### "The forms have been a huge advantage for our business."

Professional, legible results.

Pros

I like the flexibility of the forms creation process and workflow. Forms give us a competitive advantage over our customers by delivering professional results at the end of a job.

Cons

I don't like how the performance is hindered by adding multiple table rows when working from the app. I'm not satisfied with the text in the completed / printable copy. I don't like not having a cloud sync option to verify that all of the form data stays secure. If the app freezes or the form doesn't completely sync, then the data is lost. We have had several instances of lost forms or form data due to sync issues.

They respond quickly when there is an issue, plue they keep you informed when there is an update or an outage.

Pros

It is easy to use for all our shop employees. It offers the option for geofencing for individual employees and it integrates with Foundation software which is key.

Cons

WorkMax does not offer clock in & out options for PTO, which makes it more time consuming when check employee time.

Great support team, very helpful and responsive. The integration with Foundation Software wasn't as tight as we originally thought. Didn't quite fit our needs as we track items very detailed at the foreman level associating employee time to cost codes.

Pros

I liked the mobile app; it was very easy for the field workers to complete their timecards every day.

Cons

The web interface for foreman/office is not very user friendly and tricky for manipulating time entries to associate to cost codes. Didn't have a good solution for tracking time that was equipment chargeable (service codes), as it was more of a band-aid fix then true solution.

Overall our experience has been very positive. it has cut down on payroll processing and eliminated errors. WorkMax has also created substantial saving for the company be minimizing buddy punching and helping to verify who is actually on site.

Pros

The user interface has allowed our field personal to adapt to the platform quickly. The GPS location is accurate and allows supervisors to see where employees are when the clock in and out.

Cons

For some there was a learning curve plus some syncing issues with keeping job numbers and cost codes up to date.

Best product we've used for timekeeping. Tech support not great and requires someone on team to have above average tech skills to manage.

Pros

Geofence accuracy with clock in / clock out automatic verification(with photos) make this product incredibly useful for companies with many remote locations.

Cons

Bugs sometimes take a while to resolve. Lots of duct-tape needed to keep devices working all the time.

Pros

I really enjoyed the hands-on experience from the team. We were introduced to managers, supporting staff and our trainer from day one. Being able to communicate through Kantata was a blessing. Once I learned to use the @ before a name it worked every time. haha The Geo fence is such a great feature and the photos when clocking in and out help to hold everyone accountable. The ease of working in foundation soft with this product as made payroll errors practically disappear! It is nice to not have to edit so much.

Cons

The payroll report and in ability to customize or edit the PDF.

### "Not what they promise BEWARE!!!!"

We're 2+ years behind on PROMISED DEVELOPMENT, constant breaks that take MONTHS to get a fix for and you WILL have an inaccurate payroll if you trust this system!

Pros

I like the concept and what they promised, just not what they deliver.

Cons

IT will break your payroll. Auto lunch breaks, Time Zones do not work, auto midnight is broken so MOST of the automated calculation functions designed to make payroll easier actually it just hides the issues and doesn't work properly. Expect you will be required to manually verify EVERY payroll aspect.

Very positive - responsive, empathetic, and the software works with our two key systems.

Pros

Ease of use with exporting records to our payroll partner (Paychex) and our accounting system (Sage100Contractor). I also appreciate the responsiveness if we have a hiccup and that WorkMax keeps looking for ways to enhance the product.

Cons

We aren't able copy records. For example, when someone takes more than a day off, we have to enter individual time records. Would also like to be able to export incentive pay and are unable to do that unless we enter a time record.

### "WorkMax Review 2 Years After Implementation"

Overall, amazing application. There are some technical complications here and there with complicated configurations, bot an overall amazing solution to remote clock-in at a reasonable price.

Pros

No long and complex user names and passwords, only a simple 4 digit code and you're in! Also, not device specific, users can borrow and co-workers phone if theres is unavailable

Cons

Do not love how when you batch/process timecards, the GPS geo-tags and photos are no longer available, you must un-batch to see those details.

Not going to lie...it was a learning curve at first. BUT, now that I understand the program and know how to use, I've really started to enjoy it.

Pros

It has many benefits but the biggest one is the ability and ease for leads/foreman to approve field crew time. As payroll admin, I've cut my approval time in half, and will likely cut down further once everyone is more experience on approving others time.

