I work for a company that uses for pay checks, notifications, and Paid time off. It is helpful to see all of those things under one platform.

Pros

I like how I can see my auto deposited paycheck every other Friday so I can double check that it is correct.

Cons

So far, I have not run into any problems with . Sometimes my PTO gets messed up but when I bring it up to management it gets fixed.

My overall experience with has been great. Generally speaking, emails are returned within a day or two, and if I need something urgent, I rarely have to stay on hold for longer than a few minutes.

Pros

I like how customizable is. There are so many workflows we can build out to meet our needs.

Cons

I wish that the Time & Labor and HR section would sync more regularly. I frequently have to manually calculate employee leave time balance.

Overall, 10/10. I have worked in Workday, Paycor, Paycom, and ADP just to name a few and is the absolute best.

Pros

I absolutely love my account manager, the customer service, ease of use, everything! I also love the different options of things, including garnishment set up. Makes things so much easier.

Cons

I do not like the changes. If something is working well why change it? I know that there are warnings, but I still do not like changes.

Pros

Very user friendly both for the organization and its employees. There are many functions available! Very customizable to your organization. Excited for the continuous upgrades. Customer service has always been great, they are always able to assist you.

Cons

There are so many functions you have to really learn how to utilize all the functions, you still get your moneys worth but the more you learn and set up the easier it has been to use.

Great experience, and with any software there's a learning curve as any new problem or issue arises and the best steps on handling it.

Pros

Customer Support is always quick to respond and help aid in a solution to any problem. Setting up new fields is handled in quick response everytime.

Cons

Ability to hands on fix issues without having to open a ticket. An option to correct a filing or payroll to reverse an error that was made in a quick and easy option would be a great feature.

Its an in-depth application that does many things other apps don't or can't. The services offered on the HR, Time & Labor and benefits sides are plentiful. The downside is that because of this the room for errors is also plentiful.

Pros

Its capabilities for doing multi company payrolls and time and labor seamless export to a payroll batch.

Cons

There are a lot of areas that can trip up a payroll processor or HR user. The help function isn't always helpful. It can be difficult to find the info you need.

The possibilities with seem endless. The functionality and suite of products is abundant and offers opportunity for pretty much any type of business to utilize Paylocity.

Sometimes it is a little difficult to get ahold of our account representative but when they are unavailable, others are always available to assist.

A reliable HRIS partner that provides amazing support, relevance and seamless day to day operations. They implementation of their Al features enhances the service they can provide. They also have robust report offerings including custom options.

Pros

The customer support from the from implementation to continued day to day use is so impressive! Their knowledge and ability to answer questions and resolve issues is impressive. There is rarely a wait time to connect with a live agent when calling them.

Cons

A few aspects in navigating the system requires slight a learning curve. Drop down options or scrolling to the bottom of a page and saving, or knowing some of their terminology can take a few tries to remember.

is a program that I would recommend for small to midsize companies that need their payrolls processed accurately the FIRST time.

Pros

has several built in checks and balances to make sure your payroll is right the first time. There are several places in the process one can stop and verify that what you entered is giving the expected and desired results.

Cons

Reporting is sometimes clunky and hard to manage. Guessing which report will give one the needed information can sometimes be frustrating.

We have been so happy with all the funcialities that provides to our organization and the customization to our organization as well.

Pros

Our organization uses from for payroll, onboarding, performance review managmenet, ACA compliance and Surveys. It is truly a one-stop-shop for us and makes managing employees easier for our growing organizaition.

Cons

The customer support either be really great or terrible. It really depends on who you get on the other line. That is not a deal breaker but it can be frustrating at times.

Pros

It is an all-encompassing HRIS system that handles all needs in one place. It eliminates the need to have multiple different software.

Cons

Not having automatic communication ability. It would be nice if the system automatically notified employees their leave is ending based on information in the system.

Cons

Customer support is often incorrect when providing guidance. Many rude employees. Appears they aren't properly trained on the product.

Overall it has been good. Transition to was very smooth. There were some bumps with Implementation overall but that is to be expected. When you get the right person on the phone, they are super helpful.

Pros

Very user friendly. Good customer support. Enjoy the use of the AI Assistant to find articles or help guide me to the right place.

Cons

Sometimes it is hard to get a response if you email a question. We have had a lot of Account Manager changes. The music when you are on hold is super annoying. (I know this isn't that important but maybe they can switch it up?!)

