Overall okay, still new to application. Set up and Customer service when issues or questions arise has been very helpful.

Pros

Workmax has been easy to set up on employee devices. Thus far employees have been able to access the application no problem.

Cons

The app closes sometimes when employees are in the middle of tracking time. This causes much frustration especially considering we just started using this app.

Very good, the install team and support people have been great. My client success person has been very responsive and gets me the answers I need.

Pros

It was easy to use. The install was fast and the team working with me was very knowledgeable.

Cons

I think the worst part is that my foremen have to use their phones when doing the team timesheets. They all have Windows based tablets that they do everything on but then have to go to a different device when doing time.

Pros

We were using About Time and switch to Workmax with no problems. The field workers grasped on right away. Simple process.

Cons

That I have to sign out for it to reset when I delete a clock in/out.

Overall Workmox app gives us ability to track what we need to track and it integrates with our Payroll software well

Pros

I receive a call or email every quarter from someone at WorkMax checking in to see how things are going. Sounds like they are actively looking for ways to improve and keep customers happy.

Cons

Every now and then some employee clocks in to a wrong job or claims that couldn't clock in because of whatever reason. Typically it is caused by user error.

It's okay. It still needs some improvement. I still mostly just batch, process and close weekly transactions

Easy to use and integrates well with my accounting software. Easy to setup new phones and easy to train

Cons

No stopping overlapping entries in live time. Forms/assets not worth the price. Still rounding issues

Average, but not impressive. I feel that our system setup may need to be reviewed to make sure that we are using it to its fullest extent.

Pros

Mobile time entry to eliminate paper timecards and data entry.

Cons

Customer Service reps have not been extremely knowledgeable, and the time it takes to trouble shoot while he/she consults with supervisors is very frustrating.

Good overall, but I wish there was more functionality around communications to the field, guardrails for compliance and reporting.

Pros

Real-Time time entry, cloud-based app to be used anywhere, simple code access with picture taking for identification.

Cons

Creating and using Forms is a bit clunky, not being able to block CA employees from clocking in early for lunch, not being able to report on fields from Forms using Insights license.

We really need an integrated scheduling module. We have had to keep our old system as well for now since there is no scheduler.

Pros

Generally simple for office staff and field staff to use.

Cons

Having to edit projects to include the other state payroll rules after they have been imported. Should be something that happens based on a setting in the job/project.

Pros

WorkMax TIME’s accounting software integration was a standout feature. It streamlined our processes and allowed seamless communication between time tracking and accounting systems.

Cons

Although I appreciate many aspects of WorkMax TIME, my sole concern lies in the inability to approve time within the app. It’s a crucial feature for efficient workflow management, and I hope they address this limitation soon

I like its ease of use from the desktop side. Customizing the way time is recorded is also a nice feature.

Cons

It's intuitive to an extent, but it takes tech support to implement changes beyond the obvious.

I really like that when I need something I can always reach out to AboutTime and talk to the same few people. They seem to have great employee retention, and that says a lot about their company.

Pros

The software on the phone is very easy for the end user to learn. It's very basic and that is a good thing.

Cons

The admin side was a bit more difficult to user. The initial set up on cell phones requires inputting a static IP address and user name and password. Reviewing timesheets is a tedious task. The way ours was set up, you would have to go in and edit each "in and out" because our people would forget to clock in at the beginning of the day or out at the end. I think it could've been set up a little better but our users didn't make things any easier on us.

It was user friendly and cost effective for us. We were shown a great demo and that is what sold us.

### "A Great Solution to Tracking Time"

One of the biggest benefits of WorkMax is capturing the actual clock in and clock out of our employees. We are no longer filling out paper time sheets. Accurate time reporting has saved our company money.

Pros

This software is easy to use. You do not have to be a software guru to get your time entered or run reports. As an administrator it is easy to make needed edits and changes. The complete payroll process is easily handled and maintained from the control center. This program works nicely with Sage 300 Construction & Real Estate. One of my favorite features is the facial recognition. The customer support is absolutely amazing with WorkMax. Our onboarding process was handled by \[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN\]. He has been so wonderful to work with. \[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN\] answered all of my questions and spent the time needed for me to be able to use the program on my own. \[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN\] is our support specialist. She has also been amazing to work with. \[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN\] is always patient when helping me with and issues that have come up. In my opinion, the Customer Support team is the best I have ever worked with. They are responsive, easy to get in touch with and work to solve the issues as quickly as possible. It is the Customer Support team that makes WorkMax the best time tracking software out there.

Cons

So far there is not anything I dislike about the software.

### "The time saved when completing payroll is greatly reduced!"

We save time and money because of the software. All documents are clear and easy to read, allowing any/all entries made into accounting more accurate.

