Pros We had to rebuild our archival website, since the software that supported it would soon be outdated. Unfortunately, we did not have the source files for our original site and the individuals who built it were no longer with our company. Thus, this was a difficult job. Soutron was patient and professional throughout the process. Cons They offered many features that while suitable for a large archive, were not useful for a small institution. Would purchase again. Suits our needs. Pros I appreciate the customizations that Soutron offers compared to its competitors. I was able to customize our portal layout, the way our records were displayed, and received training and assistance on how to set up templates for cataloging. I had a lot of assistance learning how to use the system, which I appreciated. Cons The downside to having a lot of customizations and options is that it can be difficult to learn how to do everything possible with the system. I get a lot of help setting up portal layouts, but there is a learning curve in figuring it out. While the support from the Soutron team has always been first class, offering solutions in alignment with our needs, budget and pace of work.
