I'm still learning the in's and out's of Top Echelon. I'm fortunate enough to have some good support from both the TE staff as well as other using I have made a connection with within TE.

Pros

Top Echelon has a large group of professional recruiters that work together for the common goal of making placements. We share our candidates and jobs with other recruiters that works the industry I'm working in.

Cons

The only item I need some help with is a better way to track the date employees are placed in the company records. I would like to see a "last modified" date posted when a new person is added to the record without having to go to the people data sheet to find this information.

I don't have anything negative to say. The experience thus far has been positive. Still learning new things, and I'm sure I haven't fully utilized all its functionality and capabilities yet.

Pros

The product is very easy to use. Has great functionality both as a ATS and CRM. Excellent technical support that is local in the USA. Top Echelon also adds great value for your money by providing Webinars on a regular basis on various topics that is pertinent to running a successful business.The other big plus is having the Network (Forum) which allows you to collaborate with other recruiters and agencies and work on split deals.

Cons

Not sure if Top Echelon offers this but it would be nice if you could conduct more automated campaigns to attract new candidates and new clients through the platform.

Reason for choosing Top Echelon

I chose Top Echelon because of price point, availability of technical support, and functionality and ease of use.Other products I explored were: PC Recruiter, Crelate, Manatal, Bullhorn, Job Adder, and Zoom Info.

Pros

Price and performance - I get all the functionality and features that was paying almost triple for with another software service, but with better customer service. Integration and set up was extremely easy and they offer a very reasonable rate for the data transfer. Job board integration to my company's website was better than my previous service, as well as multiple free job posting features to social media and select job board websites.

Cons

No real "cons" at the moment as they are pushing out new features and improvements on an almost monthly basis. Maybe have a tab on for "hotlists" to make it easier to go straight there when sourcing for specific jobs.

During times when my clients were in a hiring freeze or slowdown, I was still able to make a living by working on the job orders that other recruiters posted on the network. This helped me keep my business afloat. Also, networking with other recruiters, I've been able to bounce ideas off other individuals that understand the business, and I've been able to help others who needed guidance.

Pros

I was able to make difficult placements due to the networking on Top Echelon, both as a job recruiter and candidate recruiter.

Cons

Some recruiters post jobs from third party venues. Some recruiters don't respond or provide feedback when candidates are presented to them, which is frustrating.

Pros

The features, customization, and dashboards are excellent. BB did a great job creating software crafted by and for Recruiting Agencies. All the functionalities are centered on providing you data visibility and opportunities to manage and grow your pipelines and business. BB continuously is upgrading features. The deployment and integration are easy.

Cons

So, far I have not found anything. A cool feature to add could be integration to schedule interviews, video interviewing tools, and resume reviews with hiring leaders.

Reason for choosing Top Echelon

For all the above, and additionally, because pricing, support, training, and community are outstanding with easy deployment.

It's been a great experience with Big Biller as I has built my own company.

Pros

I find the abilty to customize and build cards makes this software incredible. I can set up my full interview process with questions so can review and compare apples to apples on candidates. This software is easy to use. I'm a very experienced recruiter and love how intuitive Big Biller is. I can also email blast candidates and receive hundreds of interested responses. Of all the ATS's I have used I like this one the best.

Cons

I would like Big Biller to have an easier way to email blast client corporations.

I'm in a niche recruiting business which results in many of the same candidates becoming available at the end of projects, so candidates may be considered several times in a relatively short time period. Big Biller's combination of quick delivery of essential information to the screen PLUS providing history made parsing candidate lists much less effort than other tracking systems, and more than once saved us from making a costly candidate proposal error of candidate and employer. The cost was a major consideration but also made easy when compared to similar product - the Cost/Benefit advantage of using BigBiller is quickly apparent. We stopped using BigBiller when our niche narrowed further, but if we return to a more general recruiting practice, I believe we'll simply return to BB without any delay past sign-up.

Pros

Big Biller's pricing to track candidates intelligently + offer features we MIGHT use made them the best choice of the many candidates we considered.

Cons

Needs to have a better tutorial to get full use of the rich array of features offered.

As a boutique retained executive search firm, we find two to three superstars for any given opening. I was looking for a way to give the candidates my search clients do NOT hire visibility into other opportunities throughout my network. When economic times are volatile, I have worked on other recruiter's open positions. When I'm awash in client demand, I know I can count on the other recruiters to help me fill my client's openings.

Pros

The integration of Big Biller software and the Top Echelon Network capabilities are superior to anything I've ever seen.

Cons

Sometimes to scroll up or down you can't use the arrow keys or page up / page down. You have to move your cursor to the thin strip at the right of whatever frame you're looking at and click on that narrow, tiny vertical ribbon to scroll up or down.

the other products aren't integrated, e.g. NPA Worldwide's Marketplace by Oorwin: you can't click on a recruiter's name to see his/her current jobs or candidates.

I have been working with BB for at least 5 years now and find it the best CRM out there. When I went from Restaurant Mgmt recruitment to the Mortgage Buying industry, I did a lot of research into other CRM's and found BB to be the best for what we needed.

