Overall, we have had relatively good experience with WorkMax, although there are some glitches that make it hard to use at times.

Pros

Receive time daily, have a record of he time vs paper time cards, Basic user functions are relatively simple and easy to use.

Cons

Clock in & Clock out do not always show up, Sometimes people struggle to clock in due to app not working, rounding feature should round daily time overall, not by punch time, Sync function causes problems at times, when there is an update app sometimes goes down and needs a work around.

### "High potential, poor performance"

Our experience has noticeably degraded since the Foundation Software acquisition. While the WorkMax team has great team members, we continue to experience a lack of transparency and access to critical information, which has strained the partnership.

Pros

The WorkMax product is straightforward and easy to learn, requiring only a short onboarding period. The clock‑in and clock‑out process is very simple and can be completed in just a few clicks. Additionally, the WorkMax mobile app syncs quickly, ensuring timely and accurate data updates.

Cons

We have experienced severely degraded performance on WorkMax web for several years. Each page takes an unusually long time to load, with the Insight module being particularly affected. Additionally, Custom Reports within the Insight module cannot be run for a range longer than two weeks, which creates major challenges during audits when broader reporting is required. We are also seeing ongoing issues with release management. Recent releases have been poorly timed, have introduced quality issues, and have resulted in frequent outages. These disruptions significantly impact productivity and create additional strain on our internal teams.

Overall our experience has been very positive. it has cut down on payroll processing and eliminated errors. WorkMax has also created substantial saving for the company be minimizing buddy punching and helping to verify who is actually on site.

Pros

The user interface has allowed our field personal to adapt to the platform quickly. The GPS location is accurate and allows supervisors to see where employees are when the clock in and out.

Cons

For some there was a learning curve plus some syncing issues with keeping job numbers and cost codes up to date.

Overall, the experience has been a positive experience. There will always be a learning curve when using a new product, but it wasn't too steep and has been easily managed.

Pros

Workmax is very user friendly, both in the field and office. It can be a daunting transition after using paper timecards, but once the program is learned it is a breeze. It helps in the day-to-day management of employees and manpower with location easily accessed.

Cons

There have been issues with employee's apps not syncing properly. The app doesn't seem to like to run in the background for some individuals, crashing frequently if it isn't closed out entirely. From an office perspective, it gets troublesome when people are using the clock in feature as well as getting time turned in on a digital timesheet by a foreman due to switching jobsites. If the time overlaps, the app will override one. There have been complaints about the inability to go back and look at time with daily timesheets once it is submitted.

They respond quickly when there is an issue, plue they keep you informed when there is an update or an outage.

Pros

It is easy to use for all our shop employees. It offers the option for geofencing for individual employees and it integrates with Foundation software which is key.

Cons

WorkMax does not offer clock in & out options for PTO, which makes it more time consuming when check employee time.

WorkMax has always been easy to work with and the customer service is great. We have had WorkMax for years and they have always been very helpful with any adjustments that need to be made for it work with our system.

Pros

Ease of use for the field employees to enter their time. The app on their phone makes it helpful when needed.

Cons

Employees forget to enter their time but that is not the software's fault unless there could be some sort of reminder set up?

### "Make the switch to Workmax!"

Our overall experience has been great! We have been with Workmax for quite a few years now and have seen the innovations they have come out with! Great job guys.

Pros

Workmax is so easy for our guys to use. We used to use paper timecards, and it was tedious entering all of the information into our system. Workmax speaks with our accounting software no problem and is uploaded seamlessly. We have had help creating coding to follow certain guidelines of what information we want Workmax to pull for us. Being in construction, we have many cost codes in a project and ensuring the correct data is pulled over is huge! Also setting up permissions is fantastic, we can have projects pulled over into Workmax and allow the guys permission to see them when we start the project rather than having them see everything we see, they see what we need them to see. You can set up multiple departments and have their permissions unique to that department. You can also set up geofences to ensure your crews are clocking in on site. There are so many more features, I would highly recommend Workmax. We haven't had many issues using the software and when we did encounter a problem, the support team was there to help and walk us through!

