### "Needs work"

November 21, 2025

3.0

It has been rocky. Our current team of representatives are great at helping us fix our issues or listening to our needs. But even they can't fix all of the internal issues the product has.

Pros

I like that it has all of the different features of HR available: Payroll, Benefits, Scheduling, etc. I really like testing out changes in the Carbon site.

Cons

Although it has many different features, most of them don't talk to one another. And a lot of them don't work as intended. It needs a lot of smoothing out.

### "Easy to run basic payroll once you understand it but challenging in area of support or help"

July 6, 2026

3.0

Once you know how to do something, it's alright. Otherwise, it's very hard to understand unless you specialize in payroll. I find it very frustrating to get things fixed or to add new things. I really wish there was a solution that was easier for anyone to run.

Pros

Out of the payroll programs out there, it does appear to be one of the easiest to manage for someone who is not an HR specialist.

Cons

As a layperson, I find the help articles vastly in need of improvement. They should have videos showing you how to do things. They also need to make clear at the start of a training module that it is only if your company is subscribed to X product type. Support is usually good, but recently I have been attempting to add a product, and I've now had to follow up 3-4 times just to get someone to reply, and I'm still waiting!

### "Paylocity Review"

February 12, 2026

5.0

I appreciate the phone number for instant feedback. I usually get my questions answered or elevated via the help-number.

Pros

I really appreciate how seamless and integrated Paylocity is across all modules. It truly feels like a one-stop shop for performance reviews, benefits administration, payroll, time tracking, and reporting. Having everything housed in one system improves efficiency, reduces duplicate work, and makes it easier to manage employee data accurately. The employee-facing side is also intuitive, which helps with adoption and minimizes questions

Cons

At times, backend module creation and configuration can feel a bit clunky or less intuitive than expected. Certain setup processes require extra steps or troubleshooting, especially when building new workflows or customizing modules. While the functionality is there, the user experience on the admin side could be smoother and more streamlined.

### "GAME CHANGING !"

September 25, 2025

5.0

Paylocity is very intuitive and easy to use. The training was thorough, and the trainers made the process enjoyable. The learning portal has been an excellent resource as well. We use a couple of the modules, and each one has impressed us with its functionality and ease of use. We are looking into adding more in the new year.

Pros

The Time & Labor module has been an absolute game-changer for us. Even staff that was resistant came around quickly with the ease of use.

Cons

When reaching out to customer service by email, the response time hasn’t been very strong. We typically have to call in order to get assistance, which can be inconvenient and disruptive.

### "Almost Perfect!"

February 3, 2026

4.0

I've really enjoyed my experience with Paylocity overall. The biggest thing going for them outside of a user-friendly platform is the quick response times and resolution from Service teams.

Pros

Ease of use, customization, quick customer service response times, benefits integration, and ability to build your own workflows with ease.

Cons

The reporting abilities in Paylocity could be improved. Specifically, the benefits census is done on multiples lines per employee instead of one row per person. Service said this can't be fixed.

It has been good, other than the continuous EDI feed issues that we are facing and is working with the team to fix it.

Pros

The HR and Payroll Management, Surveys, Learning, and Training modules are very well done and useful.

Cons

The Benefit Module, EDI-related issues have been continuous for the past few months and we have been working with Paylocity team to get these resolved

### "Employee Lifecycle"

February 26, 2026

4.0

We use several platforms within Paylocity, and I really appreciate how seamlessly they integrate throughout the employee lifecycle.

Pros

Paylocity is user friendly for both administrators and employees. We also utilize multiple platforms within the system to support the entire employee lifecycle.

Cons

Once your account is set up, the system runs smoothly. I haven’t encountered any significant issues and don’t have any particular dislikes.

### "Simple but Powerful HR Platform "

February 26, 2026

Pros

Customer Support is top tier. This is my second organization that I am using Paylocity at, and I am extremely happy with the ease of use.

Cons

Some of the feature enhancements made processing payroll a little more difficult, however I have been using Paylocity for so long that I understand why the features needed an upgrade.

### "It works most of the time"

November 7, 2025

4.0

Overall it is a useful program, it would just be nice to get accurate and up to date outages and known issues. The help section is nice, but sometimes the instructions on doing something are out of date and incorrect.

Pros

It is easy for employee management as far as being able to see their information in one place. It helps with time management.

Cons

There are a lot of errors and known issues that we call or email about just to find out that it is a known issue. It would be nice to know about them ahead of time so we don't waist time asking for assistance. It would also be helpful to be able to click on View Time Card under the employees assignments and it actually work.

### "Paylocity Pros and Cons"

February 26, 2026

4.0

It has it's pros and cons. It all depends on the complexity of your business. For smaller companies with less complexity, this is a great solution. If more customization is needed, Paylocity can help, but it may take more time to get the tools that are needed for your business.

Pros

The interface is very user friendly. Our employees are happy with the web and mobile interface. The community feature has been great to help increase collaboration with our field team members who don't spend their day-to-day on a computer. The implementation team did a great job in addressing our needs and supporting as best as they could to provide solutions to our needs.

Cons

The lack of connection between modules. They need to speak more to each other. Recruiting information doesn't transfer to onboarding, as an example.

### "One-Stop Shop"

November 21, 2025

5.0

Customer service for the win. There is a direct account manager who is very good at responding and providing resources. Each section of the platform has SMEs who are willing to help. However, that can lead to functionality loss from section to section in some areas.

Pros

The seem less transition for my Talent Acquisition team to stay in the platform for communication with hiring managers and candidates. This allows for efficiency and single focus. No need to be in different computer programs or additional trackers.

Cons

There seems to be a high level of security when using the interface in multiple tabs. Many times, even in single use, there are random times you get kicked out and have to log back in.

