My experience with Shiftboard started when information from one of our four accounts was intentionally deleted by one of our employees. Tech Support "talked me off the ledge" as they recovered as much of the information as they could and then walked me through every step of rebuilding that account. No question was ever too trivial and they provided me with all the support we needed to get that account back up and running. We have just added three new accounts as more departments within our organization are deciding to use Shiftboard to manage their scheduling and communication. It's a program that is very user friendly and the Shiftboard staff are always professional, courteous and quick to respond to questions. If you are considering a scheduling program, I highly recommend that you choose Shiftboard!

The support team was great at making every adjustment we need to our registration form. It is encouraging as I am still learning all the things this system offers and I am confident I will have someone to assist me at all times, should I encounter something I am unfamiliar with.

Pros

Covers all types of workforces, projects, events and all the different aspects of organizing a workforce. Running an event with volunteers, it was great to find a platform that integrated the registration process with scheduling and allowed for easy organizing of different teams.

Cons

I would like if certain aspects, such as the registration form, could be more customizable and that the user could edit it themselves.

Pros

I like that Shiftboard shows you all of the available positions for scheduling.

Cons

We schedule using the List option. I dislike that once you choose your hours for a certain day, it doesn't take you to the next day. There's a lot of back and forth.

ScheduleFlex is helpful with keeping multiple departments scheduled and staffed. It makes it easy to communicate schedule updates. The mobile interface could be better since so many users access via phone or tablet but it isn't a dealbreaker. Overall good product once you learn how to use it!

Pros

Once you have learned the software, schedules are easy to set up and change. You can also easily access the information on different platforms so it can be communicated quickly.

Cons

The interface does have a bit of a learning curve and takes a little bit to get used to. Overtime and holiday tracking are not automatic which would also be very helpful.

need a few more questions for vetting , we had a few non crossfitters make it in the team and they were shocked and didn't expect the heavy work loading at times

This userface is easy to use for both managers and employees (in my case, student workers). I can easily schedule my student workers or allow them to pick up what shifts I want listed as available. I haven't had much luck with the auto-assign feature as it's just easier for me to have a list from my workers to manually input. But the assign and pickup features work well enough for my needs. The one con I see is that Shiftboard won't let you click on multiple slots (of different times and days) to mass assign, like how you can click on multiple cells in a spreadsheet and make one bulk change. Otherwise, my unit has benefited well from switching over to Shiftboard, to the point that I usually introduce and train other units in our organization to Shiftboard.

Pros

Very easy to use application. Like to be able to see specific teams only. Multiple views to be able to see your schedule.

Cons

Not too much that I do not like about the application. Sometimes events do not show enough information.

MLB Network implemented Shiftboard 3 or 4 years ago as a way to improve on the Excel-based schedules of the past. While it is an improvement there, it does not talk directly to our time and attendance software, and thus has required some redundant work for our scheduling. Shiftboard is web-based, and has a mobile app, both of which are essentials for our 24/7 work environment. While Shiftboard's user interface isn't the easiest, it is good, and certainly gets the job done.

Seeing my work schedule

Pros

That I can easily view my schedule and see when my other coworkers are in or out. It is helpful to use when requesting time off.

Cons

That I can not look back at my clock in and clock out times as an employee. I would like to be able to go back and see times and be able to send request to my HR to fix times from the program if needed to be.

As a nonprofit organization we find SB to be most suitable for the scheduling of volunteers, doing exactly what it is designed to do.

Pros

creating/scheduling shifts ease of updating files/records automated reminders/welcomes/etc. tracking hours photo capability document uploading/linking retroactive scheduling/changes confirmations and reminders of shifts uncomfirm, change, delete, reassign capability

Cons

volunteers unable to see ALL shifts/events - Shiftboard has been working to resolve that issue. more versatile reports for tracking hours

My company has been using Shiftboard for about two years to schedule teaching shifts at our organization. We also use it for our employees to log timecards based on those shifts. This summer Shiftboard upgraded to a new version, which unfortunately introduced some errors into the timecard system, making it impossible to process or approve timecards or even see what shifts employees have logged. This has made it very difficult for us to process our payroll. We have submitted multiple help requests through their system with no response over the last few months. Unfortunately there isn't even a phone number listed for customer support after you log into the system.

It has brought the concept of multiple systems to one place, eliminating the need for more than one program.

Cons

It is hard to get used to, and the set up is tricky. It's a lot of trial and error to get things set up the way you want them to but customer service is great at answering questions.

Pros

It is very easy to pick up the shifts that I want. I also can go back other months and see what I worked to make sure that I am on track with my hours.

Cons

Sometimes it locks up if I am trying to pick up a shift that someone else is always trying to pick up. I then can't get a shift on that day so I have to go to another day.

Update for Shiftboard could have come quicker. There was some information you would need to input that always wasnt easy to obtain.
