Routeware Reviews
"A must have for Solid Waste Service"
Pros: -Easy UI for the drivers to use -Available customization for different billing software -Excellent Support Service -Amount of data collected is excellent -Route optimization available through Easy Route -Option to export Route Data to use in other applications -Automatic Pictures when needed
Cons: -Out of the box Reports lacking for our needs (Custom reports can be made at extra cost)
"Routeware Partnership"
Overall: Routeware has been a great vendor, we look at them as a partnership of technology for our company. They are willing to listen to our problems and work side by side with our team to develop a feasible solution. We have been very successful working with the Routeware team to destining custom solutions for our needs. We find that once all in a room/conference call we have very similar and achievable goals.
Pros: The functionality and willingness for Routeware to integrate with other products even if they are a competitor. Also, the open mindedness from Routeware team to help identify improvements and development projects with their team and our team
Cons: Sometimes there can be a lag on responses, but this has gotten much better over the last 6 months
"Routeware Review"
Overall: Overall, I would recommend this company be considered in your search, they have been a valuable partner in our program.
Pros: Routeware has proven to be an all around dependable operations program. It is a web based solution that easily integrates with back office programs. They offer RFID reading /capture technology for better GPS and asset management. The learning curve is not burdensome, for the luddites. The customer service is better than their competitors.
Cons: To be more competitive in this niche they will need to focus more on a customer billing option, that is web based. There are a couple items that take getting used to, such as carts not on a route will not be recognized.
"My Routeware Experience"
Overall: Our experience with Routeware over the recent years has been phenomenal. Everyone from the top down has always been up front about their product and have stood behind it. They have an excellent team. Their support group have been a pleasure to work with and have always responded to our needs immediately and efficiently. We're proud and grateful that they've provided my department with great equipment to help with our daily operation and continue to provide essential service to our community.
Pros: It is very easy to use. The software provides many key features in managing your daily operation very effectively. It's very efficient and cost effective as well.
Cons: We have run into some data issues of reading RFID tags and/or connection issues of sending or capturing data to and from the equipment in the field. However, these are minor issues which were resolved immediately. Other than that, everything else works fine.
"Incorporating Technology"
Overall: Overall, the experiences I've had with the Routeware team have been great. Flexible in meeting our business needs and you definitely feel heard when and if there are any issues.
Pros: Integrates with our current back end system. Data transfers between both Routeware and our back end system, including date/time stamps of when stops get picked up, geocodes of there the driver is when they complete or "block" the stop, weights of every container transfer in real time from Routeware to our back end system and in the correct spot in our back end system. Pictures drivers take attach themselves to the correct stop and show up in our back end system. They also have an RFID option, which we are testing now, which also integrates with our scales, so we will be getting verification that the correct container was picked up and a weight all at the same time. Not only that, but Routeware has made it so when the tag is read, it selects the stop on the drivers tablet, even if it's not being done in the correct order, eliminating a part of the driver interacting with the tablet.
Cons: Support team is good when you call them, but when you're told you need to get a piece of hardware that didn't come with the initial equipment purchase in order to troubleshoot something, then that can be a little disheartening. Pricewise, it's a bit on the expensive side and those with only a handful of trucks in their operation should steer away and stick with paper route sheets until you've got at least a 12-15 trucks in your fleet.
