I have been using this product for 2 years and I have no complaints. I had been using another company for developing my treatment plans, progress notes and psycho-social history. It was a complicated and unruly system that was not intuitive in its use. Therasoft makes documentation easy. I have recommended this program to all my colleagues. The staff has been cooperative and responsive with any questions or concerns I have had. My only complaint is that I had not known about it sooner!

This is a program designed for counselors either in a small or larger practice. You can bill online and notes are keep online. Being a web based program you are able to sign in from anywhere, like at home when you know you need to catch up on the notes or billing. A con is inputting insurance payments which are ERA. You do one client at a time which makes it easy to over look a client if you are inputting more than one client with a payment. Overall a good professional program.

Pros: Therasoft made converting to their software very easy. The Customer Service was very helpful in getting started by helping with switching the insurance companies and with the initial setup for the program. They have been able to help answer questions or fix things fairly quickly. Cons: There is no written manual--either hard copy or online-- that I can refer to on how to make corrections when I make errors, and I make many, especially when trying to record payments.

Irina and Gene had helped me a lot. They are excellent professionals. Congratulation to have both of them in your team. Everything I asked to adjust or to add to the software it was done very fast. I am very happy and please with everything I am learning and I know I have a long way to go to learn about the program. The only con I heard when I recommend the software to my friends is the price. They think it is above average software in the market for therapist.

the only pro I have is that customer service is great! They tried to help me numerous time. cons; once i put a client in I can't find the info; thought I was paying for something to simplify the process and had writing the stuff is soooooo much easier and faster. For me having it all in tiny, tiny boxes on a calendar was too confusing, would have been better to be able to bring up a client by name or DCN number and see all you needed and completed paperwork there.

I just felt compelled to say that Irina Altman Bailey is absolutely amazing at technical support and customer service!!! I have dealt with quite a few people over the years using the phone as a medium...she is head and shoulders above the rest and deserves to be acknowledged!!!! In these days, where phone calls can be a dread...I actually look forward to talking with her. She is encouraging and knowledgeable and very easy to deal with. Well Done to Irina!!!!

I love the calendar and the process buttons that turn colors so you can tell where everything is at with a quick glance. I would love to be able to build my own reports as I can never figure out exactly what data elements are in the reports that are generated. I would love to have the capacity to enter assessments such as the ASI, GAINS, etc into the system and have a report generated that could be edited for final report. Staff at Therasoft are AMAZING!

When I called customer support to find out how to track patient balances in the software and was told that that wasn't a function that the software included I decided that I needed to find alternate software to do this. I also found many tasks that I had done easily in my previous practice management software to be much more difficult to do. Therasoft seems to focus on the EHR functions and is weak in the practice management and financial management areas.

Therasoftonline staff is wonderful. They took the time to train me and my staff member and were very accommodating when forms needed to be created to line up with our state forms. The software is not only user friendly, but it is just as compatible if not in ways more savvy, than some of the systems I have used in big practices. The price is also more than fair. This software has made me confident that I will be able to run a successful practice.

Therasoft has been a great tool to manage our business. It provides end-to-end capability and makes it a seemless process from customer pre-registration all the way through counselor notes and then to final payment. If I could wish for something, it would be some written documentation on how to some things. Customer service has been terrific! Very quick response and thorough follow up. I always get a usable solution to my questions.

The ease of use is wonderful! The biopsychosocial is a bit longer than what I need, especially in the area of assessing drug and alcohol issues. The only other problem occurs when I generate a Interpretive Summary as all of the information runs together, and it has a lot of grammatical/punctuating problems when it is generated that needs fixed manually. Otherwise, everything else is great and I would definitely recommend this EMR!

I find the record to be mostly great to work with. I wish that I was more easily able to enter insurance companies, change rates, etc, but overall, I find it great. I am particularly happy with my experience with Petra Vaughn. She has been SO helpful and patient with my many requests for assistance! I always appreciate her support, her professional manner, and the timeliness with which she responds to my requests for help!

Pros - the all-in-one calendar, text/email appointment reminders, credit card option directly thru the website, ease of posting payments. Petra and Irina are wonderful! Cons - when scheduling it sometimes jumps to random date for no apparent reason, system frequently runs slow or locks up, needing to log off and log back in or use a different browser, reports are very cumbersome to use. Maybe do a survey just on reports!!

My practice does not take advantage of the full software capabilities, however what we use is most helpful! We never have issues with large learning curves when new admin come on board. They are continuing to add new features and make the product competitive. Overall great experience for us!

This is the only practice management solution for the mental health professional that I would recommend.

Pros

Of all the practice management solutions available for mental health professionals, Therasoft Online is by far the best in terms of content, ease of use, options, and overall services.

Cons

At times, it takes a bit of time to pull up client information.

We have been very pleased with Therasoft, Jas, and Traci. They have been great to answer any question, fix or adapt things we request and make therasoft a wonderful experience.

Cons

Big learning curve and some features that are not flexible do to the platform and our picky wishes.

Plus it with the color coding of tasks, it helps me quickly see what I still need to be addressed regarding a client's session. Plus being able to send out client session reminders helps minimize no-shows, thus making my bottom line much better.

Very positive and I am excitedly awaiting the ipad interface.

Pros

After using another software and outsourcing to a billing service we are liking this web based product better.

Cons

Switching over was a bit labor intensive and disrupted our cash flow a bit, as would be expected by any major change like this. Plan accordingly.

Lately, the customer service has been terrible. As Therasoft grew, we were not able to get our issues resolved as quickly and thouroughly. The user interface is also not great. It is hard to teach and not intuitive. It doesn't have a professional look. In addition, it's too expensive for interns. The apps are underperforming and don't do all that it would be helpful for them to do.
