It’s easy to use and works well with a lot of apps, which helped me get started fast. My biggest issue is the support—it’s not great. Plus, many useful features cost extra, so expenses can add up quickly. Still, for small businesses, it’s a solid platform to start with. COO Automotive Used the software for: 6-12 months ### "DO NOT trust this evil company" August 20, 2024 1.0 After spending 8 months building and refining my store on Shopify, with absolutely no warning and no consultation with myself they took down my store and locked me out of my account permanently. They stated that my store was too 'high risk' for Shopify to support. We are a fully incorporated and licensed online retailer for garage equipment... would hardly say that is high risk. Over the 8 months we were building the store my experience with Shopify's systems and their customer service was absolutely horrible. I have never encountered a business with so little care for their customers. AVOID SHOPIFY AT ALL COSTS. would give 0 stars if I could. Pros Absolutely nothing good to say about this company. Their user experience is terrible and their customer service is absolutely atrocious Cons Shopify has no interest in supporting small business. All they want to do is take your money and they do not care at all what happens to your business. I have never encountered another business with so little care for there clients. They are crooks and bullies. their user experience is FULL of bugs, you will constantly be reaching out to customer service. Their customer service is AWFUL its only an online chat (there's no way to talk to them on the phone) with a bunch of agents who have no idea what they are talking about, I was constantly receiving contradictory answers from different agents. The only reason they have customers is because of their massive marketing budget pushing lies onto the public. If people knew how this business operated no one would be using it. I can honestly say I have never had a worse experience with any business in any sector than I have had with Shopify. 8 months of hard work and money down the drain after they deleted my store and locked me out with no warning, no explanation and no consultation. To quote part of their brief and rude email; "for security and privacy reasons we are unable to divulge the results of our reviews and investigations" which makes no sense considering everything in the investigation would just be my details and info. I like how Shopify gives you the option to edit the themes code so you can change things or add your own elements. They have TONS of apps for various things that are super beneficial when optimizing your store. Pros I like how easy the site is to use. They have a great selection of high quality themes for free as well as paid. Cons Honestly I haven’t had a bad experience with Shopify. I prefer their layout over every other platform. Pros Het bouwen van een website met diverse pagina's rond de webshop is makkelijk en handig. Cons Het uploaden van nieuwe artikelen in de webshop is een behoorlijke klus ondanks dat het Shopify wereldwijd bekend staat om zijn webshop-integratie. Onze online winkel telt rond de 3000 artikelen en dat is bij Shopify eigenlijk niet haalbaar om bij te houden, gezien het enorme aantal tijd dat dit kost. Het gebruik van al de aparte apps vond ik ook zeer omslachtig. However, not everyone can do this effortlessly; it requires considerable knowledge of computers and the web. And, charging a monthly fee for this basic knowledge is what Shopify does. It can be ok, but, instead of charging this fee from the beginning, if it is charged after a certain period once the business has stabilized, it could be a win-win strategy for both parties. Pros Not so difficult to get a domain name and build a website. Not so expensive to continue. Since then, I have not stopped using it or seeing other businesses use it. This is an excellent piece of software, especially for e-commerce, to begin accepting orders and expanding your business. The option to "park" the website for a period of time when things are slow is helpful, however, it is a considerable expense for a starting business.
