Project and then the versatility to make adjustments and modifications to it. 3. The intuitive nature of creating formats for specific reports with high graphic quality is the best thing about Diagram for me.
Cons: 1. A version for iPad would make my job easier because you can't take a computer in the field. 2. Having cloud integration would be great.
