For solo practitioners, it is difficult to find affordable practice management tools in general. I had to make quick decisions about my practice set-up and did not have time to do much shopping around. Therasoft pricing appears similar to other products.

Pros

Claims file easily after set up. Notes fairly simple.

Cons

Forget Video, it is frequently down. Customer support is average at best and the weakest area.. The people answering the phone typically don't know much. The FAQ's are often unhelpful as they are not updated. Training videos are mediocre quality.

Pros

What I liked most was that there is so much in the system. You can customize so much of it. The flexibility is what we really appreciate. It allows us to create the system that truly represents the way we work. The support was excellent. Our implementation specialist was always available and quick to respond and assist us.

Cons

I feel the Knowledge Base could be better and have more details. The great thing is everything seems to be here, but I felt I had do ask my specialist to figure it out. I didn't get as much from the help document as I believe I could have.

I would HIGHLY recommend Therasoft to any mental health organization both large and small. Their customer service is top notch and they are committed to getting you set-up, satisfied and performing at peak.

Pros

Being a psychotherapist who has worked in a variety of treatment settings, I have worked with an seen many charting/organizing/payment options. From the old-school pen and paper to fancy software, none of them felt efficient and helpful beyond the basics. Why pay for basics when I can do basics myself? I recently started a group practice and researched software programs. I came across many of the programs I had seen previously but NONE of them allowed clinicians to do their work off-site...it all had to be done on in-house computers. Not only can this product be accessed from virtually anywhere, Therasoft is ten steps ahead by creating apps for iPhones and iPad's. Their product has thought of the things that is way beyond the basics, has helped to stream line my practice and supports my business in a way that facilitates me in doing what I do best...Therapy.

Cons

The only con I have to share is the aesthetic presentation of therasoft. I LOVE a sexy and modern looking software program. No cons with functionality, performance, ease.

Nothing yet. The tutorials are helpful when I have questions and the office staff is extremely responsive.

There is so much that I can do on it, that I still haven't learned all of its capabilities. The reports area is confusing to me. I don't know which one does what.

Cons

Sometimes it runs a bit slow for me when I'm in a hurry. These periods of it running slow don't seem to last long though.

Not consistent to depend on when you have a specific window to work. Will time you out, not allow you to log in, takes too long to reload pages, is cumbersome to complete notes in a timely manner between clients, often frustrating.

Our practice had tried 3 different software programs with great frustration. Each had some particular nuance they could hang their reputation on but never the whole package. In some instances they were trying to be all things to all groups. Others were so simple that they overlooked some critical features that required another software package. Then we discovered Therasoft! A company designed specifically for therapists! It covers it all. Calendar, billing, communication etc. and all HIPPA compliant. If you choose the enhanced billing you will come out way ahead. We made the mistake of thinking we could handle it all at a time when we were changing from single therapist to a group. Our bad!!! We now use the enhanced billing and our revenue has increased and outstanding claims is becoming a thing of the past. Customer service is top shelf. The team at Therasoft...Petra, Keila, Tiffany, Gene, Kassandra are the most responsive group of people I have had the privilege to work with! In the early days of learning the software, Petra and Keila gave up a weekend to train me in the nuts and bolts. You don't find that in the industry today. I would have given 5 stars for ease of use, but there is a learning curve and therapists aren't known for being the most tech savy ;). That said, I can speak on behalf of everyone in our practice, therapists and front office alike, that we are thrilled to be a part of the Therasoft family and they ours!

The software is extremely intuitive. It is designed to create a smooth and logical work flow. The programmers and the staff have worked hard to make the software responsive to the needs of the busy, non-technical therapist (ME). Customer service at Therasoft is exceptional, with consistently friendly, timely, and informative responses to my questions. In fact, they often "get me" when I am fumbling to find the right words to explain a complicated billing situation or other situations where I might be getting temporarily stuck. Being very busy, I have only begun to scratch the surface of what this company has to offer for therapists: website design, self-scheduling for clients, HIPPA-compliant video conferencing...the list goes on. No other billing company compares. However, when I compare Therasoft to perfection, I wonder if there is a way to speed up the online experience, as waiting a couple of seconds after each click can add up to...most of my time ....waiting. Probably par for the course when online, but maybe something can be done. (To their credit, they have listened to my concern, and my idea to perhaps have some desktop version, where we could upload the info, perhaps daily, or maybe even every few minutes - to the Therasoft Cloud.) Oh, and I would also hope that all denials would pop out a bit better on the site, since a denial is a huge deal, and it is often time-sensitve. That's all I got: Great company, a company that listens...and responds!

Therasoft is a user friendly software that makes it as easy as possible to schedule, document and bill insurances and clients as well as post payments. The Therasoft staff have been extremely helpful at every juncture.

Office staff adapt to it in our office better than the therapists. It is challenging to get the therapists to take a few minutes to learn how to more fully use the software.

This is the best EHR I have used ever. From day one with the personalized onboarding, Billing Services and real live Customer Support what else can I ask for. Best customer support I love being able to actually speak to a human. I have also been relying on the RM team for my billing and by doing so freed up so much of my own time