Pros

They are constantly adding new features, and trying to make sure that all of our needs are met. We've transitioned quite a few functions to their service. They also have multiple ways to take feedback from users to help get new ideas implemented. They are integrated with a lot of third party systems, and that list grows often.

Cons

They are constantly adding new features. I know I listed that as what I like best, but that often means that some things are moved, and constant updates, especially over the last several months, can become burdensome. Trying to stay up to date with everything and how it functions is nearly impossible.

We've been with for several years now and have had a great experience overall. Getting service when needed is easy and they are always helpful and polite.

Pros

The employee time import into the new payroll run feature is so simple and fast, it makes running payroll so smooth.

Cons

The only thing I really don't like is that it's harder to review total regular hours for only hourly employees on a payroll run with the new run payroll update.

Generally speaking, is a good program, though it is not very intuitive. The connection between payroll and HR is missing something once everything is set up.

Pros

Payroll is relatively straight-forward and easy to process. The Service Reps are helpful and easy to talk with.

Cons

The disconnect between payroll, deductions, benefits, etc. is frustrating and difficult at times. Also, implementation was a bust.

Good, I do like . It is easy to navigate and find what you are looking for. Our employees find it easy to navigate as well.

Pros

I love the interface, is easy to navigate and find what you are looking for. Paylocity offers everything you need for a payroll company.

Cons

Some of the functions are not available consistently, multiple times a week we will get error messages with portions of not working. I also wish the Recruiting platform was more robust with additional options to post jobs to other websites without additional costs.

My overall experience with is good. With every system there are pros and cons but Paylocity seems to have more Pros than Cons.

Pros

I like the ease of use of this product. I was able to run reports, look up employee information and do basic functions on the first day without any assistance or prior knowledge.

Cons

I do not like the constant change in representatives and the call in line. I never seem to get the right person

I previously used another HRIS platform and have transitioned to over the last 6 months. The ease of use when navigating through the system has been such a help in creating an easy flow from process to process. Paylocity has created the best easy to navigate Payroll processes out of the HRIS systems.

Pros

I like the amount of reports that are available and created. The user friendly accessibility for someone just learning to use payroll has been largely beneficial to ensuring compliance and has created a very user friendly system.

Cons

The initial customer service reps when calling in seem to struggle with general knowledge or tasks. I think having a dedicated account manager could be beneficial.

Our experience has been mixed. We are a small company and unfortunately don't often get the help we need from . Very often when we ask for help we are sent links to articles to read or get generic answers that aren't very helpful. It really feels like because we are a small company we are pushed aside in a way that large companies aren't.

Pros

has really helped streamline our onboarding process and saved tons of time. We also use Time & Labor for our hourly employees which makes tracking time much easier.

Cons

Settings and permissions can be extremely complicated and changing one thing very often breaks something else. Even when working directly with support, things still break because very often aren't very forward thinking.

### "Ups and Downs"

The implementation in Jan of 2024 was not done to our expentations. Overtime things have gotten better.

Pros

The payroll processing is very good. Timetracking is a better setup compated to ADP. The value of the our current set up is very good.

Cons

The employee data is very hard to correct on a mass scale and are still correcting errors from 1/24.

Overall, very good. Our assigned support person does change out on a pretty regular basis, so we don't have a real "person", but all seem knowledgeable and are helpful.

Pros

Flexibility in set up and reporting. Employee access, although we have few who use it for some reason!

Cons

We had a rough onboarding, so the first couple of months were rocky. Also minimal product training. However, after we got past though I came to really like the product.

### "Pros & Cons of Paylocity"

Overall, it's a positive experience, but one thing that has been challenging for us is our relationship with our Reps. We are a multi-state company so we have some interesting requests, and it seems that some of the reps don't have the knowledge required to "keep up" with us. Luckily, our current rep \[sensitive content hidden\] has been great, but in the back of my mind I'm nervous because it seems anytime we have a good rep, they get promoted to another position.

Pros

I like how easy it is to navigate. The PEAK knowledge base is also a great tool that I recommend to everyone.

Cons

Sometimes changes aren't communicated clearly. For example, in 2024 when you started to rollout the new "Run Payroll" experience, the timeline for the removal of the old processing kept changing and was never clear. Luckily, we were able to get comfortable with the "Run Payroll" before the old way was removed.
