### "A complicated management software"

April 11, 2019

3.0

If I can spend more time everyday on a project management software, I might give it more stars, I have my workload on a daily base, it is a challenge to figure out the (secret) features Liquid Planner offer. My focus is with the project itself, a complicated system should be able to help me to finish my job, not demanding my time to get familiar with the software.

Pros

It keeps track of the job detail, and it allow more users to work together.

Cons

complicated interfaces, there are terms not easily be understood.

### "Liquid Planner for Content Writing and Site Partners"

August 14, 2018

4.0

My company used LP for years as a way to track our progress and tasks for site partners and websites. It would point out our contributions and specifically tell our bosses and our partners what was receiving the most attention. It was a great way to distribute tasks, monitor progress, and keep track of my to-do list.

Pros

\-kept detailed track of individual tasks -dashboard feature was easy to understand and update -the stopwatch feature was a lifesaver

Cons

\-some tasks were time-consuming to do correctly -when each individual task needed specific information inputs, it was monotonous and became a bit irritating

### "LiquidPlanner works well and is very helpful to plan multiple tasks with teams."

November 16, 2018

5.0

Very good mostly. I hate tracking my time but this makes it fairly easy to do.

Pros

All the different views. I can see the list view or the card view.

Cons

It can get hard to filter and search for things quickly.

### "The best PPM software for timeline driven projects"

October 11, 2017

5.0

When using liquidplanner you can always tell how much work each team member has on his or her plate and when their projects will finish. The dashboards also make for very useful tools for internal and external use.

Pros

For companies with concurrent projects that need to predict finish times while having a fairly automated approach to resource management, LiquidPlanner is for you. It's especially useful if you need to create dashboards where internal or external stakeholders can see key information as updated by users.

Cons

It's very expensive for what it does, overpriced in my opinion. They've come out with a slightly lower tier but it's still not very accommodating. They definitely have a premium product but to me, it doesn't match up with similarly advanced tools.

### "Light user"

September 5, 2018

5.0

Pros

LiquidPlanner made it easy for a business use like me to track the progress of our software roadmap development tasks. When a specific customer requires one (or many) changes, it is easy to follow the delivery date and keep the customer informed.

Cons

The menu's and finding certain functionality can be confusing at time, but with more experience it does become easier.

### "LP is great for process control"

March 8, 2017

5.0

LP is great for planning, but it is good for so much more! As a Quality Manager, I use LP to help maintain quality standards by implementing templates for various product types. Checklists ensure that standard tasks are followed and nothing is skipped. LP helps me feel confident that our defined processes were followed for each project and keeps processes from going out of control. LP is also flexible enough for me to implement customizations for error checking and continual process improvement ideas.

Cons

The search functionality is lacking. Filters are OK for broad searches. If I want something specific I have better luck searching my email for LP comments than using the LP search functionality.

### "Refreshing Change from Previous Project Management Applications"

September 22, 2015

4.0

\*\* PROS -Our number one reason for moving from Wrike to LiquidPlanner is the ability to maintain and monitor resource forecasts for our team of CRM consultants. -LiquidPlanner has many of the features we love about simpler applications like BaseCamp, Asana, etc; however, it also includes the additional project management attributes and features to make it useful for a consulting organization (e.g. delay until, estimated effort, etc.) -Priority-based scheduling, custom fields and dashboards / analytics make LiquidPlanner a great fit for our team of specialists that work in 3 offices across Western Canada. -Attributes like remaining effort, max effort, daily limits, etc. make it really simple to communicate boundaries to our consultants in a simple and consistent manner -We absolutely love the ability to layout a project plan with a finite set of resources without having to hardwire task dependencies to get a sense of schedule. We're never going back to MS Project. -Online documentation and videos is proving to be extremely useful. Nice job providing materials that reflect how we work as opposed to focusing only on software features. \*\* CONS -Although it's a key feature of LiquidPlanner, we're not yet at a state where we're comfortable working with ranged estimates because we haven't quite figured out how to align them with our proposed budgets. Our statements of work are based on time and materials. The struggle is not with the concept (makes total sense) - it's with the data entry. If we estimate 100 hours of effort for our client then what do we enter as Estimated Effort in LiquidPlanner? -Lack of Invoicing Features. We're currently migrating time sheet data from LiquidPlanner to FreshBooks for billing purposes. Either a pre-built integration OR an invoicing feature would be a great addition to LiquidPlanner.

### "Project software I would recommend"

August 28, 2018

5.0

Liquid planner has enabled us to track project hours in a more detailed way. We can see the allocation of hours across the spectrum of the project where as before liquidplanner we only had a total number of hours for the project but could not see where those hours were spent. We also couldn't do projection planner for staff assignment before Liquidplanner.

Pros

I like how easy it is to use and how you can adapt it to any industry. I work in curriculum development and we were having a hard time finding a project management system that worked for our needs and our industry. LiquidPlanner has been flexible to meet our needs.

Cons

I don't have any cons about the product.