Cons

There are still some items that I think could increase in functionality: 1. Exporting batched records. 2. Import click in/out to Foundation, not just total time for the day. 3. Ability to add timecards for multiple days at a time, instead of separate ones.

EXCELLENT!! very helpful tool and team. I have been using this tool for my union team time management and have not started to create forms to better allow for communication from the field to PMs.

Pros

Time Management and groups are very helpful.

Cons

Ability to manage overtime if you have two bound times. For example, if you work before 6am that is OT and after 4pm...tools does not have an easy to manage that. ALL times have to be touched and split...not good.

I love it. We have move away from many paper forms to WM forms and that created an user friendly app, accountability, and easy to process time.

Pros

That most of my managers mistake went away with auto sync, correct GO Fence, easy to use. Being able to approve time in a timely matter made a difference and to be able to integrate Foundation with WorkMax for less manual errors.

Cons

That the forms are not auto sync like the time. Sometimes employees forget to sync the forms and it takes time to receive the forms when you need them the most.

Experience is good. Great product - would recommend to anyone. Easy to learn for both employees and managers.

Pros

Easy to use for employees, easy to edit time when necessary for managers, notes are great, and reports are good.

Cons

Wish the Labor Hours Report listed incomplete time punches so we can see all hours for each employee - it only prints complete time records. We use this report weekly to see if when employees are reaching the OT threshold.

Good overall, but I wish there was more functionality around communications to the field, guardrails for compliance and reporting.

Pros

Real-Time time entry, cloud-based app to be used anywhere, simple code access with picture taking for identification.

Cons

Creating and using Forms is a bit clunky, not being able to block CA employees from clocking in early for lunch, not being able to report on fields from Forms using Insights license.

Generally simple for office staff and field staff to use.

Having to edit projects to include the other state payroll rules after they have been imported. Should be something that happens based on a setting in the job/project.

This program is great until you have questions or they have updated the program. If you don't purchase their yearly support and certain things aren't working for you, they will not help you!! They won't even talk to you if you don't give them a credit card on the spot. This is terrible customer service. If I were to work with my clients on those terms, we would be out of business! They don't tell you that you have to buy the yearly support to function right. Our GPS has stopped working all together and I have an employee who's phone isn't working at all with the program after I have done everything I was trained to do to activate. Here is the response I was given over email: The reason GPS is not working is due to a change on the providers side. Because the provider we used for GPS Maps changed their code on how information is delivered, we had to rebuild our software to meet their standard. If your support is current you have the ability to update the software and it would be working again with no additional charge above the yearly support plan. However, since you are out of support, even if it is broken there is nothing we can do to resolve it. WOW!! WE spent a lot of money to purchase this program. Apple doesn't make me pay for updates, my computer company doesn't make me pay for updates. This is absolutely ridiculous to me. Save your money and look for a company that is willing to support their program without an extra fee.

Easy to use and change back and forth from job to job.

Cons

The support is horrible is you don't buy their yearly support.

The software is easy to use. The customer support is helpful and knowledgeable. The training team made the process go fast.

Pros

I was a long time user of About Time time keeping software, and switched to WorkMax last year. I like that WorkMax is web based. It is very similar to About Time, so my switch was relatively easy. They spent several sessions with me and walked me thru all the features and got all of my information from Quickbooks setup. It is easy for my field crews to move between jobs and select tasks for for those jobs. Their time is continuously sent to WorkMax, so I always know what is being done.

Cons

I wish when jobs are imported from Quickbooks, that WorkMax would only import the tasks that were used to build the job in Quickbooks, so that job costing was maintained better between the 2 programs. There are work arounds, which I use that make this happen, but it adds an additional step.

Because of my long relationship with About Time Technologies.

Accurate time accountability. Easier job costing. Ease of exporting into our sytem

Pros

Integration with our main software was easy. Helps keep accurate time for employees. Holds employee's accountable. Easy to access help on the phone.

Cons

Can be confusing if not trained properly. Employees have to remember to "Sync" their time

Reason for choosing WorkMax

It was a mutual department decision

Overall this has been the prefect fit for what we needed to reduce time spent on data entry.

Pros

The integration capabilities with Sage300

Cons

We would like to see a function that can track changes to time records and the ability to undo them.
