Many other comparable products with better customer service and functionality Pros Very versatile software, unfortunately, functiomality lacking and glitchy billing with terrible customer service Cons Supposed to be a 7 day free trial! Not true. 10 minutes after I installed software, tried to print a simple document-was prompted to pay $99 in order to print. At this point, they had me-I paid so that I could print. The kicker is-When I tried to print again, It prompted me for payment again. Thinking the first payment failed I ok'd the next payment. Come to find out, this time they charged me $245! And what's even better-I still could not print!! System prompted me for another payment! I immediately Uninstalled and reached out to customer service and have gotten the same one-around response that other users describe. I have disputed charges with my CC. Academic Primary/Secondary Education Used the software for: 1-2 years ### "Better grafics for daily classes " February 9, 2021 5.0 Customization is great, giving you a broad settings to most figures and lines and this is the greatest capability to produce a professional result, managing line colors, thick, form, arrow ends etc. Pros Hundreds of figures ready to be deploy in a vector-based style help me to use LaTeX editors for figure insertion. Electronic circuits have been the fastest and more balanced result. Cons The Greek alphabet does not look great, therefore I use a secondary software for text inside the figures that contains it. Pros This software is very easy to use. Very user-friendly with lots of options. Cons Trying to scale the drawing is sometimes confusing. Would prefer the option of rescaling as you draw. It looks good, but keeps crashing. Cons It crashed constantly, and I completely wasted about 5 hours trying to get an important document score I gave up. I’ve been trying since to get a refund, and they are doing their best to deny me. None Design Used the software for: 6-12 months ### "An excellent plan, graphic, illustration software" January 8, 2020 5.0 I was quite happy to use the software as it allowed me to: - build all kinds illustrations to help present ideas and concepts, - and make illustrations quickly and also nice looking. Pros The software is simple to use, has many export options and is very helpful to build quickly nice looking illustrations. A web app has just been released. I mainly use the desktop software, but a web edition is now available and features are being added to have the same feature level. Both web and desktop software can share the same files in the cloud. Cons There is not much to dislike. If one feels a feature is missing, a simple email to the support team to make a suggestion will be well received. Review Source Caylin T. Pros I really enjoyed the pre built templates and the selection that comes with it. I like how easy it is to change and adapt them to what I need them for. I also like how professional the end product turns out, even for an amateur. Cons The most difficult thing about this software is the learning curve that comes with it. When I first started to use the product, I found the layout and lack of guidance to be very frustrating. Once I started to use it, I did become more familiar. Review Source JM John M. I'm ot sure myself that I would be that good or quick - but I know it can do roughly what I want quite nicely. Pros There is one amazing kind of Mind Map - and that is the 'Tube Map' or 'Subway Map' chart. This concept has already been richly used in witty and interesting ways by many graphic designers, but in my constant research, with students, to map the vagaries of linguistic structures, there is no better concept - unless one developed a 'quasi night sky' product with ersatz planets etc. The eloquence of the concept lies in the diagram having simultaneously an explicit duality (relationship between entities; mirroring of equivalent real-world entities) and its potentially possessing wider references (idea of a city transport system). Cons The rest was relatively ordinary. Smart Draw - again slow to break new ground - is the main challenger here. Cons The learning to use the software is the challenge I faced. So many features and some times bit confusing to work on simple diagrams. Pros It has a lot of templates that are easy to organise and use. You can literally learn how it works in minutes and start producing content. It also integrates well into other stuff I use like PowerPoint and other Wondershare products. Cons It'd be nice if I was able to use it directly from other software like a plug in. July 20, 2018 5.0 Pros If you are a teacher and like to integrate IT into your work, then Edraw Max is simply the best of friends. There are many templates to help you out, all highly customizable. In a couple of minutes you can have the desired mind map, diagram, presentation, etc. And this is due to the loads of basic shapes, icons, symbols, clip art, backgrounds, or text boxes that you can drag and drop. What is also worth mentioning is that Edraw is easy to use and very intuitive! The software interface features a sober Microsoft's ribbon bar, which obviously brings familiarity, while the library objects are nice and colorful. And, not in the least, your work can be exported to various formats (pdf, jpeg, png, word, excel, etc.). Cons I haven't found any weaknesses so far. The price may seem a bit high but it's anyway much more acceptable than the one asked by famous competitors. Review Source rH rodrigo H.
