### "Paylocity Pros and Cons"

It has it's pros and cons. It all depends on the complexity of your business. For smaller companies with less complexity, this is a great solution. If more customization is needed, Paylocity can help, but it may take more time to get the tools that are needed for your business.

Pros

The interface is very user friendly. Our employees are happy with the web and mobile interface. The community feature has been great to help increase collaboration with our field team members who don't spend their day-to-day on a computer. The implementation team did a great job in addressing our needs and supporting as best as they could to provide solutions to our needs.

Cons

The lack of connection between modules. They need to speak more to each other. Recruiting information doesn't transfer to onboarding, as an example.

Wonderful and helpful. I am happy we moved from Paychex to Paylocity. From the launching of the HRIS to its current services.

Pros

The excellent, detailed customer service. Also appreciate the smooth operations of the products. Thank you.

Cons

The current way employees' pto hours (dates) are being recorded on their portal, I wish it would report the actual dates employees use their pto.

The easiest aspect of Paylocity has been running payroll itself, though even that has an occasional hiccup. Through workarounds, I've been able to smooth those out, but I shouldn't have to do workarounds with a system that's supposed to make it as effortless as possible.

Pros

The app is fairly simple to use and makes it easy for hourly employees to clock in and out. Likewise, tracking hourly employees hours during the current pay period is easy, as is editing and making corrections to timesheets when needed.

Cons

Settings and reporting are incredibly convoluted. It may seem as if you're making an adjustment to a setting, the setting you actually need is in a completely different section of the platform. And the knowledge base isn't very easy to navigate to try and figure out these settings. Same with reporting; you may need to run several different reports to find what you're actually looking for.

It has been positive. Frequent enhancements continue to advance the functionality to keep relevant and up to date with changing needs.

Pros

Paylocity is an excellent all-encompassing HRIS system with all the features a modern, innovative HR office needs.

Cons

Employees can't add individual training to their learning record. This would be a great enhancement.

Overall Paylocity has been great. I can easily get in contact with someone from customer service any time I come into issues. There have been few issues I have come across and Paylocity continues to develop and update their features.

Pros

Paylocity is very user friendly. Prior to starting with my current company, I had never used Paylocity but I was easily able to figure things out and many questions can be answered in the peak articles.

Cons

I wish the app was more user friendly. For example, our performance reviews are done in paylocity but staff are unable to sign their review in the app so this causes delays in approvals because staff then need to find a computer to complete their review. Also, internal job postings should be in the app as well.

It has been great, it works for our team members especially coming from a PEO. Payroll is way faster too.

Pros

They are prompt with communication and the system is easy to use for our team members. It used to take me hours to do payroll and now it takes maybe 20 mins max.

Cons

It does take a little too long to get product enhancements even if you submit a request. I do submit enhancements when I can and encourage my team too, but usually no follow up after that.

Overall I believe they have a great product and are constantly evolving. I enjoy the monthly product updates and find them very helpful.

Pros

Customer support is knowledgeable and well trained to answer most questions. When I call they are able to answer the questions I have asked and they also send me reference articles for future use.

Cons

Their training catalog (it's all over the place). When searching for topics it would be easier to list the by subject matter and then use a filter to further search.

So far my employees have said it has been a big upgrade from the previous payroll provider. The overall engagement has been on the upswing.

Pros

The user experience has been great so far. Support has been top notch through implementation. And the integrations have been an awesome addition. The community page is a great way to get multiple sites involved with one another.

Cons

It is a little too early to tell but there hasn't been one thing that stands out. There is a lot of information and modules to master, but it is only a matter of time.

Overall, I am pleased with our experiences with Paylocity. The customer support is definitely my biggest takeaway. I would be happy to suggest Paylocity as an option to other companies if shopping for HRIS's.

Pros

For me, the customer support is top notch. Shout out to \[sensitive content hidden\] and her team for their quick responses and willingness to always jump on a call to discuss. The knowledge they possess to help us address issues and/or make enhancements to our processes by utilizing the Paylocity features is extremely helpful and supportive.

Cons

Some features need enhancements. I do like that you can leave feedback but I do also feel as though we hear "there is a PDR for that" a lot.

Like any HRIS, it just doesn't seem to be the solution it poses itself to be. While they do a nice job of selling you on the functionality, the reality is that it doesn't tick all the boxes, especially in a mid-size hospitality company.

Pros

It is fairly easy to navigate. For anyone who doesn't have a background in HRIS, using Paylocity shouldn't require too much of a learning curve.

Cons

A lot of the functionality either does not work as described or is not intuitive. We also tend to experience a lot of 'errors' - one of which we have been experiencing for over a year that the development team is aware of but has not fixed. It requires manual action to resolve by our internal team every time, sometimes multiple times a day.

We have had a good experience with Paylocity, with our onboarding needs, our payroll needs and our HR filing and reporting overall!

Pros

As an HR Assistant, working across all the departments, I love how easy it is to navigate employees, and setting up things as a newer company. We learned a lot from Paylocity help with getting it the way we wanted, which has been tremendous.

Cons

There have been some glitchy issues that have had to get sorted with our reporting and LMS system, and while it did take time as it was a larger scale issue, they were able to help us find some alternative options to get what we needed.

Overall pretty good system. We left and came back and hated ADP so we regretted leaving Paylocity. I am glad we came back as I was not here when they left to ADP but I was here to bring us back to Paylocity, it was my recommendation to do so and glad we did.

