Having a bunch of handy features all in one place is great, but the user experience could be much better.

Pros

I liked the ability to track payroll, track who is in the office using the employee calendar, and schedule time off or sick days all in one place.

Cons

The software layout could use a lot of work. I felt like I had to re-remember where to access the features each time I wanted to use them.

Paylocity has been a breath of fresh air! Our staff is raving on how easy the system is to navigate and view their personal information such as time off balances, pay stubs, health elections/deductions, etc... The Hiring Managers are now easily able to enter job postings and receive approvals quickly.

Pros

No more printing out onboarding documents! What a huge time saver as a Recruiting Manager and reduction in overhead costs for a business.

Cons

It would be very helpful as a new user to have templates and workflows already loaded but with the ability to revise and save. Every company hires, fires and receives resignation/retirement notices. This would make it easier to hit the ground running. We only had 4 months to get the system up and running and be experts. That left little time to set up templates, etc...

Paylocity is the go-to for HRIS systems! It is so very easy to use and the implementation was super easy

Cons

There was nothing that I felt was not good about the features in Paylocity -best in the game-top tier

Customer service for the win. There is a direct account manager who is very good at responding and providing resources. Each section of the platform has SMEs who are willing to help. However, that can lead to functionality loss from section to section in some areas.

Pros

The seem less transition for my Talent Acquisition team to stay in the platform for communication with hiring managers and candidates. This allows for efficiency and single focus. No need to be in different computer programs or additional trackers.

Cons

There seems to be a high level of security when using the interface in multiple tabs. Many times, even in single use, there are random times you get kicked out and have to log back in.

### "Great platform - easy to navigate "

Overall easy to use platform with great features and they are constantly evolving. While the exciting new features are great and all, I don't always want to schedule a sales call to hear about them. A simple pamphlet or presentation in an email would suffice and save my time.

Pros

The customer support team is super great. They can walk me through my questions and topics pretty well. The platform itself is very easy to navigate and use and there are so many resources provided within the platform itself. Easy to manage employees and keep track of time. I like that it is an all inclusive platform

Cons

Integrating isn't too smooth It seems like I have to schedule a call with the sales team every few months to go over new features and additions and if you don't activate or utilize one of the selected features during a certain period there's a ridiculous reinstallation fee.

Overall it is a useful program, it would just be nice to get accurate and up to date outages and known issues. The help section is nice, but sometimes the instructions on doing something are out of date and incorrect.

Pros

It is easy for employee management as far as being able to see their information in one place. It helps with time management.

Cons

There are a lot of errors and known issues that we call or email about just to find out that it is a known issue. It would be nice to know about them ahead of time so we don't waist time asking for assistance. It would also be helpful to be able to click on View Time Card under the employees assignments and it actually work.

Overall, it's been great. We added spending accounts and COBRA this year to our many service lines through Paylocity. The system is user friendly and all products you add have that "familiar feel" and make the transition for employers and employees that much easier!

Pros

We have several products through Paylocity. The game changer for us was adding online benefits for our employees.

Cons

Sometimes the service tickets can take more time then is ideal when trying to resolve an issue or ask a question.

Great! Great tool that I use all day every work day. Wonderful customer service. We will be with Paylocity for many, many years to come.

Pros

Paylocity saves us so much time with managing hiring, benefits, annual reviews and general employee information. Everything is done in one place and makes our jobs easier. When we have started new projects, Paylocity has always had a tool to streamline the process. The customer support is wonderful and we always receive a quick response. Paylocity is a dream for any HR professional and all members of your organization.

Cons

We use Paylocity as a school and sometimes it does not properly organize our employees, benefits, pay in a way that works for us. We have learned to tweak the system in ways we need to and our accounts manager is always helpful.

It has been good. The customer service is helpful, the system works well and does what we need. We are not using it to its full potential and I need to work on that.

Pros

What I like most is that the fee covers most all of the services we get. No nickel and diming us. They are pretty up front if there is to be an extra fee.

Cons

Reports, sometimes I struggle to get some data out of it. But I am learning and it is getting better.

I use Paylocity daily for time tracking, and have always found the experience to be easy and efficient. I appreciate the paper free option, and the "one stop shopping" feel of having all my relevant employee information in one spot. The HR portal is especially useful. The quick access to my pay and tax information, as well as time off tracking and even our organization's employee navigator tools is essential.

Pros

Paylocity is a wonderful tool for time tracking, easy to use, and provides clear insight into all the details needed as an employee. I can easily find my pay stubs, track and submit time off hours, view relevant tax information, and more. I love how accessible this information is!

Cons

There are times on Paylocity where I need to reach out the administration to unlock rows on my timesheet, for example, when I have sick hours approved for just a partial day and still need to clock hours.

### "Great Customer Support and Vendor Integration"

We recently transition to Paylocity. Our implementation team met with our internal team weekly to make sure our internal customization needs and vendor integration were established. It handles our ATS, HRIS, and payroll needs and has connected with our benefits, recruiting, and background check providers. I utilize Reporting & Insights weekly, and I find the feature to be very user friendly and provides all of the information I need to present information to leadership. Tracking of communication to candidates, instead of through Outlook, has helped our recruiting team through a major initiative where temporary help was brought in and that communication with candidates would have been lost. It's definitely an improvement from our prior vendor!

Pros

Customer service has been extremely responsive, before and after implementation. Customization of user roles, settings, and ATS features has made my life easier.

Cons

Performance Management could be more comprehensive, and the addition of succession planning and 9-box feature would be helpful.

