My overall experience has been wonderful and has made my job of quickly locating candidates in the system very timely and with ease because of how their software is structured. I use it everyday, for every search.

Pros

What I like most about their software is how easy it is to search for candidates, input candidates, communicate with them and clients and how all the information is stored in the system. I also LOVE their help desk. Always responds quickly and with the correct information the first time.

Cons

I feel the search features could be more robust.

Word of mouth, working with my initial sales person and the ease of transferring information from Bullhorn to Top Echelon.

The experience with Top Echelon is over quite a number of years, 5 days/week and 6-8 hours on the system. There have been a few times something went down or there was a glitch, but they addressed it right away and we all moved on.

Pros

I like Top Echelon for the ease of use, that they are always adding more value to the platform in how to source, how to contact candidates or clients, ease of posting jobs, add on to get the jobs out on other job sites, multiple ways to go about a task, quick and efficient customer service people who always have the answer, training resources, and webinars to help me be better at my job.

Cons

I do not have any issues with Top Echelon.

### "New Platform is Extremely Difficult to Navigate "

The only reason I'm still with Big Biller is, despite the awkward, and user unfriendly interface in the new platform, moving to another service is out of the question during this Covid-19 pandemic where business is down 30%. Our bandwidth, as a small company, for non revenue generating projects has to be kept to a minimum. The customer support is great but software layout and design should be intuitive and not require so many calls to support to begin with. I remain hopefully BB will work out the kinks. I pay $15,000 a year for Linkedin Recruiter so money is not the deciding factor, ease of use is. Originally Big Biller had the friendliest customer support and simple layout and that was the deciding factor. Not cost alone

Pros

Great customer support and easy to reach by phone or online chat.

Cons

The new version of Big biller has set me back 20 years in my productivity. I actually go out of my way to use Outlook and avoid the new BB cumbersome, user-unfriendly interfacte. The 'running man" (we call him 'burning man' icon offers no clue as to what menu lies underneath. The 'hot list' icon looks like a poop emoji and I had to have someone explain this to me. Too many lengthy menus that open, vanish, disappear, are difficult to find once they are minimized, etc. I'm advanced with computers and can design basic code and find this new platform roll out very dissapointing.

Cons

I really don't have any issues with this platform. Maybe one day the ability to scroll right and left to go back and forth in open profiles on a list....It is possible for applicants for individual job posts.

I used Top Echelon/Big Biller years ago when I started out as an independent recruiter. Their product was the most cost effective, customizable, multi function product then and now. I would not think of using another product as an independent recruiter.

Pros

I absolutely love that I can manage my full desk, job postings, candidate tracking, client tracking all in one place. The customer service is wonderful, you can customize fields, and they offer a split network program that allows you to collaborate with trusted partners.

Cons

The only con I have is that I did not implement the product sooner.

Reason for choosing Top Echelon

I chose Top Echelon because I knew the quality of the product, because there is an option to join a split network, because the setup and integration with my web page was seamless and painless. The customer support is a huge plus.

Pros

The user experience is very easy to learn and setup.

Cons

The parser could be more robust and for some reason my extensions that highlight words does not come through very well. But the extensions do work on the resume widget, so that is a plus, i just wish they showed up better on the screen.

Overall, a great experience. I am a fan of Training Tuesday and have often attended webinars presented by top recruiting trainers from around the country. I also like the ease and efficiency of tracking my progress with a candidate through each step of the interview process.

Pros

How easy it is to access information re: candidates, clients and prospects and the efficiency of entering notes in the system as I am interviewing candidates. Very good people at Top Echelon to work with, always helpful in answering questions and making suggestions.

Cons

I have had good experiences in using Top Echelon so I cannot think of a con.

Pros

I have been using BB since 2008 and have always appreciated its simplicity and customization options. I have also tried other CRMs, and nothing compares.

Cons

Very few complaints. Always looking for more automation and integration options. Would really appreciate a mobile app to make it easier when I am traveling.

I began TORP Group about 7 years ago and started using Big Biller withing a few months of starting our business. From the beginning, their level of care and service has been beyond what I expected. The product has many features and options available to use within their system. The system was far beyond what I had used in the past. They are continually improving, which says to me, they care about their clients. Top Echelon is looking to be the best in what they do and it shows!!

Pros

The level of service has always been outstanding. The company is responsive, reliable and overall amazing to work with.

Cons

The texting option is great, but there has not been an ability to group text, which would be most ideal. Currently not using their texting system due to this.

Very pleased with the software. Only 1 time had a backup issue and it was resolved quickly and all the information was there.

Pros

Good software to use if you're a recruiter. Uploading and downloading candidate information. Easy to use. Has many great features that makes it easy to use the software when doing your job. Emailing option is wonderful.

Cons

Sometimes when there are glitches or the software went down and off line, it took time before it came back up.

Pros

Price and performance - I get all the functionality and features that was paying almost triple for with another software service, but with better customer service. Integration and set up was extremely easy and they offer a very reasonable rate for the data transfer. Job board integration to my company's website was better than my previous service, as well as multiple free job posting features to social media and select job board websites.

