Trying to deal with vacations, holidays, and time-off when 24x7x365 coverage was a nightmare; a collection of always outdated spreadsheets, voicemails, and post-it notes. Shiftboard enabled us to easily automate the process and put the coverage decisions in the hands of our physicians. Now, each of our Medical Directors easily works out coverage among themselves using Shiftboard. A huge improvement! Pros Everything is right at your fingertip; you do not have to search. Navigating through shift board gives you a sense of independence on how to do it yourself. Cons Sometime this software can be slow when multiple people are trying to access it at the same time. The actual events are bunched up together on the calendar in one day. October 12, 2017 5.0 Pros Many useful features, keeping track of schedules, timecards for payroll purposes, budgeting reports. Cons The graphics are not very intuitive, sometimes there is a link to click on, but it is not obvious unless it is known beforehand....such as the line to "entering timecards without shift", it is not obvious that we can click on it to get to the form to enter the timecards. At the time of purchasing, this was the most suitable and cost effective for our needs. Pros It does what it says on the tin. Basic rostering software. There are rumours it will soon be integrated with events management software, which would boost these scores significantly. Cons It is a quite clunky and not as intuitive for staff as we would like. October 16, 2017 5.0 Pros It's easy to post an event, assign those who have signed up. Sending out a broadcast is helpful. Just one problem, see below Cons It's difficult to remove someone from the event. I have a hard time editing things that have been already posted. When I send out a broadcast, most of the time I check the box to have it sent to only unassigned employees. It sends it to all my ushers which confuses those that have already been assigned. Pros The desktop version is easy to navigate and add shifts or check schedules, I do like the ability to view all schedules on one team and not just mine. Also gives you the option to view available shifts and pick them up. Cons The mobile app is needs to be completely redone. Extremely glitchy, errors out, very hard to navigate. I end up having to bookmark the desktop browser version on my phone and navigate the desktop version in my browser which is time consuming with the small print. Review Source SP Sofia P. It makes everything go much more smoothly, since the alternative is a humble spreadsheet -- ok, but not nearly as useful as Shiftboard. Pros Makes scheduling easy. Cons Takes a little practice to use it effectively. When you're a once-a-year employee or volunteer, you don't necessarily have the time to get up to speed every time. It is easy to create multiple duplicate shifts as well as set up RSVP's for an event. Cons Manager need to be able to check in members for shifts on a mobile device. March 29, 2019 4.0 Pros This system keeps track of all employees shifts and is very helpful when trying to book staff but it will notify you if they are already booked! It's an incredibly user friendly system that allows staff to trade hours on the same day, can see their shifts online and sign up for shifts if they are looking to pick up hours.