Pros

Allowing all our business clients to be in one online format is very useful for us. I had previous experience with Big Biller and realized we could easily use this CRM for our Mortgage buying business.

Cons

The only complaint I have is the last time Big Biller updated the program, I had to link my email account ISP and have as of yet been unable to do so. Because of this, I am no longer able to send emails directly from my Big Biller account. I know I need to make a call to resolve this, just have not had the time to do so yet.

Because of my familiarity with BB and looking into other CRM's that appeared to be too confusing.

Pros

It’s easy to use, is regularly updated to improve user efficiency, is highly dependable and always available, can be easily accessed when I travel and is reasonably priced. Technical support, though seldom needed, is responsive and excellent.

Cons

I have no complaints or concerns. I’ve used ATS software/systems for over 25 years and Top Echelon is clearly the best ATS I’ve used, by far.

Overall, very satisfied with TE. The network has specialist and generalist recruiters. Most, if not all, are accessible and easy to work with. Using their Big Biller software allows for easy integration and tracking of activities.

Pros

I like the entire ecosystem of the software. While there are other ATS' out there that offer more bells and whistles, this software is easy to use and doesn't get in your way when performing daily tasks.

Cons

I'd like to be able to interface with other software through an API. Especially in the areas of candidate sourcing and email marketing.

We have used the CRM part Big Biller for years and it is invaluable

Pros

TEN gives credibility to a company and Big Biller is something I use everyday to a high extent

Cons

the person who supplies the candidate has little to no rights. If a client decides to eliminate a candidate during the guarantee period if the Client affiliate has a bad contract the person who supplied the candidate just has to live with a poor contract and pay back the money earned

What I like most is that they added texting to the candidates as activities so when I am texting someone, it creates an activity that can be read by all. I am mostly loving the new free feature of adding jobs directly to Monster Organic and LinkedIn direct. We've made more placements since using these features.

Cons

I don't like that I cannot search older, archived jobs for "job descriptions." Sometimes I want to find an older description and copy it but I have to click job by job, until I can find ones that have descriptions.

nothing really comes to mind. If I had to pick one I dont like that when you add a candidate to the system there is another step to add them to a hotlist. I would prefer you could do that in one step.

I have had an excellent experience with Big Biller. As we all know, technology does not always work the way we want it to or when we want it to, and Big Biller is no different. However, Big Biller has an excellent support team working for them. They care about your opinion and work with you to make your job easier so that you can operate successfully. This mentality has stood out to since day one of working within the Big Biller system.

Pros

I have been using the Big Biller software for just over two years now. Since the update, a new feature that I think is beneficial is the automatic nominations. I enjoy the nomination feature because I can see all the applications within the candidate inbox. The apps are all in one place and do not have to worry about adding them into Big Biller, tying them to the correct recruiter and job. This feature saves a lot of time and energy. Another feature that I enjoy is the pipeline. As an intern, my main focus is on finding qualified candidates for our positions. When I am searching, I can easily see if we have considered them for the current opening and other openings we have had in the past. Before the update, this was a feature we did not utilize often. I think the pipeline has improved to become an excellent tool as I can see what candidates I have found and where they are at in the process. I can easily see the candidates that have been rejected or moved onto an interview and adjust my searching with this information.

Cons

No one likes change and adjusting to the new system has not been easy, but after establishing a routine and going through the excellent training videos that Big Biller has to offer it has made the process much a smoother transition.

\[sensitive content hidden\] has been an absolute pleasure to work with throughout the demo, registration and sign up process, and he's been there to answer questions and provide additional support once using the product. The abundance of training calls and webinars also make you feel connected as part of a larger community of recruitment agencies using Top Echelon.

Pros

I'm a huge fan of the ability to automatically upload applicants as new candidates in the ATS by forwarding an email with their resume. By setting up a rule, any incoming applications from LinkedIn automatically are parsed into the Top Echelon ATS!

Cons

The price - although it is more than fair for the quality of the software & service provided, being in Canada, I am paying an additional premium to cover the conversation rates from USD to CAD.

The team at BB/Top Echelon is always trying to improve functionality and add new features. Data added to the platform is easily customizable and retrievable. Reports help track recruiter performance.

I don't use the email features because the graphics seem basic and I like to use advanced tracking.

If you have time to explore the system, then it is a great tool. After a year I find little things that we could have been using all along. The customer service is amazing. Just wish we had a little more control in filters/lists, and we could implement electronic signatures/onboarding somehow.

Pros

Top Echelon's customer service is unparalleled. Any time I send an email, the turnaround time for response is within a day, and very often it is within hours. They also offer training every Tuesday. This is really amazing in my mind.

Cons

The biggest stumbling block for us I think is that we are not able to use an electronic onboarding system. Also not being able to sort/filter in a more effective way. Alphabetization is now available in the settings, but as a user, it would be great to be able to do so while I am in a record. There are improvements to this process in the last year/