Cons

No real "cons" at the moment as they are pushing out new features and improvements on an almost monthly basis. Maybe have a tab on for "hotlists" to make it easier to go straight there when sourcing for specific jobs.

nothing really comes to mind. If I had to pick one I dont like that when you add a candidate to the system there is another step to add them to a hotlist. I would prefer you could do that in one step.

One goal I have it to become paperless. Big Biller is helping me achieve a large part of that goal.

Pros

The search features for candidates and targeted markets are very reliable. The Hot List features allow you to create a system within a system and customize the system for your own use regardless of industry. One of my favorite features is the ability to use "Open Activities" and schedule a future activity or reminder. The system sends you an email in the future as a reminder for follow-up. How cool is that? Big Biller has the best customer/technical service I have ever experienced! They are there when you need them! Friendly, Helpful and Knowledgeable! This system is very affordable and a value for a smaller recruiting shop.

Cons

Report functions need to be ramped up a little. I would also like to see some billing and accounting functions built into the system.

Excellent experience so far, they provide weekly ongoing trainings on new features as well as industry secrets and tips.

Pros

Ease of use, everything you need in a database for tracking candidates, jobs, and companies. Excellent resource for recruiting teams, love the browser extension for all recruiting platforms including Linkedin, Indeed, and Ziprecruiter.

Cons

It takes a little training to get used to the boolean search, but the trainings via the help desk are great.

I'm still learning the in's and out's of Top Echelon. I'm fortunate enough to have some good support from both the TE staff as well as other using I have made a connection with within TE.

Pros

Top Echelon has a large group of professional recruiters that work together for the common goal of making placements. We share our candidates and jobs with other recruiters that works the industry I'm working in.

Cons

The only item I need some help with is a better way to track the date employees are placed in the company records. I would like to see a "last modified" date posted when a new person is added to the record without having to go to the people data sheet to find this information.

Big Biller has helped our agency streamline our recruiting process.

Pros

This software was designed for the staffing and recruiting industry. The cards, templates, and fields are well thought out, with the option to further customize if needed.

Cons

It would be helpful to be able to see attachments to emails in the activity history. As of today, we can only see the email body. In order to see what attachment was sent, we need to look it up under the Email tab and then search for it.

As a boutique retained executive search firm, we find two to three superstars for any given opening. I was looking for a way to give the candidates my search clients do NOT hire visibility into other opportunities throughout my network. When economic times are volatile, I have worked on other recruiter's open positions. When I'm awash in client demand, I know I can count on the other recruiters to help me fill my client's openings.

Pros

The integration of Big Biller software and the Top Echelon Network capabilities are superior to anything I've ever seen.

Cons

Sometimes to scroll up or down you can't use the arrow keys or page up / page down. You have to move your cursor to the thin strip at the right of whatever frame you're looking at and click on that narrow, tiny vertical ribbon to scroll up or down.

Reason for choosing Top Echelon

the other products aren't integrated, e.g. NPA Worldwide's Marketplace by Oorwin: you can't click on a recruiter's name to see his/her current jobs or candidates.

The system is simple and easy to use. It is intuitive and let's you use as much or as little as you want. There are no "required fields" that stop you in your tracks.

Cons

Email responses go to a different platform so you may have to look in more that one place for an email.

Pros

It’s easy to use, is regularly updated to improve user efficiency, is highly dependable and always available, can be easily accessed when I travel and is reasonably priced. Technical support, though seldom needed, is responsive and excellent.

Cons

I have no complaints or concerns. I’ve used ATS software/systems for over 25 years and Top Echelon is clearly the best ATS I’ve used, by far.

Overall, very satisfied with TE. The network has specialist and generalist recruiters. Most, if not all, are accessible and easy to work with. Using their Big Biller software allows for easy integration and tracking of activities.

Pros

I like the entire ecosystem of the software. While there are other ATS' out there that offer more bells and whistles, this software is easy to use and doesn't get in your way when performing daily tasks.

Cons

I'd like to be able to interface with other software through an API. Especially in the areas of candidate sourcing and email marketing.

In general it has been good, but ALL INFORMATION has to be more user friendly, guiding you to what to do next or options at that point. MORE USER FRIENDLY WITH SAVE THEM MONEY/LABOR ETC.

Pros

I think TE has done a good job developing their software. But...there is so much information, it becomes more complicated to use. There is very little owner/manager PR contact. They need more targeted zone client development/training, which in turn should give them more referrals from present TE customers. Corporate TE Zoom meetings to bond operations together, to get NEW and stragling customers to know each other and what they niche in so they can communicate better about their business day to day. I just met a great partner on TE that niches in IBM i-series ONLY. I had NO IDEA of this. We just stumbled into each other. I have matching skills//candidates for him. Would not of know this. So, instead of being a generalist, niche notifications can be very helpful to each other therefore MAKING MORE PLACEMENTS.

Cons

See above....plus MANDATORY TE resume submittal through and to PIPELINE....NO EXCEPTIONS... I am getting resumes as attachments only, expecting me to reply etc. etc. and then I have to input to my pipeline to manage. When you have alot of resumes being received the TE Pipeline management is very helpful IF people submit the resume through the TENetwork with NO exceptions.
