I am really satisfied with this app. A bit worse to get know all the features but on the other side perfect tools. Pros The app is perfect for planning timeline of your project before the implementation starts. It allows you to define milestones and tasks in nice "bubble" view. Then you can set project details like resources and resources costs. Using tasks assignment page you are allowed to automatically create timeline for every task in the project. The application also provides simulation using Monte Carlo to set right esteeming. Cons It is quit difficult to learn all the features and how to use them. UI and UX are not what you expect in 2022 and for 200 dollars a year. There's no pre-defined easy sharing between the team, work with UI is really painful and unobvious not only for me but for the whole team Pros nothing, really nothing. A lot not obvious moments, I'm scared with every action as it already broke my progress in planning several times Cons UI and UX. when you drag tasks, trying to change them, etc. And there's also no way to have text near tasks with tasks titles. As a one off purchase it offers good value too. If you require greater integration with task management then there are better alternatives out there with some compromises in the functionality of gannt chart creation. Pros Omniplan was our first true project schedule planning tool. At the time it replaced excel timelines which were inefficient to create and update. Omniplan made creating timelines with dependencies very simple and easy to keep updated. Cons We moved away from Omniplan because it lacked integration with task management software and was creating double ups in our workflow. Pros One of the best features of this software is the Gantt diagram visualization, its objective is to help the user to efficiently manage their projects with visual tools that allow a clear and accurate monitoring of each process and task to be executed in the project. Cons The limitation of use only for Apple equipment, it would be great to be able to use it in another type of operating system, its scope would be greater. MPP like / Tabular interface for Data Entry the first time would be an easier / quicker way to create new projects. Locking Timelines is not very obvious. Pros This is a very basic, easy to use Project Management tool. If you are already an Omni user (Graffle, Focus) and need simple PM then I would recommend this. It is a first class Mac application. Cons This is not as powerful as Merlin. If you really need powerful Mac project management I would recommend you look to Merlin first.