### "The potential of the system is excelent"

March 9, 2017

4.0

I find the concept to be the best way to manage projects, but the interface, lack of costumizability causes an unnecessary interface complexity. There are so many items and features that could be hidden from the average user. But the biggest down side to the service is the complete lag of a notification system, making the task chat risky and out dated. I also find the price tag to be too high, especially for smaller innovators and teams. But I guess you prefer big clients and not small clients. The mobile app unfortunately is a very sad story, would love to use it but it is so slow and out of date that I find it unusable.

Pros

The project planing and the system as a hole

Cons

Notification system Mobile app

### "Excellent Predictive Project Management Solution"

October 10, 2022

4.0

Pros

LiquidPlanner assists in supervising the work, measures, behavior and ensures to cover all the bases. LiquidPlanner is very easy to use and it presents augmented progression suppleness, custom templates, and computerization.

Cons

The billing pattern of Liquid Planner is weird and needs to change. The search function built inside the tool is very limited in its features as well.

### "Great for Shared Teams"

March 8, 2017

5.0

We use because we have a lot shared team members across many projects that are managed by multiple project managers. The priority package really lets us schedule out the work in an organized fashion. Most of the users can just look at the My Work tab and figure out what they are supposed to do. This is the ONLY program that gives us this option. Trust me, we looked.

Pros

Easy of schedule multiple people across multiple projects. The dashboards are also good, but we run out of widgets fast.

Cons

Would be good to add attributes to the client or project level. For example, we want to make a whole project billable or all projects from a client billable.

### "An easy project management tool"

August 14, 2018

Pros

The layout is open and easy to interpret. I like how simple it is to see my total hours and timesheet too.

Cons

When there are a lot of employees and tasks, it can be annoying to scroll through the interface and find what you are looking for. Sometimes the way things are organized bothers me.

This keeps our firms client tasks easy to find and easy to integrate into our billing system.

Pros

I like this product most because it lets our firm share notes and comments about each client and allows us to organize our workload for ease of daily and monthly priority.

Cons

I would like a quicker tab to view my calendar. As of right now, I have to go to a tab to find the link to calendar.

It’s a great way to talk to a group in a company about projects and love how you can drop in samples for all to see and approve.

Pros

Can see all the projects my group is working on and easily share items as well as send messages to one another to keep track of projects.

Cons

Finding your way through projects or my work can be difficult. Home screen seems to not update with all group chat.

Pros

The software is easy to use, organized, and helps me know what my day and week are going to look like. It also provides helpful analytics when gauging profitability of clients.

Depending on how big your company is and how much data is in there, it can take a few seconds longer to load.

### "Good Project Management Software for the Right Company"

March 8, 2017

4.0

LiquidPlanner is a fully featured Project Management software. It has made robust gains in analytics and dashboard reporting in the last few releases which when used in tandem with custom fields can be quite useful. The biggest selling point and also the biggest difficulty (for our business model) is the adaptive scheduling which uses ranged estimates to automatically schedule resources across multiple projects. This works really well IF LiquidPlanner is up to date, and IF everyone is a full time resource. Using it with contractors who have limited or variable availability has been a little tough since there is no way to model this across time. There is a setting to adjust availability by day of week, but as a reoccurring standard (as in, someone always only has 4 hours on Friday). User adoption is really key to getting the full value of the software - more than with other products in my experience. It doesn't stand alone like an MS Project, so it is not necessarily great for external, client-facing uses. There are portals to bring external team members in, but there has been less advance on that front than in the dashboards/analytics in recent releases. It does have a robust commenting feature which is often more convenient than emailing since it keeps all of that conversation with the task, hours, estimates, etc in one place. The team at LiquidPlanner is extremely responsive, though. They take in suggestions and actually act on them. They respond to support requests quickly and thoroughly. It is a very high standard of customer service on that front. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the product to someone looking for a well-supported, innovative project management solution for teams that work only internally and with full time resources.

### "Liquid Planner is Amazing"

August 14, 2018

5.0

My overall experience with Liquid Planner has been Great! I rely on it to help me stay on track and make sure that I complete my assigned tasks!

Pros

This software is very user friendly. Liquid Planner is the best tool that we currently have for our employees to keep on track with tasks and new assignments that are to be completed. Since using Liquid Planner, I have been able to stay ahead of assignments and complete them ahead of schedule.

Cons

The one thing that I would change about Liquid Planner is the Projects tab. I feel that when you go into this tab it is a lot of information that is needed and very helpful but it needs to be more organized. This one tab could be more organized and easier to follow.

### "Not for the startup"

January 27, 2016

2.0

It's a bit of a bait and switch. You see a $29 price and think no problem. What you don't get until you've invested (wasted) time evaluating is that its' really a minimum of 10 seats and you have to pay upfront a year subscription and oh by the way you really need the $39 package to do what you need. So now it looks like a $5K subscription that you are going to commit to after a 2 wk part time trial... sorry its just not that compelling. For that price I can pay maintenance on two more seats of Solidworks and I'm sure of what that gets me.
