### "Pretty easy to use"

May 27, 2026

5.0

Shopify has overall been a good fit for me. I'm still learning how to use it, but the payments and banking information have been easy to navigate.

Pros

I like Shopify because even the more affordable option (the basic level) offers a variety of options, and you're able to customize it to what you need. I also like that you can add in various apps (like a calendar app) to show events. I think it's pretty easy to use.

Cons

I wish that the free options for templates were a bit more robust. There are not many options to choose from.

I switched from Pattern (by Etsy) because I needed something that had more features. Pattern was nice because it integrated directly with my Etsy website, but it didn't have a lot to offer. (also note that Etsy Pattern is not listed as an option here)

### "Easy Store Setup with Flexible Payment Options"

June 13, 2026

5.0

Overall, the experience with Shopify is smooth and reliable, especially when it comes to data management, and payment processing. It makes it easy to accept orders and handle transactions securely. The platform also offers a variety of payment options, allowing customers to check out using credit cards, digital wallets, and other methods, which helps improve convenience and sales.

Pros

What I liked most about Shopify is its strong ease of use, making it simple to set up and manage an online store even for beginners. The platform also offers helpful customer support, with guides and assistance available when issues come up. Overall, it provides good value for money because it includes many tools for building, managing, and growing an online business in one place.

Cons

the costs can add up quickly, especially with paid apps and transaction fees, which can affect value for money.

### "The Game of Shopping: Shopify And How E-Commerce Can Improve"

April 6, 2026

3.0

Overall, the experience with Shopify has been just OK, but trending more negatively the more I used it, and felt that ultimately it wasn't right for me both as a consumer and a user due to the cons, especially price, outweighing the pros. There was also little customer support and long queues.

Pros

I enjoyed the easy user interface, combined marketplace selling feature such as via social media, through third party apps, or even in person/point of sale, as well as the high performance levels of the app and its affiliates.

Cons

However, what I disliked about Shopify is the charges, fees, limited usage with other apps, and the "gamey" nature of the app, in that it sometimes feels more like a reward system than an ecosystem.

### "Wish I had switched from Wix years ago"

May 14, 2026

5.0

My experience has been extremely positive. I switched from Wix and immediately noticed improvements in site performance, overall usability, and the ability to grow a business. Shopify feels like a platform designed around serious eCommerce rather than trying to be a general website builder that also happens to sell products. The ecosystem is strong, the checkout process feels polished, and it gives businesses room to scale without feeling limited. The migration took effort, but looking back I wish I had switched sooner.

Pros

Shopify feels purpose-built for eCommerce. After switching from Wix, the difference in overall performance, flexibility, and ecosystem became obvious very quickly. The platform is easier to scale, the app integrations are strong, checkout feels polished, and there are far more tools available for growing a business. Customization options are excellent, and there is a large community and support network around the platform.

Cons

There can be a learning curve when first moving over, especially when dealing with themes, apps, and advanced customization. Costs can also increase as you add apps and additional features. Some functions that feel like they should be built-in sometimes require outside apps.

Switched from

### "Why Opklopper uses Shopify for D2C, B2B and hybrid commerce"

July 13, 2026

5.0

At Opklopper, we work with Shopify and Shopify Plus for ambitious D2C, B2B and hybrid commerce brands in the Netherlands and Belgium. We use Shopify for new webshop builds, redesigns, replatforming projects, migrations and ongoing webshop optimization. Our experience is that Shopify gives growing brands a reliable foundation for product management, checkout, payments, shipping, content, tracking, apps, integrations and international growth. It is especially strong when a brand wants to move away from a less flexible platform and needs a more scalable, manageable and conversion-focused commerce setup. Shopify works best when it is implemented with the right strategy. For serious brands, the value is not only in the platform itself, but in how the storefront, UX/UI, product structure, data, redirects, tracking, integrations and customer journey are set up. Overall, Shopify is one of the strongest e-commerce platforms we work with for brands that want to grow professionally online. It is a strong fit for new builds, redesigns and replatforming projects where scalability, usability, performance, conversion and ongoing optimization matter.

Pros

As an e-commerce agency and Shopify Plus Partner, Opklopper uses Shopify for professional online store builds, redesigns, replatforming projects and ongoing optimization. What we like most is that Shopify combines ease of use for merchants with the flexibility needed for serious e-commerce growth. Shopify works well for D2C, B2B and hybrid commerce brands that need a scalable platform for product management, checkout, payments, shipping, international commerce, apps, integrations, UX/UI improvements and CRO.

Cons

Shopify is not always the cheapest option, and advanced setups require proper planning. B2B logic, ERP/PIM/POS integrations, international markets, tracking, redirects, product structure and custom UX/UI should not be treated as a simple plug-and-play setup. To get the best result, Shopify needs a clear strategy, a solid implementation partner and ongoing optimization.

