I love all the learning opportunities I have access too with Paylocity. There are some items that my company pays for that I feel is a great value for me not having to do the heavy lifting of certain processes. Pros I like the ease of using Paylocity. I can find everything in a spot that makes sense and if I can't find something the AI search is really helpful. Also, like the access to the articles for further learning, allowing more ease of my usage on this site. Cons If I had to pick, I guess not being able to ask our account manager at ease. Though I have no problems with the other Paylocity employees that help when account manager is not available, it would just be nice to work with a certain team more consistently. There are many functions available! Very customizable to your organization. Excited for the continuous upgrades. Customer service has always been great, they are always able to assist you. Cons There are so many functions you have to really learn how to utilize all the functions, you still get your moneys worth but the more you learn and set up the easier it has been to use. Overall I am satisfied. Pros Has a wide variety of product features to fit your needs. Each module is fairly simple and easy to navigate. Cons At time there is a long response time to customer service email inquires. The full side affects of an implemented change are not always explained; probably because there are no many features. Pros The ease of use. The company already had Paylocity when I started, however there would be things that I would've implemented differently if I was working here when Paylocity was implemented. Cons The reporting isn't very user dynamic, which makes it hard to filter things in Excel. The customer service isn't great, we've had numerous changes in Account Managers and are directed to Peak articles frequently. I probably wouldn't recommend it if someone is looking for something innovative or user-friendly. Pros There are several features that cover a broad range of needs. I appreciate how many of the features are "a la carte" and not necessarily required to be purchased as part of a greater package. Cons Customer support is virtually non existent. While there are many support persons, they often act as a liaison between the client and Paylocity's (often outdated) support articles. Paylocity continuously updates their platform without updating said articles or educating their support team. I often have to ask the same question multiple times before getting an adequate response, which is usually not timely. I also find myself frustrated by all the different areas you have to go to make a singular update. It's like the different features and sections do not cross-communicate. Review Source AP Agnes P. It is a quick way to access all the important areas for scheduling, time keeping etc. and simple to edit as needed. Pros Overall, very easy to use as an administrator and the team feels it is simple to navigate as well. A good value for the investment. Love the app too! Pros Our organization uses from Paylocity for payroll, onboarding, performance review managmenet, ACA compliance and Surveys. It is truly a one-stop-shop for us and makes managing employees easier for our growing organizaition. Cons The customer support either be really great or terrible. The functionality and suite of products is abundant and offers opportunity for pretty much any type of business to utilize Paylocity. Cons Sometimes it is a little difficult to get ahold of our account representative but when they are unavailable, others are always available to assist. When it comes to construction companies, Paylocity is not a good fit. I would never recommend Paylocity to any construction company out there. Pros Their Payroll System is user friendly. When it comes to payroll, if you do not have billable hours or wages that you need to track, it is very easy to do so. Cons Their support team really does not know what they are doing. Almost every call that I make, I find out the answer before the support person does. Once in a blue moon do I actually get someone that understands what I really need help on when I call for support. Pros It is an all-encompassing HRIS system that handles all needs in one place. It eliminates the need to have multiple different software. Cons Not having automatic communication ability. It would be nice if the system automatically notified employees their leave is ending based on information in the system. The ease of use and visually appealing interface is the best I've used. The Paylocity team has been responsive when any small issue comes up. Pros Very user friendly. Has everything I would need as a employee and admin. I love being able to toggle back and forth between timesheets, employee information and recruiting. Cons Constant updates keep changing the location of links. Wish there was some sort of heads up or follow up when changing the location of links to make accessibility better. The platform is user-friendly, reliable, and makes it easy to manage payroll and HR tasks efficiently. It has streamlined many of our processes and saved us time, and the support team has been responsive whenever we’ve had questions. Pros The top two things I like most about Paylocity are how simplified the payroll process is and how little time it takes to complete. I’m also impressed with their customer service — I can always reach someone quickly and get the answers I need. Pros Very user friendly. Good customer support. Enjoy the use of the AI Assistant to find articles or help guide me to the right place. Cons Sometimes it is hard to get a response if you email a question. We have had a lot of Account Manager changes. The music when you are on hold is super annoying. Cons The customer support is lacking, often when I need support I get a fact sheet sent to me when I could have simply found that myself. Pros Easy to find any report I may need. If I have questions on how to do things there is Easy to follow step by step instructions in the help tab. Cons The only thing I really don't like is that it's harder to review total regular hours for only hourly employees on a payroll run with the new run payroll update. The support when we do not know how to do something is great also. Cons Not always being able to speak with our Account Manager. When I have an issue, its a simple phone call. Pros The PCTY system is very robust, and although I am still learning, they have great support and the system is easy to use. It's been a great value to us having everything in one system - payroll, time and attendance and benefits. Cons Because the system is so robust and customizable, it's hard to learn/know everything you can and cannot do. Sometimes you end up learning through mistakes, which isn't ideal but with a system like this its expected. Payroll set-up was the hardest integration and working with various subject matter experts were difficult at times. Pros I like the ease of use of the system and my account manager is always there to support me. The functions are easy to use. Cons The integration was a bit problematic but Paylocity did a good job to mediate the situation. I would have liked to have 1 subject matter expert on all functions that would have helped the integration. With every system there are pros and cons but Paylocity seems to have more Pros than Cons. Pros I like the ease of use of this product. I was able to run reports, look up employee information and do basic functions on the first day without any assistance or prior knowledge. Cons I do not like the constant change in representatives and the call in line. I wish it were exceptional but I'm not sure any system can satisfy everyone. Pros The system is relatively easy to use and serves a purpose. Customer support is generally good and reliable. Cons Too many "known issues" with no fix dates in sight. Some compliance related. Some have been outstanding for YEARS (plural). Communication of issues is essentially non-existent. From the payroll processing side to the onboarding tools to the employee self portal. Pros The updates and features that continually make the product better and more user friendly are great! They always incorporate things to make the system more friendly and easy to use. Cons The layers of steps it takes to create a payroll batch seems a bit burdensome. Also there seems to be little organization in the Reports section, with pages and pages full of reports. Just makes it difficult to find.