### "Easy Navigation"

I am a lead onboarding coordinator, so I am using Paylocity all day. My team and I find it easy to use and don't have any major complaints. We support staff in setting up their own accounts as well. Though sometimes they struggle to get logged in the first time, we don't get a lot of questions on how to use it once in. I think that is because it is very straight forward and easy to navigate for them.

Pros

Paylocity is pretty straight forward and intuitive to use. By clicking around you are able to easly learn how to navigate the system.

Cons

I wish there was a way to move staff from the recruiting platform straight into onboarding. All personal information that they had previously entered could be transferred over - just like when going to from the onboarding platform to the HR / Payroll side of things.

Pros

My favorite part about Paylocity is the functionality it offers. There are a lot of ways to customize the different modules to make it work for our specific business.

Cons

The piece I like least is that the customer service can be tough to get an answer from at times but this has improved since we started with Paylocity.

I wasn't here to experience implementation, but I have been working to try and "right-size" our systems and make the most of Paylocity. It hasn't been perfect, but overall its better than most. I do believe they are aimed at small to medium sized businesses, but its improving.

Pros

Paylocity's customer service from our dedicated account team is top notch. When we have to use regular customer service, it can be hit-or-miss, but they do generally try and answer our questions in a timely fashion.

Cons

Onboarding. We hire a LOT of employees, and as such we are constantly having onboarding issues. If Paylocity could make onboarding easier, then we would be able to rate it much higher overall.

It's been pretty good - having a support rep directly assigned to our account has been super helpful, as he's been super responsive. Day to day operations using paylocity with our employee population has been very well received as well :)

Pros

The reporting is fairly robust, and runs quickly. It's very easy to use for our employee population in terms of time&labor (clocking in/out, requesting time off, profile visibility, etc). Administratively it's been fairly easy to learn how to use as well.

Cons

Certain functionality pieces. We have 8 different EINs so sometimes it's more hard to 'navigate' within Paylocity when you're trying to look at certain things on a global level. Some items are only available within the company set level or individual EIN level and it's hard to keep track of which is which sometimes.

I don't really have anything to compare it to but I do like how easy the system is to use and that everything is in one place!

Pros

I like the look and ease of Paylocity and that they are continually updating and adding new features.

Cons

Although it's great that you can always get someone on the phone to assist, you may not always get knowledgeable staff or accurate support. You often get assigned new team representatives throughout the year so you never stay with the same person. The reports also could use some work. Even with custom reports you can not always get the information you need.

It's been a bit challenging for the first 6 months with switching from QB payroll in the middle of the year. Tax withholding, deposits, employee records reversed, etc. But, after the year ended, things seem to be much better. It also integrates nicely with my accounting software.

Pros

Customer support has been a very good experience every time I've asked for help. They have been very knowledgeable with timely responses.

Cons

Configuration, making changes to anything, all seems burdensome. I can never find the right menu option for changing the simplest thing.

I used Paylocity years ago at another job, and then had to switch to another payroll processing program. When I stated this new job, I was able to step right in an pick up where I left off, the program is straightforward and easy to navigate. I am so thankful to be back in Paylocity.

Pros

I love using Paylocity to process payroll. I really appreciate the ease of batch processing and being able to make real time edit easily on the fly. It is efficient and flexible.

Cons

Probably part of our set up, but staff using outside time programs, have a hard time figuring out which services are being paid.

Paylocity has been a breath of fresh air. Our old payroll system was antiquated and outdated. Paylocity has really changed the way we handle payroll, as well as the employee experience at our organization. We are trying to build our culture to be stronger and allow more communication for your employees and Paylocity has given us the tools to do so.

Pros

Paylocity has really transformed the ease of payroll. For the employer side, to the employee side, Paylocity has been great for everyone at my organization.

Cons

N/A-There isn't anything I dislike to be honest! I have really enjoyed using all the tools and services provided by Paylocity. The customer service has been great. No bad things to say here!

Pros

User friendly, great customer service. Easy to use and learn. All of my team members use paylocity and love it.

Cons

The I-9 process sometimes is confusing. When the I-9 comes back with errors, it can be confusing to relay information needed to employee.

This is my first year with Paylocity and for the price point it is good other than the customer service side at the end of the year and beginning of the new year.

Pros

I like the price of the Paylocity. It's a good product for the price point. I am still learning about Paylocity.

Cons

I do not like that I have not received a response to a phone and email concern I had. I do not like that during the end of the year and the beginning of the new year we can't get customer service help. I was on hold for over 30 min without a response. I wish we could request specific changes and have customer service work on accommodating our request = example - I have requested to be able to enter a total goal amount of PTO for the year so an employee does not get overpaid. I would like: Hours earned per pay period / Hrs paid YTD / Total Earned Goal Hours for Year

Overall its getting better thanks to an amazing Account Manager \[sensitive content hidden\]. He does an awesome job getting us the assistance needed. It has all the basic functionality you need and would recommend for any employer under 1k employees.

Pros

Very easy to use administratively and even as an employee. Value for money is great. Customer support has improved.

Cons

Not always able to customize to what is needed for our organization. Reporting can be challenging as its not super easy to use. Need more AI throughout the platform.

My experience has been very good. There are always hiccups moving to any system but the timesaving and ease of this platform will meet our needs for years to come.

Pros

We have the full package and it streamlines all areas without repetition. The Time and Labor works nicely with the main system and the payroll processing is extremely easier

Cons

They do updates with no notice or warning. Sometimes the support team gets too busy and left waiting for answers.
