Cons It's very technical and there is a lot of back-end things that aren't user friendly. However, the technical support team and the training I have received is phenomenal. But the number one reason why I continue to renew with OrgChart is because of their customer service. I am treated as though I am a priority. I typically get same day responses and I am treated like a team member. Of course its a great product as well, but when I need assistance the service matters. Cons I don't have anything negative that I have come across with after using for 5+ years. I also liked the prompt help when needed, they are always checking on us as well. Pros The system is easy to use and is very organized. I like how I can just manage everything from the system and I am able to create multiple charts. Cons Is hard to work on putting the pictures on the profiles. The customer service department really goes out of their way to respond and resolve issues very quickly, typically with an only a few hours. Pros I love that when I create work charts for company they look like they belong. I like the ease and being able to manipulate the data that shows on specific charts using the same data set. Cons I wish that the search feature looked at every item that we had in our database. It would make it much easier to find our employees within the chart. We've had a few hiccups along the way, but that is to be expected with any service. Now that the service is up and running, it is serving our needs and is much more efficient than our former organization chart product. Pros Implementation of OrgChart was relatively simple and quick. Whenever we've had an issue that required support, we've always received quick service and our issue was resolved quickly. Cons Though OrgChart is integrated with our HRIS system, it does not pull all the data we would have liked. As a result, we have to import some data on a weekly basis to pull in information such as employee groups (full-time staff, part-time staff, etc.). In addition, we have academic departments with many part-time faculty, and rather than listing them out individually, we wanted a headcount of the part-time faculty. We spent a great deal of time with our implementation specialist trying to set this up before he escalated the issue to someone above him to find out that what we wanted to do was not possible. Reason for choosing OrgChart OrgChart was selected by our VP because it integrated and worked with our HRIS system, Dayforce. Pros we have subsidiary company under our main company. I like the best feature of org chart that I can see org hierarchy of individual subsidiaries on their own. Cons Coding or making any changes to the structure is not as easy. But support team is very prompt and helps to get things ironed out efficiently. But we don't use it as a our main point of contact to reference the org chart for the company. With or without names, only a certain part of the org, etc. And I liked that we can have things such as "Remote" show up on each tile but not in a loud, distracting way. Cons For us, it is nice for pulling specific reports but it is not that friendly to a basic user. Admins update the Access Database Staff Reporting Table - very simple data and then the Chart Manager pushes a REFRESH and the boxes are added, modified, moved, removed etc. with a single click. The Org Chart is then verified & published to interal web site. Cons The initial setup can be tricky but worth the extra few minutes over manually entered orgchart data.