### "Paylocity, Excellent products and customer services"

Wonderful and helpful. I am happy we moved from Paychex to Paylocity. From the launching of the HRIS to its current services.

Pros

Cons

Overall, it has been a great experience. Implantation was done poorly and there are areas of correction needed that Paylocity cannot fix, leaving it to the company to make manual adjustments.

Pros

I enjoy how the platform integrates and streamlines all HR functions, payroll and recruiting. We can easily track clearances and credentials to remain in compliance with the regulations we follow.

Cons

### "LSG review"

April 22, 2026

Product was easy to navigate; they just needed better customer support. They also need an employee line when our employees call for help in getting access to log in.

Pros

It was easy to learn and navigate through. I managed to learn most of the system on my own. Other than customer support and customer service it was great.

Cons

Customer service and support. Whenever I called in for help I got a little attitude and most of the time, I was told someone will get back to me after they look int the situation and I sometimes I was the one calling back to follow up.

### "Great platform - easy to navigate "

October 10, 2025

4.0

Overall easy to use platform with great features and they are constantly evolving. While the exciting new features are great and all, I don't always want to schedule a sales call to hear about them. A simple pamphlet or presentation in an email would suffice and save my time.

Pros

The customer support team is super great. They can walk me through my questions and topics pretty well. The platform itself is very easy to navigate and use and there are so many resources provided within the platform itself. Easy to manage employees and keep track of time. I like that it is an all inclusive platform

Cons

Integrating isn't too smooth It seems like I have to schedule a call with the sales team every few months to go over new features and additions and if you don't activate or utilize one of the selected features during a certain period there's a ridiculous reinstallation fee.

### "Easy and effective tool for both employees and employers!"

November 4, 2025

5.0

I use Paylocity daily for time tracking, and have always found the experience to be easy and efficient. I appreciate the paper free option, and the "one stop shopping" feel of having all my relevant employee information in one spot. The HR portal is especially useful. The quick access to my pay and tax information, as well as time off tracking and even our organization's employee navigator tools is essential.

Pros

Paylocity is a wonderful tool for time tracking, easy to use, and provides clear insight into all the details needed as an employee. I can easily find my pay stubs, track and submit time off hours, view relevant tax information, and more. I love how accessible this information is!

Cons

There are times on Paylocity where I need to reach out the administration to unlock rows on my timesheet, for example, when I have sick hours approved for just a partial day and still need to clock hours.

### "A decent option "

December 17, 2025

4.0

Paylocity is a decent HRIS, especially for companies that don’t require a lot of customization. While the assigned team model is a major benefit, increased flexibility would make the platform much more effective for evolving HR needs.

Pros

I’ve used Paylocity for over five years in an HR role, and it has been a generally reliable platform for payroll and HR functions. Having an assigned account management team is a big plus and helps with continuity

Cons

It offers a lot of functionality in one system, but flexibility can be a challenge. Some changes require workarounds rather than true system solutions. Also, administrators must use two separate logins (employee vs. administrator).

### "Glad I made the move to Paylocity for Payroll and HR!"

November 12, 2025

5.0

Overall, Paylocity has been great and I am very pleased that we decided to switch to them this past year.

Pros

It was the easiest transition that I have been through in my career and the customer support during that was the best. Even now that we are live, the support is great. Our employees also seem to be more engaged with this system.

Cons

There are some limitations in what I can write as a report and I am not able to update a code for how I want it to post to the ledger from payroll, but I'm not sure if that is a pro or a con.

Overall, I am pleased with our experiences with Paylocity. The customer support is definitely my biggest takeaway. I would be happy to suggest Paylocity as an option to other companies if shopping for HRIS's.

Pros

For me, the customer support is top notch. Shout out to \[sensitive content hidden\] and her team for their quick responses and willingness to always jump on a call to discuss. The knowledge they possess to help us address issues and/or make enhancements to our processes by utilizing the Paylocity features is extremely helpful and supportive.

Cons

### "Not perfect, but working on it."

November 7, 2025

4.0

I wasn't here to experience implementation, but I have been working to try and "right-size" our systems and make the most of Paylocity. It hasn't been perfect, but overall its better than most. I do believe they are aimed at small to medium sized businesses, but its improving.

Pros

Paylocity's customer service from our dedicated account team is top notch. When we have to use regular customer service, it can be hit-or-miss, but they do generally try and answer our questions in a timely fashion.

Cons

Onboarding. We hire a LOT of employees, and as such we are constantly having onboarding issues. If Paylocity could make onboarding easier, then we would be able to rate it much higher overall.

### "Good Not Great "

November 24, 2025

4.0

I don't really have anything to compare it to but I do like how easy the system is to use and that everything is in one place!

Pros

I like the look and ease of Paylocity and that they are continually updating and adding new features.

Cons

Although it's great that you can always get someone on the phone to assist, you may not always get knowledgeable staff or accurate support. You often get assigned new team representatives throughout the year so you never stay with the same person. The reports also could use some work. Even with custom reports you can not always get the information you need.

. I used Paylocity at a prior position and had a very positive experience with the platform. After spending several years working with a competitor that was difficult to navigate and less efficient, it really highlighted how much more user-friendly and streamlined Paylocity is. I’m happy to be using Paylocity again.

Pros

February 26, 2026

Overall, I’m very happy with Paylocity. The platform is user-friendly, reliable, and makes it easy to manage payroll and HR tasks efficiently. It has streamlined many of our processes and saved us time, and the support team has been responsive whenever we’ve had questions.

Pros

The top two things I like most about Paylocity are how simplified the payroll process is and how little time it takes to complete. I’m also impressed with their customer service — I can always reach someone quickly and get the answers I need.

Cons

There was a bit of a learning curve during implementation, but it improved once I became more familiar with the system