Pros

Good value for the cost. All in one system, it encompasses literally everything we need. I think the system is user friendly and a good performance management and ATS and Learning Management module as well.

Cons

My implementation was not the best but we managed thru it. It may not have been the norm for them since we were coming back to them. I wish they would not rotate reps, when we get acclimated to one they change sometimes.

Overall we have been happy with Paylocity. They have come a long way with improvements. They have been very proactive with updating their system to make it easier and more fluid.

Pros

The newest version is easy to use. You don't have to wait on hold forever if you call in and they answer emails promptly. Price is competitive for this market.

Cons

Some changes to your configurations, you need to call in to have changed. It would be more helpful if everything is self-configurable. The online app needs more features for the supervisors to make changes.

Cons

The simplicity was a double-edged sword. It wasn’t very customizable, which made it harder to tailor to more complex or evolving needs.

Overall experience is good! I believe they can make some improvements with certain aspects but overall, it is a user friendly HRIS and we've been satisfied.

Pros

I really like the onboarding portal and the employee profile set up. Paylocity is pretty easy to navigate and support is always readily available if issues arise.

Cons

The time off set up is not very user friendly and has been a pain point in our company. We previously used BambooHR and they allowed time off requests to be edited and allowed for submission of multiple days at a time with different amount of hours per day. I believe if Paylocity would implement something like this, it would be more user friendly. In our business, time off requests change frequently and having to manually update the balance each time or deleting the request entirely and resubmitting it is frustrating. We also have employees who might take a half day for 3 days in a row followed by one whole day, which the system doesn't allow for individual day customization - just hours requesting off per day and that applies to all days within the request.

Paylocity truly is a fantastic system & I often brag about them to my HR counter parts. As an HR party of 1, I simply would not be able to do my job efficiently without Paylocity!

Pros

The ease of learning and setting up automation! Coming from my previous Company as an ADP superuser, I wasn't excited about having to learn a whole new system. But Paylocity made it simple & I quickly was able to customize our system to my needs!

Cons

Often when you call customer support, depending on who you speak with you could get multiple different answers.

Overall, the functionality is ok. The support and integrations are less than desirable. The reporting function is helpful but not inclusive.

Pros

Most applications are user friendly. While reporting capabilities could be better, PL does provide a solid reporting foundation.

Cons

Customer support - In the 2 years I have been using Paylocity at this company, we have only had one dedicated and loyal representative who provided support on a monthly basis and thorough follow-up. Unfortunately, the good noes get promoted!

Paylocity has been a great partner for us. We have enjoyed getting to learn and use the new system. The Self-Service Portal has a lot of information and keeps employees informed.

Pros

We researched various HR and Payroll platforms and chose Paylocity as they had the best bang for the buck. The Implementation team was thorough and made the transition easy. Service is prompt and efficient. It is nice to have everything on one system.

Cons

The performance management system is great, but didn't meet all our needs with having the ability to sign off through a flowchart. We are waiting to have HR contact assigned.

### "Great but Service and Software Bugs Need to Improve"

If the service continues to improve and bugs get worked out before software updates are released, then I will be extremely satisfied. Those are the major things lacking right now.

Pros

It is simple and efficient to use for the most part. Payroll is not time-consuming at all and digital onboarding helps a ton.

Cons

Service. I have had much troubles in the past getting my service requests completed in a timely manner. It has been better the last several months, but the first 4 years were a train-wreck. It was incredibly hard to get anything done efficiently and our account manager changed all the time. I also think that the new updates to Paylocity should be heavily tested before being released to the clients. There are SO many bugs that are not worked out that are a huge inconvenience to us. It should be simple to test thoroughly and work out the kinks BEFORE launching to the clients.

Pros

Melissa White was a PHENOMENAL account manager. I appreciate being able to send screenshots and emails to a designated email and calling in to a line.

Cons

Many of the platforms are not intuitive for example requesting time off or changing a direct deposit. Many of the features available online are not available on the mobile app. We've had a different account manager almost every year. It is very inconvenient that we cannot have multiple Paylocity screens open without being logged out of one.

So far, my experience with paylocity has been a positive one from set up to actively working with the website and app.

Pros

I like the ease of use of the app/website. I also like that their customer service is quick to respond and answer my questions or point me in the right direction. I would also have to compliment my implementation team. They were extremely helpful and made sure there were no issues during implementation!

Cons

I have not had any issues as of yet to truly answer this question. If I had to pick one thing though, it would be that I could not keep my implementation specialist as my customer service team leader!

Positive - user friendly, holds a lot of information for storage, easy to access account managers. New features keep the platform fresh.

Pros

So easy to contact our account manager through call/email, and if not available, another account manager is always on standby to help us out. Easy to talk to.

Cons

Sometimes the website can be a bit glitchy - on the admin & employee side. For example, not receiving a password reset email, unable to access time & labor timesheets, etc.

some good-current updates some bad-time and labor needs to be user friendly, when processing payroll due to the time sensitivity of payroll submission.

Pros

ease of use, PAYLOCITY IS EASY TO LEAN AND USE. THE UPDATES TO THE SYSTEM OVERVIEW ARE SUTTLE AMD CONVINEINT.

Cons

updating the time/labor cost centers, it would be nice to be able to use the tab instead of the mouse.