### "A robust e-commerce platform for managing e-commerce businesses."

June 21, 2026

5.0

We can rely on Shopify for our ecommerce requirements, particularly when it comes to secure payment alternatives and organized data administration. No matter the aspect, it is normally easy to use, though the price for the features to scale up may be discouraging for smaller businesses. During emergency scenarios, customer support could be more helpful and not always quick, which is a minor inconvenience. Overall, it is satisfactory, on the whole it is satisfactory.

Pros

Setting up and managing websites for small to mid-sized enterprises is easy using Shopify. The templates are useful and help save time for our admin team when we're building sites for our customers. Payment integration has been an ace aspect and various payment methods, such as credit cards and PayPal are pre-built, which means that these get configured by default. Data is well structured in the dashboard, and our department can easily and efficiently track their transactions.

Cons

If extra plugins are required it is expensive to cover the monthly charges and sometimes certain basic features could be included without an additional charge. They do reply to messages quickly but I have noticed delays during busy periods which I don't think is great when having problems with payments or data. When it comes to exporting large datasets, it takes extra care to prevent duplicates, this could be streamlined.

### "The formidable e-commerce infrastructure"

July 6, 2026

5.0

Pros

Shopify is the Rolls-Royce of platforms for deploying sales funnels quickly. The simplicity with which tracking pixels (Meta, Google, TikTok) can be connected and retargeting campaigns launched is a major asset for my work.

Cons

Reliance on the app ecosystem quickly becomes expensive. advanced source code customization requires mastering its proprietary language (Liquid).

Pros

When we launched our apparel and merchandise store themed around our flagship shows, Shopify was the obvious choice. The admin interface is clean, highly robust, and the built-in marketing reports allow me to track the performance of our advertising campaigns in real time.

Cons

In addition to the monthly fee, Shopify takes transaction fees on every sale unless you use their proprietary payment gateway.

My overall experience with Shopify has been very good. I use it frequently and make a lot of sales through it.

Cons

What I like least about Shopify is how it requires a monthly subscription fee and the transaction fees.

### "The Convenience Trap: Balancing Scalability and Costs in Shopify"

June 16, 2026

5.0

Overall, using Shopify feels like having a high-powered engine that’s already built for you. It’s incredibly reliable; you don’t have to worry about server crashes, security patches, or the technical headache of PCI compliance. It just works, which is a massive relief for anyone who’d rather spend time marketing their brand than debugging code.

Pros

Honestly, the best part of Shopify is how it levels the playing field for anyone who wants to sell online. You don’t need to be a developer to get a professional, beautiful storefront running in an afternoon. I love how everything is just baked in—payments, shipping, inventory, and marketing tools all talk to each other seamlessly.

Cons

The biggest frustration is definitely the "app creep" and the way costs can quietly spiral out of control. It starts out feeling affordable, but as soon as you need basic features like advanced filtering, loyalty programs, or custom checkout options, you’re suddenly hit with a dozen different monthly app subscriptions.

### "Easiest way to start an e-commerce business."

April 11, 2026

5.0

It was a awesome experience.we were up and running in just 2 hours .the domain integration and payment processing all happened quickly .

Pros

Shopify have irresistible offer for new users for first three months where they provide one dollar per month charges .so it's number one option for startups to choose Shopify .the user interface is simple and beginner friendly.

Cons

The Shopify payment is not available in countries like India which makes it difficult to receive payments although there are other third party payment providers like paypal ,razorpay and others which integrate very well .but I hope that Shopify payment will be made available in india as well .

### "Strong eCommerce platform with reliable NetSuite integration"

April 24, 2026

5.0

Overall, our experience has been positive. Shopify handles the front-end eCommerce side really well, and with the NetSuite integration through Celigo, we’ve been able to streamline backend operations like order syncing and inventory updates. There were some initial challenges during setup and mapping, but once stabilized, it’s been quite reliable. It’s a good option if you want something scalable without building everything from scratch.

Pros

Shopify is very easy to use and quick to set up compared to other eCommerce platforms. The UI is clean, and managing products, orders, and payments is pretty straightforward. What worked really well for us is how smoothly it integrates with other systems — we’re using it with NetSuite via Celigo, and that has helped automate a lot of our order and customer data flow. It saves a lot of manual work once everything is set up properly. Also, the app ecosystem is quite strong if you need extra features.

Cons

Costs can increase quite a bit over time, especially with paid apps and transaction fees. While the basics are easy, more advanced customization isn’t very straightforward and often needs developer support. From an integration perspective, maintaining workflows via Celigo sometimes needs monitoring, especially when there are sync errors or data mismatches.

### "Easy to use store builder with a few pricey add‑ons"

April 15, 2026

4.0

Overall my experience with Shopify has been really good. I used it for a small online store and it made the whole process simple, from adding products to handling payments. It’s beginner‑friendly but still powerful enough when you want to grow. There are small annoyances like app costs and limited free customization, but nothing that stopped me from running the store. For anyone who wants to start selling online without dealing with complicated setups, Shopify works well and feels reliable.

Pros

What I like most about Shopify is how easy it is to set up a store even if you’re not super technical. I tried it for a small side project and honestly the whole setup took less time than I expected. The themes look clean and professional, and editing them is simple. Payments are smooth too, customers don’t get stuck or confused. I also like the app store because I can add features without doing coding. The dashboard is clear and I can track orders, traffic and sales without digging around.

