We loved the integration of the system between all the modules but as we implemented we didn't realize how decisions in one area effect other things. There are many issues we've had where customer service is unable to help. And often we hear that they will pass suggestions onto the engineering group. The LMS has the most limitations.

So many things are not editable, or can be changed.

I've been working with Deltek talent for two years now and it is a great value for the money. The recruitment module has been a rock solid product for us that has helped us streamline our applicant tracking processes. Deltek continues to make great strides in improving the functionality with each release. I have found great value for the price I pay.

Cons

Help desk level support could use some work. The team feels like they were hired last week and generally not very helpful. Generally I need to go to the next tier to get anything resolved.

The initial design and implementation phase was very thorough . Testing was also very comprehensive so that by the time we were ready to go live it was as simple as redirecting our existing job placement ads and pointing our website at the Talent Management system. We have had no applicant complaints on using the system and our HR department loves everything that it automates for them as well as the reporting features offered.

Pros

Cloud-based, full-featured, and integration with our current accounting systems.

Cons

There were a couple of features we would have liked that they currently do not support. Reporting to Cognos and the ability for an admin to attach resumes to current employees were the 2 biggest.

I use Deltek Talent Management to create/approve job postings, screen candidates, and shortlist. Versus a paper-based method in my previous role, this is an improvement as basic pre-screening is done and I can rank and sort applicants from one area.

Pros

This software seems to work well for our Human Resources team, who do the technical and administrative parts of staffing. It accomplishes the task of allowing applicants to apply and uses basic techniques to screen qualified candidates, so I see only the applicants I'm interested in.

Cons

Nothing feels or seems intuitive. I have to dig around each time and drill my memory to find where resumes are stored, where they move to after a competition closes, and how to shortlist candidates. Hot helpful as a hiring manager.

The acquisitions module has been working great and it's easy to configure. However, the Performance module is not easy to configure as the acquisition one. The implementation took longer and pay increase forms can't be added to it. Same approvers has to be assigned for different phase which is not working for us.

Pros

The acquisition module. Easy to configure and automate most of the processes involved in it.

Cons

Performance module. Compensation is a separate module while I think it should be integrated with the Performance module.

I have been using it for Tepperman's while it has the functionality, the user-friendliness of the system along with the cosmetic feel stands to be improved. I think more focus on a more appealing format would do wonders for it.

I like the Deltek Talent Management software because it has automatic approval routing and lets offer letters and approvals happen electronically. However, the process to post a new position is not streamlined and appears to me to have the potential to be much faster and easier. It takes far too long to post a position and does not provide ways to make the position stand out and be attractive to job seekers.

Automatic routing of approvals and acceptances

Cons

The process of posting new positions. No good ways to "market" the position to be as attractive as possible to job seekers. Prescreens are difficult to implement.

Overall I have not been very impressed with the functionality of the software . Compared to other ATS systems Deltek TM lacks many capabilities a Government Contractor needs to have. I just recently was the SME for a upgrade /transition from HRSmart to TM and our transition was extremely rocky . I would venture to say we were even miss- lead about the capabilities in the sales portion . Overall I am disappointed with this product .

Particularly for timekeeping and expense reporting, a number of our Clients utilize the Deltek system, so in turn we have had to implement the same. My experience has been good using Deltek. Overall it is a great tool, but some issues included integration, though I must say their customer service team, does a very great job of helping in every way possible to present solutions.

Customer Service; attention to detail to align organization needs with the system

Cons

Needs for implementation are sometimes delayed due to 'difficult' changes to the system

There are better tools out there. Stay away!

Pros

There aren't a lot of pros with Deltek's system. Everything is cloud based which is nice and they do offer integration for many company platforms. Customer service (which i spoke to for awhile) was very helpful but they can't change functionality issues.
