Pros

I like the ability to run reports, templates, ease of use, and most of all the support. Customer rep has been helpful and encouraging the whole time even when I am not able to understand.

Cons

Treatment plan template is not as simple as I would like it to be. Not having ability to edit templates for assessments, notes, etc.

Pros

Customer support. The turn around for billing is wonderful. There is still a lot I cannot do (like correcting mistakes), but support if incredible and available

Cons

Trying to find a convenient way to add a medication list

It was wonderful. I was worried about creating a site and linking it to an EHR. The web developers were highly responsive and answered all questions I had. The developers along with my account manager made a stressful process much easier.

Pros

It’s easy to use and the tutorials that are online are very helpful. I appreciated that the team conducted a video and call for the setup and questions.

Cons

Initially It didn’t seem like it would be easy to navigate. After my call I had a much easier time.

Excellent clinical software. I would highly recommend it to any mental health practice.

Pros

Very user-friendly clinical software with great drop-down menus and comprehensive assessment and treatment plan options. The learning curve is relatively short and education video and support are good. Secure server with dependable access. Innovative development is on-going to make the clinician's record keeping easier and more accurate. Great clinical calendar, paper-less technology, secure email, excellent insurance claims processing, mobile apps with dictation and credit card readers are included.

Cons

Sometimes customer support lags, but help personnel do attend to customer issues, concerns and requests.

We looked at A LOT of programs before choosing Therasoft Online (TO). TO is constantly improving and adding new features, and responds to the feedback of it's clientele! Although we really wish the e-eligibilty feature worked better, we still believe that, overall, this is the best product on the market for counselors, therapists, or anyone in the mental health field.

Functionality Response time from support staff Easy implementation E-filing is simple (and if a company doesn't accept e-filing, the Therasoft team files the paper copy for me!) Ability to log in from literally anywhere

Cons

I love the customer service and IT help!!! The support staff has assisted me week by week with calls and emails and taught me what I needed to know to get the system to work for me rather than just use it and learn by trial and error. I have not struggled other than the time it takes for data entry of a full practice as I am working full time!

Any time I have had to call for assistance, the response has been prompt and very helpful and courteous. I love the generic forms because creating some of these forms would take hours of time I could better spend increasing clientele. Thank you!

Pros

I love the ease of getting started. After I am familiar with the system, it is easy to use. I like I can have teletherapy in a HIPAA approved format.

Cons

It took me a while to get used to the program. Also would like if there were some pre-loaded ideas in the libraries and homework sections.

This is great for our counseling service. I love that it not only houses our clients, but all their insurance info as well. I can go back pretty far if I need to review items and I love that.

Pros

I love the ease in which I can maneuver around. If I have questions during daytime hours, someone always picks up on 1-2 rings.

Cons

Nothing so far. Still learning some new things and watching videos/following links for things I can't figure out on my own.

Pros

What I like most about this software is that it is so easy to navigate through the system. I also love the fact that it notifies you as a counselor of everything that transpires within your practice. Great!!!!!! I love it!!!! It makes running my practice effective.

Cons

Honestly, there is nothing that I like least about this software. Thanks Therasoft!

This stand a lone product can literally save a private practice by condensing all aspects of the work into one simple to use and well designed web application. Other software programs has become obsolete in comparison to this product. Also the team is friendly and has a strong work ethic. Helping get the work done is obviously their passion. Therasoftonline has saved me money and helped me keep the lights on!

Pros

Very useful in the multidimensional format covering scheduling, bookkeeping, electronic billing, payment tracking, note writing, report writing, ease of use in transferring data to other software programs including Microsoft Office. Technical support has been fast and accurate over the last 6 months of use.

Cons

Schedule refresh is a little slow.

This option for the management of my practice has fit very well into my solo practice. I have been able to control costs to a significant degree through its ease of use and applicability to the work flow my practice. Jas is a great resource and open to listening to his customers as this product has evolved. I probably need to retrain in order to get up to speed on additional resources that would make my practice even more efficient. My main con has always been that the program grew out of a practice model that demands a lot of data that is inconsistent with a traditional psychotherapy practice. I spoke with Jas a while back where he was considering developing a customer advisory group that I thought and continue to consider a great idea. I believe the slicker the better, the more adaptable to the individual practitioner the better.

