The tool has seamless features that makes things happen. The interface is easy to navigate which makes it an ideal tool for on-boarding. Pros I like that Shopify has great customer support team that is highly responsive and always ready to help. The offer efficient technical support which ensures teams do not under go down-time. The dashboard is intuitive and very easy to navigate even for users with no technical skills. Cons Shopify has been an exceptionally great tool for us. July 11, 2025 4.0 Shopify has been incredibly easy to set up and run for my business. Adding products to the store was easy and strait forward and the platform is easy to navigate so I never miss an order. The built in shipping tools save me time and money and allows me to take care of online orders quickly leaving more time for my customers in store. Pros Shopify is an easy to use platform that makes selling to customers online incredibly simple! The built in shipping system is most valuable to me. I love that all I have to do is put the order into a box, attach the shipping label provided and the order is ready to be shipped to my customer. Cons I found the Shopify platform was not as easy to sell digital products or "experiences" on but there were some plug-in options which made it possible. Overall, I found Shopify to be the best online platform for selling multiple types of products. Plus with built in customer support it was a no brainer for us. Pros First time using Shopify it was very easy to set-up and integrate into my shop. And as a customer I remembered how many payment options they offered me so I was pretty excited to be able to offer the same experience to my customers. Cons Although the back-office gave me a lot of data it was a bit of a learning curve navigating the menu system and getting comfortable with the analytics. After validate the idea you can decide if you want to continue paying the fees or you prefer to create something in another platform to save the fees. Pros Much more easy than create a woocommerce and you can start invoicing with a very good user experience from the first day. Cons Very difficult to customize some parts without expert knowledge and the language to develop (liquid) it’s no so popular so it’s more difficult to create plugins or apps than other more popular platforms. Still, it remains one of the best options for starting and running an online business. Pros The interface is very user-friendly you can launch a store quickly. It also has a large app store . The checkout system is smooth which helps increase conversions. Cons The biggest downside for me is the cost. It starts affordable, but once you add apps and a good theme, it quickly gets expensive. Customer support is on top of it, we rarely need to reach out as when they have an issue it is likely resolved within 10 minutes. Cons Sometimes shopify will update and something that used to be in a certain area of the page goes somewhere else and its sometimes hard to navigate and keep track. Perhaps sending an email when these updates are being made so that the user knows when to look out for a change. Pros As the leading platform in e-commerce, there was a ton of really accessible support and easy to set up systems. We used it primarily for on demand merch but it created a very simple web page and had widely accessible payment options. The ability to take payment via tap on the device is also very impressive and useful for pop-ups or mobile sales. Cons Sometimes the integrations with third-party partners were a little bit difficult to manage, and it was somewhat limiting in terms of matching the branding of our other media without expensive outside developers. Very easy to use Cons Shopify has it negatives sides for example in 2019 Shopify shut down a lot of online businesses just for selling N 95 face mask when Covid-19 pandemic hit. All because in order for merchants to sell pandemic related products they wanted merchants to buy them from Shopify recommend Suppliers. So in my opinion Shopify has no right to dictate who merchants should by from their recommend Suppliers. Would be nice to keep cost down ..but that’s my only possible concern. Shopify can be used simply with pre installed templates, or you can customize until your heart is content. Additionally I like how easy and smooth the checkout experience is for customers. Cons I wish Shopify allowed for more than 100 variants on product pages. I know this is being worked on but still it is a big oversight. Pros I knew nothing about Shopify before deciding to open my own e-commerce site. just remembered the name from all the commercials. I like the fact that my store was fairly easy to set up, and it is a decent price. Cons The number of add-on apps you require to do business. There just happens to be an app for everything that you have to pay for separately. It would be a much better program if it were all-inclusive.
