Top notch! 10 years ago when I was researching recruitment software to run my business I found and selected Top Echelon Big Biller software. A great decision for my business, one that I have been very thankful for. Wonderful people also within Top Echelon, top notch!

Pros

Quality of product, reliability, knowing my data is safe and will always be there. I like the bulk email feature very much.

Cons

During a bulk email process, transferring search lists to a hotsheet and having to hold a button down and go from page to page to ensure the transfer of data to a hotsheet. I wish there was one button to push to transfer all records from a search list to a hotsheet, that would be welcome.

Human beings are available to help you set up, answer questions. Quick response when emailing in questions. On line help is great. Ongoing training webinars to make sure you are getting the most out of the software. Love the humans at Big Biller. I tried a competitor but couldn't get any answers - the online help didn't answer my questions and humans weren't available.

Pros

designed for agency use. Ease of use. Easy to customize to my needs. Parsing of resumes. I can actually talk to a human when I have questions. Love that there are always updates. Learning opportunities

Cons

Hot lists for prospecting could be better - more like pipeline for jobs. Some other programs have a nicer look but I don't think they work as well.

### "A Must Have CRM solution for Recruiters"

Pros

I love Top Echelon's CRM functions. From being able to send texts from the candidates record to logging Outlook emails through the Top Echolon API. As a search firm, we probably use 30% of the functionality. Also, being able to call out from the candidates record through any VOIP application makes life easier when doing outreach.

Cons

I would love to be able to temporarily merge hotlists for outbound calling. Also, it would be nice if there was a an easy way to update records automatically. For example, we use Leopard List to run searches for qualified candidates. Candidates move around a lot. Currently, the only way to update a record is manually. This become cumbersome and often, at our search firm, recruiters don't bother taking the time to update the date. This means over time, our database will be useless.

Overall, I was happy with Top Echelon. I have used plenty of ATS software and Top Echelon was one of the best.

Pros

It served Patrice & Associates well as an ATS. It is rather easy to use, is robust and allow sourcing, recruiting, etc to work pretty easily.

Cons

Search features could be more robust. Easy to create duplicates because the algorithm to look for duplicates was not as strong as it should have been

There is a huge role the features play in building a lasting experience for users. I also like the dependability in the results. Communication is easy with Top Echelon.

My experience has been great and that's why I'm still with them.

Pros

I have used Big Biller since January 2015 and I loved the ease of set up and use from the beginning. They have constantly upgraded the system to make it more user friendly. Tech support is always available to help guide you through any issues you might have and are incredible kind. Pricing is affordable for smaller firms and the software integrates with my website which is amazing. I really like being able to bring recruiters in and out without being tied to lengthy contracts. Importing resumes and writing notes are a breeze.

Cons

I wish the email integration worked more seamlessly, but I know Big Biller has been working on this.

The ease of the system, I am still learning it and all that it has to offer but very easy to work with.

Reminders on follow up on candidates, I wish it merged to the calendar and or there was a pop up that would come up to remind to call the client or candidate.

I'm sure there are other good ATS systems out there but the shared networking with hundreds of other recruiting companies puts TE at the top and we don't ever plan on switching.

Pros

The networking and receiving help or helping other recruiters on job searches is the reason Decide Consulting switched to TE and is a fantastic benefit. The first thing I do every morning is review all the JO's posted to TE in the last 24 hours.Also TE keeps me well organized, the "PIN" feature as well as job order pipeline help me keep track of a lot searches going on at once.

Cons

I wish TE was integrated with MS Outlook, i.e. would love to click on email address instead of copying and pasting into Outlook. The bulk email function is the only redeemable thing about TE email.

Honestly we chose Big Biller because we like the rep. While the systems we shopped were all comparable, ultimately we chose Big Biller for the personality of the sales rep. Our job is about people and our first experience with Big Biller supported our mission of working with good people.

I have been using Big Biller, at the Atayo Group, for the last 7 years. It's been a great tool for candidate tracking, documentation, candidate searching and maintaining a pipeline I use daily as well as daily, weekly, monthly and yearly reporting.

Pros

Big Biller is very simple to use yet has all the features and options of a more expensive database.

Cons

For me, having to pay for job postings, is the part I like least. We don't have that option. I would love to be able to post 1 job for free each month.

It has been a great experience with TE. I recommend it endlessly. I've used MaxHire, BullHorn and Salesforce and now Top Echelon and 10 times out of 9, I would choose TE.

Pros

It is so easy to use, the integration was a breeze and support has been phenomenal. Every ATS/CRM I've used, I've always had the thought of "I wish I could do this" or "Why can't I just switch this to over here" and TE makes it so easy to do all of those things.

Cons

The resume parsing via email can be a bit of a pain sometimes, I would really like just a drag and drop option as well.

It is what it is for now... It gets us by, but we will have to upgrade soon. I am going to need something that has a complete staffing package that can do my payroll as well, and track all of my HR information.

Pros

It is easy to use, and if you have a small company it is easy to buy into with a low amount of users. The text messaging feature is a game changer. Very helpful.

Cons

The job posting tool does not get applicants. We would get 2-3 people per week. I had to get another subscription with Zip. We try and import as many resumes as possible, but many do not make it through, or the resume doesn't parse. Everything is an add-on with this software. Which can be a benefit as well. When I see my bill at the end of the month I really don't feel that we put $220 into this. I wish my users utilized it more, however they don't have the time for all the importing. I wish there was a way to actually downgrade users. For example, my onsite doesn't enter a thing in this and just sits at a company and makes phone calls. All I would need from her is to enter information, and import resumes if needed.

Pros

This is a very easy to use product, built by recruiters for recruiters. I have used it over 10 years now. The support is amazing. They are coming out with new things monthly, which shows they are listening to us. I could not do my work without Top Echelon. I highly recommend them.

Cons

The reporting/analytics for me are the hardest to use. I'm sure with time I could figure it out, but for right now, I don't use that functionality.

Recruitment: With TE, I have billed $$ millions of successful search fees. It gives me everything I need.

Pros

What can I say? Easy to use for a non-techie like me; great training and customer service. When there is a question I can call and get an immediate response from an english-speaking professional. Generally speaking, on occasion I work way past normal hours and the app keeps me in touch wherever I may be. I've had demos of other products, but the value, functionality, and continuous ongoing development of the product makes me a very loyal customer.

Cons

There are no dislikes. Top Echelon can perform way above my proficiency level.

The Pros outweigh the Cons on this software. It has an ease to it which makes it my only go to software for placements and tracking. With a built in email system it is the best product out there for the money.

Pros

Amazing product. It saves me time with easy access to all my candidates for the particular job. I can create my own panels within each candidates profile which helps me streamline. It is the first software I bring up and the last one I close out at the end of the day. I can't say enough about its functionality. The self help material is outstanding.

Cons

There are two things which I would like to have more control of. 1) The Reports. I want to be able to do specific reports but I am unable. It is set on certain reports which can't be changed. 2) The pipeline and candidate availability. I wish I could add more in the process instead of just showing INBOX, IN PLAY, Placements and Disqualified. I have certain phases that I would like to see there but could not add to that. (It can be added in the little circles but I wanted an actual tab on top for certain phases)