TheraSoft offers an enormous amount of features and reports - to the point of feeling quite overwhelming at first. However, because they are SO responsive to questions and requests for support, I have quickly become comfortable with it. I continue to learn new things it can do. So far, I haven't found many things it can't do. I'd like to see them add automatic appointment reminders so that I don't have to remember to send out reminders. However, that is the only feature I can think of that I'm missing in this software. Before we chose this practice management software, I researched all of them. I used to use TherapyAppointment (when it was just me in my practice) and I liked it for the most part, but I feel the additional expense for TheraSoft is justified by the many additional features, especially for a group practice.

Spectacular customer service with Team. Easy to navigate through as well. Also, access to secure email and the clearing house is a great bonus.

Pros

Easy to navigate. Clearly understandable as to what each item is when you go into it. Having the Training videos as well are great.

Cons

Did not have some of the reports we needed. And initially took little bit longer to get going due to some things that needed to be changed during set up. Team took care of everything right away!

Therasoft billing and records management provides a complete system for the mental health therapist practice. Data entry requirements are explained well, and the system does well at catching billing errors immediately, before sending to the clearinghouse. Cons: needed areas of improvement could include updated graphics and report generation/conversions. More specific training videos for in-depth situations would be helpful, too. Pros: the all-in-one feature shows you the next step at a glance. Also, their customer service staff work hard to provide answers and assistance when needed--being completely new to billing, they provided a great deal of help to us when we first began. Overall, our experience with Therasoft has been positive and we look forward to seeing what the company offers in the future.

The construction and development of the Lokahi Life Center, PLLC website was seamless because the team at Therasoft was professional and experienced. They were instrumental in helping us to develop a website that reflected our style and philosophy of patient care. Early in the process one of the developers contacted me and assessed not only a gestalt of what our company wanted to communicate but she also queried about specific detailed information that led us to form a website unique to our company mission and goals. The team guided us through the process making suggestions and recommendations along the way. They were quickly responsive to changes we made and even incorporated original pictures that best reflected who we are as a company. I am recommending the Therasoft team without reservation.

I would love a drop down option for progress notes and a "carry over" option from previous notes.

Pros are that the employees are helpful and knowledgable, as well as, therasoft can do the billing easily. The cons are that it does not communicate (that I know of) with Quickbooks, so I have to enter things in multiple places to make my books match. I have had some difficulties with information saving in the system permanently. Overall therasoft is a great product.

A large number of our users are able to utilize and track their accounting quite accurately using the reports from Therasoft and do periodic entries into Quickbooks without having to enter all the individual data. Pros

I enjoy how user friendly it is. Most things can be easily found by looking for them. Also, the customer service is fabulous. If you can't figure something out, send an email, and they get back to you usually in the same day.

Cons

I wish there was a streamlined way to upload emails into client folders for documentation. If possible, it would be great if you could email directly through there using your common address.

REALLY disappointed in the choice for merchant services. It was given a C- by the better business bureau. That is frustrating when better options exist. It is not possible to quickly/efficiently access notes to identify any issues from the previous session or homework that may have been given. The intake has MASSIVELY repetitive substance abuse issues. I like the opportunity to bill multiple sessions as once, but the diagnosis on the receipt makes it useless. Can't email diagnosis since it is personal health information without specific permission. Reports function REALLY cumbersome and not user friendly. The option to choose office is nice for multiple office agencies. The ability to have scheduling, merchant services, attendance and billing in one place is very nice.

All members of their team are so helpful and answer my questions patiently. I haven't taken advantage of all of their services, but I'm looking forward to my continued work with them in the future.

We picked Therasoft because it included a scheduling calendar, assessment tools, treatment planning, and payment tracking. We have now started using electronic insurance claims processing and are delighted with how easy it is. New features have been added over the 18 months we have used this package and we have been delighted. Customer Service has been great. We created our website through the affiliated program and it is great that clients can go to our site, pre-register and then we call and schedule them. There are still features we have not yet explored but as our business grows we will expand our use of the product. We have recommended it to other practices in our area and they have been amazed with how easy it is to use and are thrilled to.

It's streamlined my billing and saved what took hours of account management. Clients love the appointment reminders (I do wish there was a quicker way to schedule the reminders to automatically send as I often find clicking each indiv. Appt is cumbersome). I've noticed that there seem to be glitches whenever insurance posts and it take a couple days for it to register correctly in the system.

Eventually it seems to work. Eventually. And so this is annoying

Cons

No intuitive sense Have to go to several pages just to input data: why?? Hard to read: font too small and faint and in odd places Have not been paid a penny from all that I have input and sent electronically. Why don't you use COLOR to guide the input of data? That would make sense. I.e., Green for input here, Red for already done. yellow for sent