Cons

The only thing I can say here is that Workmax used to have a chat feature that was very handy when you needed to ask a quick question. That has since been taken away, it would be nice to see that come back! But again, the support team is great at getting back to you.

My over all experience has been okay with the WorkMax. I have worked on larger time and attendance systems, so I have used more robust systems. There have been many positive enhancements, hopefully they will continue to introduce more functionality to the system so it will become a more robust T&T system

Pros

The system is easy to log into and move around in. I like that you can log in from your phone or tablet.

Cons

The system can be cumbersome when you have a lot of jobs. This causes the employee to scroll sometimes endlessly to find the job number they need. I wish the system would come out with an automatic percentage allocation feature, hopefully this will be a feature for future enhancements

So far so good. We have a lot of turnover sometimes and workmax has worked well making sure all employees are able to be clocked in. I feel like it has a lot of features we don't use. We need to utilize it more.

Pros

WorkMax is easy to follow. Our Project Management team and field team do not have any problems using it.

Cons

Sometimes it lags or the connection is down. I personally dont like that the pin number is the last four of someones social. I know it can be changed, its just automatically that for our company though. Sometimes we have duplicates and that can get messy. It is easy to just go in and change though.

I love it. We have move away from many paper forms to WM forms and that created an user friendly app, accountability, and easy to process time.

Pros

That most of my managers mistake went away with auto sync, correct GO Fence, easy to use. Being able to approve time in a timely matter made a difference and to be able to integrate Foundation with WorkMax for less manual errors.

Cons

That the forms are not auto sync like the time. Sometimes employees forget to sync the forms and it takes time to receive the forms when you need them the most.

We are overall pleased with WorkMax's ease of use and overall utility. We needed a system that can work even without a cell phone signal and this one does.

Pros

I like that our timeclocks refresh/sync without employees having to manually sync. The user interface is very clear and intuitive.

Cons

Having to hit multiple buttons including forced refresh of the webpage to save any of my changes in the Time Editor.

### "Amazing Time Software with a few hiccups."

Best product we've used for timekeeping. Tech support not great and requires someone on team to have above average tech skills to manage.

Pros

Geofence accuracy with clock in / clock out automatic verification(with photos) make this product incredibly useful for companies with many remote locations.

Cons

Bugs sometimes take a while to resolve. Lots of duct-tape needed to keep devices working all the time.

Experience is good. Great product - would recommend to anyone. Easy to learn for both employees and managers.

Pros

Easy to use for employees, easy to edit time when necessary for managers, notes are great, and reports are good.

Cons

Wish the Labor Hours Report listed incomplete time punches so we can see all hours for each employee - it only prints complete time records. We use this report weekly to see if when employees are reaching the OT threshold.

I really enjoyed the hands-on experience from the team. We were introduced to managers, supporting staff and our trainer from day one. Being able to communicate through Kantata was a blessing. Once I learned to use the @ before a name it worked every time. haha The Geo fence is such a great feature and the photos when clocking in and out help to hold everyone accountable. The ease of working in foundation soft with this product as made payroll errors practically disappear! It is nice to not have to edit so much.

The payroll report and in ability to customize or edit the PDF.

EXCELLENT!! very helpful tool and team. I have been using this tool for my union team time management and have not started to create forms to better allow for communication from the field to PMs.

Time Management and groups are very helpful.

Cons

Ability to manage overtime if you have two bound times. For example, if you work before 6am that is OT and after 4pm...tools does not have an easy to manage that. ALL times have to be touched and split...not good.

good we are happy with product, there issues that we have but for the most part we get resolution, but in most cases we just move on and find a work around.

Pros

The desktop side is very easy. We have a huge issues with the location and getting orange globes- the field said they don't tune off location, and customer service was kind of sketchy about how an orange globe actually appears.

Cons

Cost is too expensive, and support is sometimes difficult.
