In addition to their fantastic video player with analytics, they provide a wide array of educational content for shooting your own videos. If you've ever wondered if your visitors watched all of your video or what parts they found interesting, you've got to check out Wistia. They have an awesome free plan, so there's no barrier to trying things out. Pros \- Fantastic video player. - It's incredibly easy to setup a new video and add/remove whichever features you want. - Great selection of resources for shooting your own videos. - And the company is just fantastic. Great for tracking views on your website videos – my company exclusively uses Wistia for marketing videos on the website and training videos in our Help Center. Very happy with this program. Cons I just saw another review of Wistia that mentioned the user community and company content – which I have never seen before! Pros It is not only very easy to upload videos, but to manage and customize them as well. Nothing against You Tube because I use that as well but their user experience can be a bit overwhelming to someone using it for the first time. Cons You don't get a lot of uploads with the free version. It organizes all of our videos and makes it easy to link to them on our website. Cons We have occasionally ran into limit issues with Wistia where we have to remove videos to free up space. For that reason, it's an invaluable tool. Pros I like that we can use Wistia to share videos not only internally, but with our external customers as well. I also like the playback functions for the videos. Cons There's nothing that it's missing. It's good software for our use case. Perhaps the ability to embed the videos in another webpage would be helpful, but it's not that necessary for our purposes. There are many options, so I could see there being a little learning curve, but I think it is just the right amount so you can make your video effective in your own way. Pros We currently use the free version of the software. I got an awesome welcome from a customer success manager or account executive who was very enthusiastic about helping us grow with Wistia. Sometimes I wish they had some additional functionality, but they make up for any gaps with their customer support Pros Supports higher quality videos than YouTube and doesn't require the annoying social aspects of Vimeo. It even lets you input closed captioning. Cons The payment plans have gone up over the past year and are really starting to affect the number of videos I can upload. Cons Their pricing structure changed. We grandfathered in, but we didn't necessarily keep what we'd originally signed on with. Now we deal with video limits and charges for each extra video. In addition, when we want to add captions to optimize for Facebook they have a service that costs a little to automatically add them. Also very easy to add a cover image for the video. Cons I don't have too much to share about what I dislike. If you have multiple user roles and can be cumbersome to assign manager roles vs. viewer roles. Only the "account owner" can do that and that person might not always be assesible. The community is really strong and present in Slack. Cons When we finally decided to purchase the Wistia + Marketo integration, I didn't find support to be all that helpful. We were told that issues embedding forms in Wistia videos was a Marketo CSS targeting issue, and while that was the case, some more support or help from Wistia to ensure our success with that integration would've been really appreciated.