Cons

Some apps get expensive fast, and a few features that should be basic are locked behind paid apps. Customizing themes beyond the simple stuff can get tricky unless you know Liquid or CSS. The reporting is okay but not great unless you pay for higher plans. Also sometimes the store feels a bit slow when too many apps are installed. Customer support is helpful but wait times can be long during busy hours. Not huge issues but they add up when you’re trying to run things smoothly.

### "Reliable, Scalable, and User-Friendly E-Commerce Platform"

February 22, 2026

5.0

Overall, my experience with Shopify has been very positive. The platform is reliable, easy to navigate, and well-suited for launching and scaling an online store. It offers strong design options and secure payment processing.

Pros

How intuitive and user-friendly the platform is. It allows you to launch and manage an online store quickly without needing advanced technical skills.

Cons

One of the downsides of Shopify is that costs can increase quickly as you add apps, premium themes, or advanced features. While the base platform is strong, many essential customizations require paid integrations

### "Tough to beat!"

January 5, 2026

5.0

There is no other e-comm provider platform that I would rather use. If I was told tomorrow that we were tranisitioning to another provider, then I would quit tomorrow, too.

Pros

I have used Shopify Plus for the last 3.5 years following a role that used Square. Shopify is the Rolls Royce of e-comm platforms (or maybe, Rolls Royce is the Shopify of cars?). Shopify integrates with every possible thing, has a robust app store, and is super easy to use. Their support is always on and always helpful, too.

Cons

Almost all of the reporting is great, but some of the reports/info is hard to gather. For example, Shopify support told me to use Google Analytics for site traffic data rather than the data native to Shopify.

### "E-commerce Store Creator that Y’all Need to Comprehend "

August 26, 2025

4.0

From the initial setup, it was easy to create and manage our accounting online store with the aid of Shopify.

Pros

Shopify allocates features that enables us to sell our tax and accounting services across multiple channels mainly social media. In addition, Shopify is highly scalable which offers room for processing of tons of orders. Finally, Shopify offers tools for website creation or online stores without involving website developers. Selling through Shopify eradicate need for holding inventories and it support a wide array of payment options.

Cons

I slightly dislike that Shopify lack email hosting service even though it supports website creation.

Pros

Shopify offers a great working ecommerce shop for businesses. The front end look of the site as well as the price point was also another great positive. adjusting stock levels and editing products was also very straightforward to do. The built in AI bot and other tools helps make it straightforward to build the site.

Cons

### "Shopify Has Been Amazing"

February 19, 2026

5.0

Overall, my experience with Shopify has been positive. As someone who has little to no code experience, I was able to set up my shop all by myself and configure all the integrations. I've used several other e-commerce platforms and cannot say the same about their ease of use.

Pros

Shopify is one of the easiest shop platforms I've used. Setup was very simple and they offer integrations with all of my marketing stack.

Cons

Shopify fees are probably one of my only complaints, although you pay for what you get. The only other "con" I would say is that it seems they are moving away from real-life agents and starting to use AI chatbots for inquiries, which can be frustrating at times.

Pros

We’ve been building powerful integrations for Shopify merchants. From advanced inventory systems and custom on-site widgets to fully bespoke apps and beyond. The Shopify API is outstanding, and the documentation is clear, thorough, and developer-friendly.

### "Honest Review of Shopify - Easy, Efficient and Supportive"

January 12, 2026

5.0

My overall experience with Shopify has been very positive! It's so easy to create your own e-commerce in a very short time with pre-built templates and other things! I love the customization that this app provide. I really recommend it! :)

Pros

What I like of Shopify is how user-friendly it is: the interface is very intuitive. You have a problem? There is the customer support that is going to help you in many topics. I actually used it for my own e-commerce and... I would absolutely use it again and again!

Cons

Nothing. Honestly my experience with Shopify has been very positive. If I had something to mention could be the cost of some apps and plans but... overall GREAT!

Overall, I really like shopify a lot. I like that it's all built in for you. I find customer service knowledgeable, and pretty much available. I feel loyal to shopify.

Pros

I like the payment options, the payment. I can't really say anything about value for money because I have always had shopify. I will say that I don't feel bad about it, I just don't have a comparison. Generally, I find shopify easy to use.

Cons

I find the themes are difficult. - purchased. There are some that I don't think shopify should have listed. I purchased an expensive one that had no customer service, to email or call. It was expensive and very complicated. I would like to be able to make more than one discount at any time.

5.0

I totally recommend to use Shopify for the people that have an idea but don’t know if it will work. After validate the idea you can decide if you want to continue paying the fees or you prefer to create something in another platform to save the fees.

Pros

Much more easy than create a woocommerce and you can start invoicing with a very good user experience from the first day.

Cons

Very difficult to customize some parts without expert knowledge and the language to develop (liquid) it’s no so popular so it’s more difficult to create plugins or apps than other more popular platforms.
