The log system within Iguana makes it easy for us to resolve most issues when testing an interface. The support is also exceptional which is critical in this healthcare space. Pros I like the UI and the log system they have in place. It help me with my efficiency in diagnosing errors an HL7 message. The support is also important to mention because their team is very responsive and quick to assist. Cons I had issues with how it handles SFTP connectivity and the error log not being to clear, but that has been resolved in recent updates. Especially under heavy load. According to the creators of the Iguana the lua language was chosen as the one which does not have to be updated a lot over long time. Instead they offer updating Iguana. Well done. Pros Fast pace of writing integration business logic. You can skip all of the programming good practices and make the sales team happy to meet the dates they offered to the customers. We are on Iguana 6.2, but are interested in moving to Iguana X. Pros The support we get. While we may have problems figuring things out with Lua, we can always contact support and get the help we need. Thanks again. Cons Lua, but that is just because I have no history in it. Syntax is one thing. Knowing what you need to look for to accomplish a task is another. Switched from [RHAPSODY CRM](https://www.capterra.com/p/217806/RHAPSODY-CRM/) This was actually Oracle Health Sciences Integration Engine, which was just a re-branding of Rhapsody sold at one point by Oracle. Rhapsody was too expensive and when Oracle stopped support, we had no choice but to find an alternative. Iguana was slightly cheaper than Mirth. The product is stable and handles my customer needs quite well. I think that moving to IguanaX will make thing even better. Treating shared lua files as Libraries makes sense however how to do it is somewhat awkward. I.e. building it in one component, then making it a library and setting up a new repository, etc. Providing a separate "Library" component would make more sense. Pros IguanaX looks much better than version 6. I am liking it a lot Cons I really dislike the old &.vmd and dependence upon Chameleon. Too complex and not user friendly. There are examples out there but not examples I tend to need.
