We evaluated more than 10 innovation software tools before we chose Nosco. Our decision was based on cost-benefit and the support we got, not only for the tool itself, but the innovation consultancy at the same time. That has been my overall argument for the star rating. The team is super fast with responses, they try to accommodate your needs and they are real partners and not just a vendor or consultant.

Pros

It's super easy to use in a global company across all the different regions. No extra explanation needed. What I liked even more is the combination of innovation consulting and the innovation software from one hand. I also like the very pragmatic approach from Nosco and their ability to adjust almost everything to your needs and the state of your innovation process and management. They never sell you more than you actually need in this moment.

Cons

A bit more customization for the look and feel would have been good, but this is nothing decisive. And the AI functions were not yet very helpful, but we were early beta testers, so this isn't a real con. I make it a pros, as they were super fast in testing AI in their solutions.

Nosco platform is very intuitive, both from the user's and the admin's perspective. Furthermore, the platform is constantly being optimized based on customer needs. In addition, support responds very quickly if any problems or questions arise. Last but not least, the Nosco team offers webinars featuring interesting discussions and updates, as well as training sessions upon request.

Pros

The Nosco platform is very easy and intuitive to use, which is very important when introducing a new tool to the company. The data visualization provides a good overview of the number of ideas, comments, and visits to the platform.

Cons

The platform supports multiple channels. However, when sending an email directly from the platform, the email does not include information about which channel it belongs to. It’s not a major issue (and this customization is already on the Nosco team’s backlog), but it can cause confusion among employees when more than one innovation campaign is active at the same time.

Efficient evaluation and development of ideas involving a large number of people. Documentation of ideas so they can be revisited later.

Pros

Clean and aesthetically pleasing interface. Simple, user-friendly navigation (even colleagues who are less technically oriented get along very well with using it). Continuous development of the platform. Very good support. Contact persons are easy to reach and respond promptly. They accommodate individual customer requirements and take user feedback into account in further development.

Cons

Management of template information between different stages was not that good at the start (has improved significantly in the meantime.)

I have used Nosco in three different innovation challenges, both as a team member and as an organizer. The platform consistently supported structured collaboration, idea development, and transparent evaluation, making the overall experience smooth and effective.

Pros

Nosco is a very user-friendly platform with quick setup and easy customization to fit different needs. The interactive features encourage strong collaboration across teams, and it is especially valuable for efficiently evaluating and screening ideas during innovation processes.

Cons

While overall very positive, there is some room for improvement in terms of advanced customization options and reporting features, which could further enhance usability for more complex innovation projects.

We used Nosco for an internal innovation challenge within the bank, involving employees from different departments and professional backgrounds. The platform helped us structure the entire process — from collecting ideas and encouraging interaction to evaluating submissions and selecting ideas for further development. Overall, our experience was very positive. The platform was intuitive and made it easy for employees to submit, explore, like and comment on ideas. This helped create visibility around the initiative and encouraged participation beyond the employees who had submitted ideas themselves. The Nosco team also supported us throughout the process and contributed valuable expertise during the later development stages of the challenge, including our innovation bootcamp. Their structured methodology helped teams move from initial ideas toward clearer concepts and convincing pitches.

Pros

The platform is user-friendly and makes innovation initiatives accessible to a broad group of employees, including people who may not have previous experience with innovation methods. It supports participation and interaction well through features such as idea submission, comments and likes. This helped us create engagement and a sense of community around the challenge. The combination of the digital platform, a structured innovation process and the professional support of the Nosco team was particularly valuable. It enabled us to manage a large number of ideas while maintaining a clear and transparent process.

Cons

Some limitations when it comes to very specific requirements. However, this can usually be managed with the right approach.

NOSCO is a very good software to collect ideas, build on and comment on ideas, evaluate ideas etc. We use the NOSCO both for short idea challenges with a focused scope and the channels as always open channels for gathering ideas within specific areas, e.g. gathering ideas within a department so the ideas are visible for everyone in the department and people can see how the ideas are in progress moving from one stage to another . We also use the channels for sharing knowhow across locations all over the world, so employees in different countries immediately are informed about new technology, machines etc. The support from NOSCO is excellent and fast.

Pros

It is easy to set up a challenge or channel. It is easy for idea submitters to post ideas. It is easy for channel admin to evaluate and handle the ideas and to get an overview of the ideas, evaluations etc. You can invite people across the organization (or perhaps external) to post ideas when they have time and from their work station - you save money for traveling to workshops.

Cons

A few topics are missing in the Help function seen from my point of view.

Beyond the software, the advice on how to run a good innovation campaign is outstanding. It's an open and honest business contact that is never lecturing but always supportive.

Pros

easy to set up and connect to the existing system. Access either for internal employees via normal logon but also easy to create for external users.

Language switching only works in general and not individually