Pros

There are so many things that I like about the software, it's really hard to say. If I have to choose, I would say the ability to track time and location for each job our team is on. With GPS location, we know where everyone is. This is really useful when receiving a service call. We simply check and see who may be the closest to the location, therefore saving our customers from having to wait an extended period of time for their repairs. I also can't say enough about their customer service team. They are right on top of any issues that we may have. All you have to do is call or email, and they will take care of your issues straight away.

Cons

The only issue I can think of is with our trucks/mileage (which they are working on for me). When I enter charges for mileage, I need to know which of our trucks was used. The mileage shows up on the time sheets, but the truck does not. I then have to go back into the closed batches to see what was driven by that person. Fortunately, most of the team have assigned trucks, so this is not a huge issue.

### "Increased Productivity and Reduced Errors"

Our overall experience has been great. We have certainly had better control over our labor since incorporating WorkMax into our jobsites.

Pros

WorkMax has allowed everyone from Sr. Management and HR to Field Managers to review labor in real time along with allowing our employees to transfer from one job to another seamlessly without additional phone calls, travel or record keeping. Our corporate payroll department has noticed this the most as it has cut down on processing time by 30%. The system can handle complex payment rules and completely removes the human error after each job is set up properly.

Cons

The only issue we've truly had is an internal one. Our IT department wants control over clock in devices. This limits the devices ability to update which has caused problems with processing at times. Typically once the issue arises we have to get with our IT department to update the device and then the update solves the issue. This has happened roughly once a year.

### "WorkMax Time Sheets Web Interface and App"

WorkMax's implementation and support teams are phenomenal, and the software engineers are close by if the support team needs additional answers. While there is no program that will ever cover 100% of a company's needs, as each one will have their own unique processes, WorkMax comes as close as we've ever found.

Pros

The app is fairly simple to use once you are trained on it. They are constantly updating and adding to the Time Sheets portion of the app and the support team and engineers listen and provide feedback on any issues or customizations we are seeking. The web interface will sync our new employees, jobs, cost codes directly from our accounting software (Sage 100 Contractor) into the online platform and to the foremen's app, eliminating the need for double entry. After processing the payroll information online that was synced from our foremen's phones or devices, WorkMax uploads directly into the Daily Payroll module of Sage 100 Contractor. It will track any differentials in pay, cost coding, or many other parameters you may have. It's highly customizable.

Cons

The Time Sheets portion of the app and web interface is a newer product. WorkMax started as a "clock in/clock out" program but that platform does not work well for our employees and our workflow (nothing to do with WorkMax). The app itself seems to be a work-in-progress, but is still a much better option than entering time cards by hand. There are a few of the settings on the app that I would like to have options to customize to our processes, but this is a complaint about the user interface, not about the collection of payroll data.

Pros

Time tracking was pretty easy, the crew was used to it. Never wanted to change and have to get everyone used to a new system.

Cons

The reporting and form functions were cumbersome and seemed to take forever. Connecting took a long time and nothing ever seemed to be a quick click of a button

We have had a wonderful experience using WorkMax time. It has allowed us to cut down on the processing time for payroll. It has also allowed us to produce more accurate reports for things such as job costing.

Pros

Overall, I love working with everything WorkMax Time offers. our ability to track clock in locations have been crucial to making sure employees are using the correct job numbers. We have also benefited tremendously from the clock in photos. This has eliminated the issue of employees clocking in their friend when they are late or miss a day of work. As the employee who process time, I have been most thankful for the speed and efficiency I can complete our payroll with weekly.

Cons

The software can be a little overwhelming when you first begin the program. This is mainly because there are so many features and so much to learn to use at once but with time this issue resolves itself.

We wish we would have known about WorkMax earlier. It has been a big help to the guys in the field and processing in the office too.

Pros

Easy to implement the program, easy for the users, easy to process time. It has already proved to be a time savings on the administration side. It yields better accuracy of job/time data too.

Cons

We assumed we would be able to "see" where all of our employees are clocked in (at any moment in time) due to their GPS locations. This was a feature that similar products had and we thought we would have that with WorkMax too.

Reason for choosing WorkMax

Integration with Foundation was the primary reason but price was also an important consideration.

I like that I can manipulate times with the advocate button. I can add/delete time at the beginning or end and then advocate the craft as needed.

Cons

No undo button for mass transfers. I did a select all and changed everything-only once!

The one thing I did like I can see what other team members have been working on through out the week or month.

Cons

It does not have a desk top app to see if your still clocked in, Not user friendly when trying to either closk in from one project to the next. Time consuming to allocate time at the end of the week.
