Pros: I like the functionality and the options to customize our charts.
Cons: It's very technical and there is a lot of back-end things that aren't user friendly. However, the technical support team and the training I have received is phenomenal.

Pros: I have found that there are many options when it comes to selecting the right software to manage and/or create your org charts. But the number one reason why I continue to renew with OrgChart is because of their customer service. I am treated as though I am a priority. I typically get same day responses and I am treated like a team member. Of course its a great product as well, but when I need assistance the service matters.
Cons: I don't have anything negative that I have come across with after using for 5+ years.

Overall: It's ok but nothing to rave about.
Pros: The ability to auto update from HRIS and Auto post to our website is a huge time saver.
Cons: Administration if you need to make changes is clunky and hard to figure out.

Cons: There is manual labor and time involved in updating org with employees from other jurisdictions.

"It gets the job done"
Overall: In general, our experience with OrgChart has been positive. We've had a few hiccups along the way, but that is to be expected with any service. Now that the service is up and running, it is serving our needs and is much more efficient than our former organization chart product.
Pros: Implementation of OrgChart was relatively simple and quick. Whenever we've had an issue that required support, we've always received quick service and our issue was resolved quickly.
Cons: Though OrgChart is integrated with our HRIS system, it does not pull all the data we would have liked. As a result, we have to import some data on a weekly basis to pull in information such as employee groups (full-time staff, part-time staff, etc.). In addition, we have academic departments with many part-time faculty, and rather than listing them out individually, we wanted a headcount of the part-time faculty. We spent a great deal of time with our implementation specialist trying to set this up before he escalated the issue to someone above him to find out that what we wanted to do was not possible.
